Seven weeks of flower done and another three or four left. The plants are drinking lots and the buds are starting to fatten up. I see amber hairs and new white hairs continuing to grow out of the sides and top. Bud building is not over, more happy days. Did a bit of leaf trimming, just to get a bit more light in. I’ve been flushing the plants for a week now. The colas have definitely gotten fatter from last week. It’s looking like I’ll be harvesting in 1 more week. Pretty much all the trichomes are milky and I’m starting to get amber ones.

Harvest: Everything dried up to 347 grams + 96 grams of super high quality trim. Overall I am not too pleased with the smoke of the product. Although the bud size, bag appeal, smell and taste are pretty much all there, the shitty burn is a deal breaker for me and the majority of this weed is quite frankly useless. Another downside is while smoking I’ve found 4 seeds in an ounce from almost every strain. Light leaks? At least I learned a ton, including how to get super good burn for my next crop. I’m hoping that curing for a month or so will improve the burn but I wouldn’t really count on it. I have seen weed dried for 4 days with no cure and no flush smoke clean and not go out once. I have been told that the key to white ashes/clean burn is proper mineral content in the soil and there is tons of scientific studies on cigar ash going back 100 years. Plants grown in a medium with high levels of decomposing organic matter, phosphorus, magnesium, chlorine and heavy metal ratio tend to produce black/grey ash. Whereas plants grown in a medium with a higher ratio of trace minerals like calcium carbonate and potassium in the form of wood ash, rock dusts, oyster shell flour and lower levels of decomposing organic matter will produce a dense, uniform white ash that rarely goes out. But this is still all theory until I test it to confirm for myself a few times. My last few outdoor harvests did not improve with curing at all so I’m hoping this will be the missing link. Plain peat moss and coco clearly lack essential minerals that help burn. If said theory is correct I should find a synthetic nutrient line with more trace minerals. Makes me wonder if growing if rockwool/basalt rock could improve burn in a hydro setup. I think I did a fairly decent job for my first grow. I went wrong in a million different places but I still stuck it out and got some decent herb. Things went wrong early when I got black spot mold, nitrogen/magnesium deficiencies and powdery mildew. I corrected most of it but things didn’t get really bad until mid veg when I intentionally skipped a few feedings and defoliated quite heavily stunting the plants. I also didn’t even top or start LST until the 6-9th node which was really stupid and hurt my yield. My temperatures were all over the place from the learning curve. I was severely overwatering without realizing it. 100% peat moss is a shitty medium. I also fed way too late in flower (not what caused shitty burn). I also used synthetic nutrients in soil. 9/2 allowin showing colors finally, getting purple I some fanleaves, she's smelling super sweet like berries 9/4 she's getting so so frosty. Shes growing/budding like a typical sativa. Super Long slender nugs with ridiculous amounts of frost/crystals covering all surrounding sugar leaf. Yet still small and slender actual bud formation. I am very impressed by the resin production so far though. (Sativas always look Impressive(crystals) but lack actual bud structure) Watered and introduced beastie bloomz to the mix instead of open sesame. Hoping to pack on extra weight. On a side note: the clone from this plant is flowering as well. I have limited the addition of most nutrients besides what was already in the soil. Its cool to note that the clone that hasnt been fed flowering nutes like the mother plant has, is lacking in smell, color and resin production, in comparison between feeding with open sesame vs not feeding besides water as needed. Its not surprising but i love seeing the proof

Hey everyone :-) I am so glad that all the clones are looking great again because the pump failed overnight in the last few days and everyone hung their heads the next day 😔. Once again you notice how fast it can go as soon as the electronics fail. But everything was fixed in time and, as always, I have all the parts available for replacement. They look great again and stretch their heads towards the light :-). It remains exciting to see which lady stays in the end because, as mentioned in the last diary, I will only leave a single clone to train him to a single bush with topping and ScrOG ☺️. Week 4 Bloom 31/08 - Mass defoliation day, #1 was suffering from the amount of leafs it had, #2 was not as bad, has filled its own structure out nicely and outgrown #1. Flushed and changed water. Upped the liquid potash. Added a tiny bit of CMX due to #2 showing a slight magnesium deficiency. Switched from PSI to cyco silica due to running out of PSI. Humidity and temperatures have been near perfect, 28-38% RH and 20-25 degrees celsius, extra exhaust ventilation helped a lot.

D 75 02/04 just water this week, I'm very happy with this run!

Day 43 : Watering with co2 tab / 5L. Also added food again because i think they need it. Increased ppm to 850. Maybe the next one will be pure water. Ventilation works all the time when lights are on. Temp and humi are stable and this is good for the girls. Although she is indica, she still grows. 9 cm in 3 days. So i guess this is the reason her buds are a bit behind. Patience is the key always. Also removed some burned leaves from all ladies. Edit (Day 47) : Watering with co2 tab every 5L. I watered with juices again at 850ppm because i felt that they need it. Only WC drank pure water because of burns. She grow 13cm in 4 days. An indica pheno stretches like she is in preflowering stage. And this i think is happening. At start she took a lot of air and maybe she felt cold. So, now she started again to develop. I make a prediction that her buds will be really fat. She is very healthy and responses absolute perfect to the nutrient schedule.

Day23 today I increased the power of the light at 600w 🤩 I took the seek gorilla melon out finally haven’t recover 😢 Day 24 I topped the Two gorilla melon and two of the papaya sherbet 🍀✌️ Day27 all good 👌 All guava auto’s enter in flowering stage first pistil are showing 😎

Dutch Passion Shaman Beide Pflanzen haben die tagelangen teils heftigen Regenfälle unter ihrem Schirm gut überstanden. Sie kamen auch beide gut ohne Wasser zurecht. Mein Plan, sie durch Reduktion der Wasserverdunstung vor Schaden zu schützen, hat funktioniert. Beobachten konnte ich eine deutliche Zunahme an Trichomen. Der Duft der beiden ist sehr angenehm floral und fügt sich unauffällig in den Geruch des Gartens ein. So kann es weiter gehen. Die Wetterprognose sieht gut aus. Zwei Nächte wurde der Taupunkt unterschritten, die Pflanzen und Blüten waren bis mittags mit Raureif bedeckt. Ich kontrolliere die Blätter und Blüten deshalb weiterhin täglich. In der kommenden Woche soll es aber keinen Nebel mehr geben und so freue ich mich, dass beide weiterhin gesund sind und weiter reifen können. Bis nächste Woche! 💚

Flowering looks awesome on the ChemDog! Lots of bud sites and they're growing at a respectable rate. ATF's are running 3 plants in 3 diff stages- one's a couple weeks into flower, one's just starting,and one's still the holdout. Meanwhile, I've got flowering on the Night Nurse and one of the Viper Cookies. The rest are close but I can't say for sure they've transitioned. Weather's getting into a hot and humid phase, gotta watch that ChemDog. Think it's got a decent structure for ventilation but I've read horror stories on how the Dog loves mold. Further training of the branches has been fruitful, I'm seeing a lot more topside bud sites than usual. I'm working on irrigation-- I set up a 30 gal container and it works for drip, but without a pipe system it's still one at a time, although I have to admit it's worth it to save my back. Plus, I have to have a supply ready for use in case my buddy needs to fill in for me and water the ladies. Been checking the cameras regularly ( I have them all throughout the property, game cameras with IR flash), and to date haven't seen anything that would constitute a threat. Just some curious raccoons and one really ugly opossum. Even the skunks don't bother them this year, which is nice but a little strange considering they dig in them every year. It's really just the animals I'm watching for, people aren't as much of a concern. Mostly because I don't know any. Aside from that, I sleep with my head feet away from my babies, so somebody would have to have big brass ones to even try. Yes, I know, a little overprotective. Fingers crossed it'll be one hell of a harvest (by my standards). 8/11 Update: Been lucky still with the weather, but it's turning really humid. Fed the girls this morning, a mix of 1C molasses and 1/2C epsom salt in 20 gallons. Just a little supplement to the tiger bloom they've been feasting on. Speaking of the Tiger Bloom, I can't help but think I'd do just as well mixing my own nutrient solution, since the cost really adds up quick. For his year, however, it'll be fine. My watering gizmo is working well, just leaks a tiny bit and that's fine for the remainder of the year. Now that I have an idea of what works for me I can spend the off-season setting up something right. Had to thin out the Lamb's a bit, it wasn't getting anywhere near enough air flow. Also took a few on the ChemDog as I'm expecting mold/rot conditions for a while and she's prone. Shouldn't have much problem, wind blows almost constantly here, but you can never be too careful. Training is taking well, overall they look pretty good. Next year-- bigger grow bags, better soil, and much pickier seed choices. I think I may even abandon the idea of topping them in the future-- it just slows them down and you can get the same end results with training. Granted, my ladies are kinda sparse and ugly, but that's the learning curve. Next time around I think I have a pretty good idea of what to do and when to do it, based on what worked and didn't work this year. Another big thing is nutrient timing-- I def jumped the gun on flower power for a few of them and it just stunted them wicked-- shoulda continued veg food a couple weeks into flower even for the early bloomer, she'd be a monster.
