Hey Peeps, So its been quite a bad week for my girl. Its rained every day apart from today and shes been lollipoped not by me. The damage that you can see actually occured over one night, in a word carnage 😔 Ive taken her out of her hidey hole about mid week as one more attack like this and shed be dead, just gonna have to risk her out in the open and hope that the neighbours dont notice if she recovers. Week 11 Veg - Mentha de Croco Mutants Hello, Grow Diaries fam! 🌱✨ This week’s update is all about setting up for the big transition—we’re finally flipping these beauties into flower! But before we do, I took some important steps to ensure a smooth transition. Defoliation & Why It Matters Before Flower Before the flip, I gave them a thorough defoliation, clearing out lower and overcrowded leaves. Why? Because: More Light Penetration – Helps lower bud sites develop properly. Better Airflow – Reduces humidity buildup and risk of mold. Focused Energy – Encourages the plant to put energy into strong bud production instead of unnecessary foliage. Of course, balance is key—I trimmed enough to open things up but left plenty for healthy growth. Final Pre-Flip Routine • Temps & RH: Holding steady at 22°C with 66% RH, keeping conditions ideal before flower. • 💧 Nutrients: Running the Aptus Holland Clean Feeding Approach with: • Regulator for plant resilience. • RO Water Conditioner to balance pH and improve uptake. • System Clean, even though I’m not using a hydro system, to keep the root zone optimal. • All-in-One Liquid, which is now the primary nutrient source. • 🔄 Watering: Still bottom-watering to keep gnats away and encourage strong root growth. 36-48 Hours of Darkness Before the Flip Before switching the room to 11 hours of light and 13 hours of darkness, I’ll be giving them a 36-48 hour dark period. This technique helps signal the plants that it’s time to transition, leading to a faster and stronger flower initiation. Setted up this cutting of Skywalker. Having some initial problems with air and humidity. Hopefully is going to rain soon so humidity will rise a bit. Planning to do some LST and ScrOG. I'm helped by a friend because my skills are not good enough yet. Let me know if you liked the sequences! I'm trying to do some timelapse research as well. Raspberry is running the timelapse and compiling the video I'm trying to update every day or two. 😷7/12 Changed water due nutrients deposit. Clean start as the roots have touched the water. EC 1.5 Ph 6.2 😵Ps. light was set with VEG and BLOOM BOTH ON! Lol, hopefully this is the 5th day 😂

HARVEST TIME AT DAY 55 - 06/08/21 I wanted to get these ladies cut before we go through a heat spell. they were all ready but the gelato could have used a few extra days to make some more amber trikes... oh well cut them all and hung them at 72F @ 55%RH - hopefully I can keep the temps from fluctuating too much! I did a bit of trimming before the 48 hour dark period but none today see y'all in a week or so... if i can keep the temps good then it should be more like 10 days... we'll see! THCdaddy

May 26; entering week 4 so things will start happening soon. First few weeks it always looks like nothing is happening. Cool overnight temperatures also keep the growth a bit slow, but the weather is good and I’m sure there will be a big growth spurt very soon. Did weekly foliar spray of Extreme Blend from Kelp4less.com May 30: small watering with some Natures Source and molasses. Pretty warm at 27 C and Thunderstorm came at 9 pm. Plants had their hats on for protection. Nice rain with some serious thunder. ⛈️⛈️ May 31: another warm day with an evening thunderstorm. Plants protected. June 1: they got rained on today.

So today I added Earth 🌎 juice Hi-brix molasses I love this stuff good flavor I've been giving everything 2 ml mostly ph is staying at 6.4 ph a little 6.3 ph I wish I had that hundredth place to dial it in more. ***May 13 No reservoir change any more until the end of flower. I'm just filling it up with water as it goes, I'll let the plant flush itself out for anything it needs. Mainly because it's gotten too big and heavy to take out of the tent comfortably. The branches are all leaning over, and the buds are starting to finish up now. I have to take the loop to it to check the trichomes, but I think in another week or a little longer I'll be able to chop her down. Man I'm so excited to see what she brings to smoke!! I've never seen a freakshow with big nugs and not looking like a wiry mess, so I am a little proud of myself for a first hydro hahaha. Still dank as hell when I open the tent. Sorry for all the late updates, things are getting busy!
