🥦 Vegetative Week 5 Canopy Control & Pre Flower Preparation

🌡️ Environmental Status
-Temperature: ~26°C stable
-Humidity: balanced for vegetative development
-Light Schedule: 18/6
-Airflow: strong and consistent to support dense foliage
These stable conditions allowed focused work on canopy shaping before the flowering transition.
✂️ Strategic Defoliation & ScroG Installation
Two defoliation sessions were carried out during the week to:
-Improve light penetration through the canopy
-Increase airflow around developing branches
-Direct plant energy toward productive growth tips
Recovery was quick, and new growth sites quickly began pushing upward through the SCROG net.
🍵 Nutrient & Supplement Program
-Hy-Pro Terra Veg/Bloom: 5 ml/L
-Hy-Pro Terra Rootstimulator: 5 ml/L
-Hy-Pro Generator: 0.2 ml/L
-Hy-Pro Cal/Mag: 5 ml/L (every second watering)
Additionally, Hy-Pro Spraymix was applied daily in the evening at 5 ml/L to support leaf vitality and overall plant health.

NCH x SB is starting to fade significantly and has stopped throwing out new pistils, trichomes are significantly cloudy and a few on the sugar leaves are beginning to turn amber. Debating whether I should pull her at full cloudy in a week or two or wait until I see more amber. Sour Kush is still fattening up and has a lot of white pistils yet to mature, trichomes are of course a mixture of clear/milky, no fade on this plant yet. Tangerine Dream is making great progress in flowering and bud sites have thickened up considerably, trimmed a majority of larfy bud sites on this plant since the discrepancy in the distance to the light was so large. Water pH 6.15, EC 0.4. Feed pH 6.15, EC 0.717.

Half way through the week of germination the seedling started to grow horizontally, removed humidity tent, turned off the heating pad, and built up the soil around her base. Plant seems to be doing fine now.

26.12.24:
I have noticed light stress on my plants. I had moved the lights further away and increased the light intensity to 70%. Unfortunately that created some issues. Namely severe palour of the leaves.
To try and rectify the situation, I've dimmed the lights to about 30%, staying at the same distance, about 30 inches away. I measured the par levels, after I did this. They should a reading of anywhere between 40 and 150, at the canopy of the plants. They are all different sizes. This seems to have improved the colouring on all plants.
After this evenings watering, I will monitor recovery and increase lighting intensity again slowly. I am also using the light cycle of 21/3, so the plants have many hours more light to absorb, than for example 12/12 or 18/6.
I am pleased with the progress, considering all of my mistakes!
29.12.24:
So I finally gave LST a shot, it's probably a bit too late, however I really want to get the most of the triploid pheno, and I went a little crazy and LST'd all plants except 2, as they're too small.
I did that late last night, this afternoon I was amazed to see the plants turn their leaves back to the light source. I'm glad I overcame my fear of trying it. I'm very excited to see them adapt and progress! 😁 there are videos above with before and after of my LST process.

Let’s Go day 29!! This week went real nice ! Girls are staying very healthy and building up nicely and even started showing signs of female sex which is super great ! We started doing a little bit of leaf tuck training method on em , nothing to big as like I said I want these girls just to do there thang an grow more on naturally side! My Air temp and Humidity have been on point all week, staying from 70-75 degrees throughout the day and humidity staying around 58-61% humidity , my girls are loving that summer an 75 feeling !! Can’t wait to see what we do this week ! Hopefully you all enjoy, and are ready for another great productive week ! beautiful genetics, except that I left it for a few days too close to led ... and I bleached one or two leaflets! otherwise I can only have nice words for this genetics in cbd.
it grows a lot even indoors, makes many branches, and has a pungent smell, the life cycle is almost over, it will be a good harvest

With a good Flushing out my little chunks are now ready for the chop. I think a combination of Anxious and Excitement begin to overtake, whilst all the time a nagging voice in the back of my head whispering 'are you sure its the right time'. This little voice i must admit has been a preoccupying factor and by far the most difficult decision so far.
Despite this and the little voice screaming away i have decided that i am to stick by my guns and Harvest these Chunky delights as planned!

5/25 watered with pH about six. I finished trellising everything. One end left tacked so I can slide the girls in. Wife had medical emergency or they would be in the ground right now. Oh well I imagine a day more won't hurt but I'm getting excited. Spot treated WPM on a GDP. I have a feeling I'm going to need to be on point with my IPM this year.
5/26 I finally got the girls in their homes! It's a tight fit. Only seven right now. I'm considering using axium to help with any transplant shock. They were already severely rootbound in 2 gal when I got them and some were VERY rootbound in the 3 gal. They were transplanted using mykos and info a 50 gal pot and grow bags 30 and 20 gals. I may use kangaroos or something tomorrow. A few were rough transplants since they were so big and rootbound. I'm hoping everything works out. I'll try to keep this updated. I also put most of them in backwards lol. I'm sure it doesn't matter but I turned the few I was able too.
5/27 Plants look great. I was a little worried about transplant shock but damn they seem fine. Rained lightly last night.
5/31 I see pH fluctuation on some leaves. Soil wasn't mixed enough on a couple plants. pH jumped to 8 on one
I hope the rain lowered it. They survived a couple stops and still doing good. No nutes yet.

Everything is going good. Plants a little small. Small buds. Just made a video. It's actually week 9 flower today. They will get chopped at 10 or 11 weeks. Had to harvest flosee x red runtz couple days ago. Really fast finish. She was done at week 8 but I let it ride till 9. Red runtz strains are usually fast.
