Die fünfte Blütewoche ist zu Ende: Viel habe ich nicht gemacht. Die Buds schwellen jeden Tag sichtbar an, der Geruch hat sich in Richtung Kirschkaugummi entwickelt. Bei der rechten Pflanze entwickelt sich ein kleiner Rotstich. Anzeichen vom purpeln? Wär ja cool.

Background Fingers crossed that these Spicy Bitch regs provide at least one male so that we can back build some stock of it. In the event that does take place we’ve got a single clone of each strain from the previous pollen chuck to sit in the tent with them so they can make babies for the next few months. The whole point of the last year was to start making some foundational genetics for a third generational cross we could call our own. If you’ve been following along than you’ll know that it’s been anything but easy. Our previous pollen picks didn’t pan out at all so we’re back to the drawing board with a new option from ExoticSeeds. This’ll be a 10 plant run with 5 regs and 6 strains for pollination including the strain itself. We’re running in a 2x4 MarsHydro grow tent all powered by a Mars Sp6500. That’s a little more than 600w packed into half the recommended footprint😳. Why? you ask - because we like our buds big and overcompensatory😂. Really, I’m just of the mind that we can pack more light into this space than recommended and get much better results. The math doesn’t lie. At least not as long as I wasn’t high when using the calculator again….. Many thanks to @MarsHydroLED for the opportunity to test run the equipment👊. In addition, we’ve also moved to a new nutrient system - Druid Nutrients out of the Netherlands. They don’t really have a presence on GD yet but you’ll be hearing about them very soon I’m sure. The beauty of this system is that it’s literally a 1 (one) component system for the entirety of the plants grow cycle. It really has changed the game in terms of ease of feeding and maintenance. It’s also very versatile and seems to provide everything needed across multiple different strains in the same ratios. Keep your eyes peeled for these folks. Pretty much a guarantee that they absolutely blow up once more people know about them👍👌😎. Strain Background Spicy Bitch: predominantly sativa, heavy yielder with a daytime kinda trip profile. It’s a cross of Queen Mother and a Pre-2000 AK47. We’ll pull what pollen we can and hope to have a female run out a larger supply of seed for the future. Many thanks to @Exoticseeds for the chance to give these beans a go👍👊. Pollination Strains: Holy Surfer S1 - this is one of the focal points for this cycle. A fellow growmie was kind enough to ship over some S1 genetics I took an interest in. The only ask back was that if I did cross it to send a few his way for testing👍. It’s a compact and squat plant requiring very little maintenance. Typical for the strain really. It’s been chosen as an option to potentially mellow out the high , shorten the stature of the resulting hybrid and inject it with some of that mellow indica effect. Boogie Nights - total shot in the dark. Still haven’t even tried the strain myself yet but it was available at the right time and interesting enough to make a salad with. Big thanks to AMS who’ve been nothing short of an excellent seedbank to collaborate with. Expect similar growth characteristics to that of the Northern Lights. Better resilience however. Blueberry - this particular clone is from extremely strong stock. Spliff seeds broke the mold with this strain. She’s lower maintenance than the NL, more resilient than anything else we’ve got on the menu and the terp. Profile on this girl is out of this world. If we can bring any of these qualities to the cross, then it could be magic👌. White Widow - garrghh, I just can’t get away from this particular plant. Again, still haven’t even tested the buds yet and all I can say is that the growth characteristics are extremely vigorous and desirable. This plant is one of 3 unicorns that I have yet to tame due to a combo of extremely bad luck and circumstance. All told, it’s still the same story: a VERY experimental breeding project designed to shotgun a broad swath of genetics against a reliable and dependable Breeder who’s put out proven fire 🔥🤟😎👍.

I did the flushing on Mimosa on day 88. I am now watching the trichomes to see around 30/40% amber to cut it down.

Hey All!!, Today is the 24th - Happy Christmas Eve! The pictures were taken on the 19th (42 days old) they are looking quite good. They are doing a good job of stacking. Looks like they will be nice dense buds. I will be staying with what I am doing as far as feeding until it's time to flush. It does not look like they will not all finish at the same time. Of the 4 one is really turning purple, a second has more purple buds but the leaves are green, and the last two are just getting frosty but no real color, at least not yet. Also of the 4, one is really tall, two are about exactly the same and then there is one in the middle, taller than the two but ot quite as tall as the one really tall one. I will follow up next week. I skipped a week as there was nothing significant to talk about, they were just growing well. I hope everyone has a great Christmas day!

Que pasa familia, ya estamos de vuelta, estás skunk huelen una barbaridad 10/10. Ya entramos en la recta final, se ve bien en el color amarillo de las hojas, que la propia planta chupa el alimento. Ph controlado temperatura y humedad están dentro de los parámetros, son una variedad con un porte Indico pero una floración algo más lenta, vaya puntas amigo, esas flores van a estar ricas. La semana que viene os vemos fumetillas, y sobre todo buenos humos.

Week 4 and my plant is growing well but I think it has indica type leaves and not going to tall like sativa plants. Some leave are touching soil

Well we thought something was wrong with our white widow being that from one day to the other she was crooked and looking Ill.. so we cut her way before time.. BUT (bud hehe) after closer inspection it was a block of in the autopot.. so she prolly could have bounced back..

Third week flowering 💪 More buds, also on the lower part of the plants, thanks to the intense defoliation of last week 😍. This week I treated the plants a second time against the spider mites invasion of last week. Everything has gone well. Have been flushing with just pH'd water for about a week. Starting the girls dark period today. The smell is unbelievable. In week 6 my HOMEBOX growtent has filled up so much, that I need to defoliate the plants. I take them out one by one and take off all lower branches (that dont get enough light) and all leaves of the lower part of the plant. I also take off most of the bigger fan-leaves of the top part of each plant, so the light can penetrate deeper into the canopy. I also add stakes and a plant-holder-ring to each pot, so the bigger plants are supported for better growth. You can see the difference in the BEFORE AND AFTER pics above. Two PURPS-plants from BC-BUD-Depot turned out to be male and have been discarded. Into one of the empty spots I put a small plant of BLUE MINT from Mountain High Seeds as replacement. The other spot stays empty. I simply put a tray into the open spot, so the water is not in the light and no algea grows in my autopot system. The watering via the Flexitank-reservoir works very well. Once a week I fill the reservoir with water mixed with BIO NOVA nutrients, following the SOIL-CULTIVATION schedule of BIO NOVA. Since the EC of my tap water is very high (comes out with EC=1,0 already) I can only add a lower amount of nutrients, therefore I use the BIO NOVA schedule at HALF strength. My babies LOVE the light from the EVO4-120 LED-fixtures from SANlight, they THRIVE under it! At this stage my two lamps are dimmed to 80% (=two green lights are ON, on the dimmer at side of lamp) and hang at a distance of 30 cm from the top of the plants. Now after the defoliation the airflow through the tent is much better and the light can also get to the lower parts of the plant. This way the flowering can continue with an enhanced grow of the buds.
