Medium: Look, I love coco/soil, organic/synthetic just as much as anyone. I’ve never really hated on any particular method and each has its uses depending upon the environment. That being said.... hydro is likely to be the predominant indoor method for us going forward. It ticks all the boxes that the average hobby grower is looking for. Maintenance is generally pretty easy, while I’ve found myself monitoring ph and tds more frequently, I’m still only mixing nutes once a week instead of three. The hassle factor is crazy mitigated here👍. From a sustainability perspective, nute consumption is wayyyy down, saving more dolla bills y’all! Added bonus is that veg. Growth rates are just insanely fast. From the moment she popped her head out to the start of week 4, this girl was fimmed, pruned, trained and flipped. She put out a full oz. more than the 6 week(v) mainline beside er😳. Now that is just straight amazing😎. The key advantages - BIG F$&K’N YIELDS and auto pilot care for up to 2 weeks. It is a little bit of a tricky medium but once you dial in the ratios - smooth sail’n the whole grow. I can focus on training/maintenance instead of feeding🤟🤟. If there’s a drawback to DWC it would be that I’d have concerns about leaving it for more than a couple days when she’s in full flower. They just drink so much that It’s a constant top off. All told, far and away the most effective and economical medium we’ve used😎. Method 🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️🎚️ Under this COB light system, the best method to date has definitely been a mainline. It’s got so much canopy penetration that we’re pulling down 16” long colas packed with well developed buds. Here’s where strain, medium and method kinda collide though. This girl was on a hurry up and go schedule. We lost the first one to root rot and had to get this one off the ground and mature before the cycle sched. Was gonna flip. Not to mention it was totally screwing with our spring nursery timing too. She was fimmed once and then splayed with LST. Not much either - just enough to get er spread apart a little. So you combine ultra fast growth rates of hydro with a big yield strain like this on a fast paced training method that limits required recovery times... and you get this monster. Just a perfect grow that anyone would be extremely happy with. We used frozen water bottles In the res. twice a day throughout the grow. My issues with light leaks and temps are well documented and I’m constantly running up against one or the other as a hurdle. This plant was no different and she started to re-veg. In the last few days prior to chop. All due to a light leak from the cabinet beside this one that was running on an 18/6. Gonna have to plug some light holes prior to next grow. Other than that - she was amazing and the method here is getting an unusually high and very rare 5/5.😳 Yield/Harvest🌴🌴🌴🌴 The final number is just so sweet. 6.04oz and she veg’d less than a month. Overall, I could confidently say that’s both faster and better than most typical autos in general😳😎👍👌. Any time your rock’n out 5+oz is a good haul but in this kinda time frame - that’s just crazy. We let her go just a little longer (again, as per Spliff’s direction) and it was worth the extra patience. She’s dense as all hell and a nice add to the stash🤟. I had some Explosive growth this week at least to me it seams like it haven’t seen my girls in a week I must say I’m Impressed this crazy how I’m better with clones then Germinating seeds anyway that’s it tell next week with these girls oh yeah regular water for next feed for my record

So this week the plants streched like crazy, the NL started to flower too and has actually become taller then the other 2 plants, even though its technically 2 weeks behind. the strange thing is its way more spacious then the packed Diesel.... it'll be fun seeing how they match up in the end! My new fan and dehumidifier solved the RH issue I had and I crushed it down to under 50% now! Things are looking like they're on the right track.....fingers crossed! I wonder if there is anything else I can add , nutrient wise... i know I shouldn't overdo it but I'll play around a bit and see. Got rid of most bigger and medium fan leaves that i felt were blocking the bud-sites from getting light...again, not sure about if I'm going about this the right way, seems counter-intuitive to get rid of so much green but hey ...it helps greatly with lowering humidity and keeps the bottom of the girls nice and ventilated. I actually took off a bit more because it keeps growing shut. Update: got some big bud and overdrive from my local grow shop... I'll give it a try...

And another adventure has come to an end! This one in particular had its share of challenges. From using EC levels that were too high to broken grow light. But we pulled through in the end. It’s an extraordinary strain, especially for old-school terpene lovers like me. I highly recommend it! Now we’re ready for the next one! Stay tuned!

Hello Diary, Purple Lemonade has reached the end of the second week of flowering. The flowers have started to form nicely. The areas around the flowers themselves are lighter so it is clearly visible where all the flowers are forming, and I have much more motives for taking photos. Purple Lemonade has started to stagnate in growth, this week it has grown 8 cm. At this stage Purple Lemonade has taken its final form and now the plant will direct most of its energy into the development of the flowers. The leaves are a healthy green color and so far I do not show any signs that the plant is lacking anything. Watering was every three days, I continued to add CalMg and Bio-Bloom Fertilizer. The conditions in the grow box are now much better. The temperature is around 28 degrees and the humidity is below 50%. Purple Lemonade is progressing very nicely so far, which I am very happy about. Here is a short overview of the week. 24/08/2024 - Day 31. Watering. I prepared 9 liters of water. I added CalMg 1 ml/lit, Bio-Bloom Fertiliser 1.5 ml/lit and then lowered the p.H. to 6.0. With this amount I watered all three plants evenly. 27/08/2024 - Day 34. Watering. I repeated the same procedure as three days earlier. 28/08/2024 - Day 35. End of the second week of flowering, or the fifth week from the beginning of vegetation. Photographing and measuring the height of the plants. Seedlings are struggling. My guess is it's from over watering substrate with vermiculite in it but I'm not 100% sure. I've been fairly moderate with water. If they were in regular potting mix this amount of water would have been okay. Next time I'll start them in plain potting soil. I also thought that maybe there was a nutrient shortage because I'm using 25% coco coir but actually this seems unlikely. In any case I put a bit of extra soil on top of the pots. Despite the browning off this week the stems are still really strong. I'm still confident they will recover and just need time. The temperature fluctuations of the last week might have had a negative effect.

Picked up some rhizotonic and had the fan on the past few days and all is looking well! They have been rotated as they started leaning towards the light and bending in one direction..My last veg light was 200/250w blue CFL however didn't notice at the shop I got a 125w I will pick up a bigger veg light for a slightly higher warmth and a bit more light coverage. Using the canna Coco range nothing else.

Lemon Cherry Pie apparently seems happy and healthy. Not super grown but going well. I topped her on day 26 and soon I will start with some lst. Let’s go 💪🏼🙏🏼🙌🏼

All plants are doing ok so far. Gave all foliar sprays of BT as there is pest pressure elsewhere in the garden. Supported the tall ones for for a windy day with 20-30mph gusts, they took the wind like champs. Wedding cheesecake the oldest and is starting to give a hint of sweet funk sometimes. Update: While checking plants today, Wedding Cheesecake had a brownish bud (bottom branch). I snip it off, no other affected sites. I will be checking diligently now, as weather has been very hot and humid.
