Looking lovely for week 1 of flower

Day 28 of flower and I’m very happy with these two ladies atm. In both vids, you can tell which one will have the fatter nuggs. The plant in the first vid, was transplanted into Fox Farm Ocean Soil and the other was not. I can tell you right now, your grow medium definitely makes or breaks your grow. I will be using FF as medium of choice from here on out. Not much else to say other than they’re done stretching and are starting to fattening up every day. Got a little over 40 days left until it’s harvest time. 42 to be exact! But I’ll catch yall on the next update ✌️🏾

Hey folks. Into week 4. Just some regular maint. Topped some branches that were ready. Some selective defoiliation and a mix of hst and lst. Water as the plants need it running pH down to 6.1 this week. Plants seen a bit of rain so I was surprised how thirst the bigger plants are getting. See ya on the next update

6/22 Some pictures didn't upload but that's probably a good thing. As long as the video went up its good. I need to take less pictures. I'm glad I watered the plants in the back with a premixed gallon last night as we didnt get nearly the rain I thought we would. It's small showers throughout the day. The plants are getting enormous. A couple have revegged. Mostly the 10th planet. The others aren't anywhere near as impacted. Boy are some of these stalks thick. I chose to keep a couple plants that could be grown naturally without topping or fimming. I like to see the structure of the tree bit with humidity like this 98%rh it's easy to get botrytis. That's why it's good sometimes to have multiple bid sites so your proverbial eggs aren't all in one basket. But you do end up with a massive cola. I think that mk ultra with the big fan leavescis just going to be one giant bud. That's what it's looking like. Oh and today is the summer solstice. Longest day of the year. 6/23 WATERED EVERYTHING. USED FIVE AND A HALF GALLONS. EVERYTHING GOT AT LEAST A HALF GALLON. Despite the rain we got and the bags still having some heft I decided to water. It's 80 at 9am. It's supposed to he in the upper 90's today and coukd break 100° tomorrow. I hate that the grow bags are black. That's way to hot for the plants. I should find some empty soil bags and wrap the black fabric for a couple days. A sunscreen might help but I doubt much. We'll see how it goes. 6/24 It's 90° at 9am. It's supposed to break 100° amd stay there a while. Up to 106°. Plants looked awesome this morning. I wasn't sure what I'd find. Today is the worst of the days. If it didn't break 100 yesterday it was damn close all day and the girls look GREAT. I WATERED AGAIN TODAY. I USED EITHER 5.5 OR 6.5 GALLONS TO WATER THE GARDEN. It was nice cool well water too so they should like that. Branches are getting longer and I'm training as the get bigger. I need to put up the trellis but I'm not doing it in this heat.

Happy New Year!!! Over the past week I did some HST bending on my photos and cut down 2 of the 3 Blackberry’s. The branches are starting to recover and straighten out after the HST now. I still have some issues with pale leaves and a few spots here and there. I’m going to try adding some Dolomite Lime with the next watering and think that should help with the paleness. I’m also going to up the amount of CalMag and Mammoth P to see if that helps with the spotting. I’m not sure if I should see the spotted leaves recover or if the spots will remain. I suspect the spots will remain on the existing leaves regardless of what I do at this point, but hopefully no new spotting will develop. The lights went off before I was done taking pics, so some pics will look a little different. The pics with the lights on I had to color correct, they still look a little more on the yellow side than in reality, but much closer to reality than the pre-color corrected versions. Once the lights went off I turned the flash on for my camera, those pics did not need any color correction. You can see the differences in the pics of all plants, the first 2 are color corrected with the lights on, the last 2 are taken with a flash and no color correction. Also all close up pics of the Critical+ are with the lights off and flash on. I read several books on cannabis over the past few days, some good, some not so much. One that I liked was “Marijuana Cultivation Reconsidered: The Science and Techniques For Huge Indoor Yields” by Read Spear. This book is available on Amzon’s Kindle Unlimited service, which costs $9.99/month, but they offer a free 30 day trial (which is what I’m using at the moment). Reed’s book is broken down into 3 sections, the first and third go fairly deep into the science behind growing, he does a pretty good job at breaking it down in easy to understand terms, but I had to read several sections 2 or 3 times to really get it (or just move on with as much understanding as I could digest). The second section is the nuts and bolts of growing. Most was a review but there were several topics he touched on I hadn’t thought of in a while. And again its well written. He also offers the section only in a separate book called “Small Spaces, Big Yields”. If you are not interested in going deeper into the science behind growing, “Small Spaces, Big Yields” is what I would recommend (if interested in reading books on cannabis). I took some notes while reading and I’m going to add some of these notes in my dairy updates over the next few weeks. This week I’m going to include a note on electrical, this should be a fairly basic concept, but it is super important IMO… “Electrical Items In a sealed grow room or in a tent, you will have water pooling on the floor from time to time. There is no avoiding this. Mop it up when you see it, and never put your electrical gear directly on the floor. Never. Not even for a moment. In fact, let me stress this point in bold capital letters. ALL ELECTRICAL GEAR MUST BE MOUNTED SECURELY ON A WALL OR TENT POLE.” -Read Spear I’ll add more did bits like this in my diaries over the upcoming weeks. If anyone has any good book recommendations please let me know in the comments. I’m looking for books that might not be as popular as the ones by Jorge Cervantes or Ed Rosenthal (I’ve read those). I did just order “True Living Organics” by The Rev which I’m looking forward to reading. But I’m looking for more. I really want to step it up and learn as much as possible. Grow diary / germination / The new adventure begins Hello, dear grower friends! 😊 I’m back with a new grow diary and a new adventure. This is my second grow and I’m excited to try new things and improve my skills. I’m thankful for all the support and feedback I’ve received from you . 🙏 In this week’s update, I want to talk about: My setup My seeds My germination My expectations My setup My setup is still an 80 by 80 by 180 cm tent, which is a bit small but nothing else fits in my room. I’m very satisfied with it for the beginning, but I will get a Homebox for the third run because I find the zippers better processed and the inlay reflects more light. My lamp is a LUmatek 200 watt pro edition, which I’m absolutely happy with. It has great handling and processing and it gives enough light for my plants. If I get a smaller tent for a mother plant, I will order from Lumatek again 110 percent. My exhaust is twice as strong as I need it so I can keep it at a quiet 50 percent. It keeps the air fresh and the temperature stable. The temperature is around 25°C and the humidity is around 60%. I water my plants manually according to the Biobizz fertilizer scheme. I use organic nutrients and adjust the pH of the water. The plants are in Lightmix now and will move to 20 l fabric pots in Allmix when transplanting. My seeds As seeds I have this time: 1 Orange Sherbert from Barneys Farm 1 Bruce Banner 1 Apple Fritter 2 Lemon Gelato from a collaboration of Zamnesia and Kannabia These are all very special strains that I’m curious to try. The Lemon Gelato seeds were limited to 500 and I hope they will be fantastic. Of course I have conserved some for later grows. My germination I germinated the seeds in a glass of water for 24 hours and then planted them in small pots with Lightmix. They sprouted after 2-3 days and are now showing their first true leaves. They look healthy and happy, except for one Lemon Gelato seed that didn’t make it, which was probably my fault. The other one is very lively. I have them under the lamp at 18/6 light cycle and at about 50 cm distance. I water them every two days with a spray bottle and a little bit of root juice. My expectations I’m looking forward to the new challenge, especially because it’s a mix of 4 strains this time and I hope we can build on past successes. I want to improve my scrog technique and top the plants at least 3 times. I also want to try mainlining on one of them. Been slacking at updating this. Putting in a lot of OT at work and the diary has fallen to the wayside for a bit. Had to put the trellis netting up. The two Lemon Haze plants are getting chunky and falling over under their own weight. Looks like they only have a couple weeks left where as the two Grandaddy Purp on the left side look more like they have 3 to 4 more to go. Hard to tell as they don't seem to be swelling up as much as the other two. Getting so close I can SMELLLLL IT!!

08/23/2023 Starting week 2 flowering AK #1 is now 17" tall AK #2 is now 12.5" tall Bruce Banner is 16" tall All going well no more bug issues fed a little bit of nitrogen this week in the form of (901 C release) 1/4 strength trying to push some Carbon on her, no more Nitrogen will be used after week 2 of flowering, only P-K will be from Fox Farms Big Bloom 0-0.5-0.7 mixed with Bio-Remedy Hope that they have more stretch in them but time will tell. Either way flower are exploding all over her! Going to give them some Fresh Aloe Vera water, there loaded with Amino acids other good stuff. 08/27/2022 Not sure if auto flower goes through different flowering stages, if they do phase one is fleeting first flush of pistils fading and fresh ones popping up everywhere . Bruce Banner is a resin monster even some bigger leaves getting resin rails.

Day 29: As my plant is entering the pre-flower stage, I’ve adjusted her nutrition accordingly. To support the stretch, I decided to only use a mix of grow and bloom nutrients. I’m using half the amount recommended in the feeding chart because, in my last grow, one of my plants showed signs of nitrogen toxicity. Day 30 and 31: The weather has been excellent, promoting rapid growth. She’s growing so quickly that I have to adjust the LST daily. The first pistils are appearing, and the tied-down side branches are shooting upwards again. I still bring her back onto the balcony overnight due to the unusually high number of snails, and I'm tired of doing nightly patrols.still feels weird to walk out of my garden with weed plants without worrying. It's fucking legal 🤟🏽 Day 32: The weather has turned into a mix of heavy rain, thunderstorms, and extreme humidity. In a previous grow, I had to remove two plants due to bud rot, so I’m being extra cautious with this one. While inspecting the undersides of the leaves, I discovered some spider mites. I removed them by hand and brought the plant inside. I then sprayed a solution of 0.5 liters of water mixed with 1.5 ml of neem oil on and under the leaves. I plan to repeat this treatment tomorrow, which should resolve the issue. Since the buds are still in early development, the neem oil should not cause any problems. Day 34: The weather was really nice today with no rain, just a little wind. I adjusted the LST once again as she's getting very bushy. I had to remove a few leaves to ensure the lower branches receive enough light. Before going to bed, I sprayed her all over with neem oil one last time. No more neem oil after that because I don't want to fuck up the taste.

The Good: ---------------- - Conditions within the bin are stable. The Bad: --------------- - Noticed pistils at the top node site on the 26th day as well as a Phosphorus deficiency. Might be the sudden change in the light schedule from 24h/d to 20h/d after germination that triggered flowering.

These girls got lollipopped and a defoliation this week. I think having some more air flow at the pots level they'll get the dryback I'm shooting for. Now they'll also be able to focus all there energy on the top colas. All in all Happy Growing.

5/26/21 Week 3 of flower. PH 5.96 tds 735. Going to have to figure out how to lower canopy. Plant has grown way more then expected. 5/27/21 PH 5.8 TDS 760. Plant seems to have stopped her stretch thank goodness 😅. Seems to have drank alot of water, reserves depleted by half. She missed her foliar feeding, recharge, and water change yesterday as I was away. She will get all that later this evening. After next Saturday I will discontinue the canopy boost. Look at the size of that stalk! Changed nutrient water PH 6.02 tds 750 recieved recharge and foliar feed. 5/29/21 PH 5.98 TDS 740 Gave last foliar feeding. Gave 2 quarts recharge. Tied branches down. 5/30/21 PH 5.86 TDS 740 Added water to reserves PH 5.96 TDS 780. Plant has drank half. Readjusted some of the ties. Added a third fan for circulation. Trimmed some suckers that I missed. 6/1/21 filled reserves PH 5.98 TDS 780

Since the pot has a volume of 30l it takes a lot of time to create a big canopy. The plant also needs alot of time to fill up the container with roots. No extra nutrition in this week.
