Week 2 - Vegetation | Candy Rain Auto Hello everyone, and welcome back to another update from the 12/12 From Seed adventure. Today we’re checking in on Candy Rain Auto, one of the single-plant folders in this project and a cultivar that has had a slightly different start compared to some of her sisters. For anyone joining the diary for the first time, this grow documents multiple Zamnesia cultivars grown side by side under a 12/12 From Seed approach. Most cultivars are represented by two phenotypes, but Candy Rain is one of the single-plant entries, making every observation particularly valuable as we follow her development from seed to harvest. Before diving into this week’s progress, it’s worth mentioning why Candy Rain currently appears a little smaller than many of the other plants in the room. The difference isn’t dramatic, but she is running a few days behind the more advanced phenotypes. In a project where growth is documented daily and plants are photographed constantly, even a small timing difference becomes very noticeable. A few extra days at this stage can make a surprisingly large visual difference between plants. Fortunately, what we’re seeing isn’t a problem—it’s simply a different starting pace. Throughout Week 2, Candy Rain continued establishing herself and showed steady, healthy development. The stem remains upright, the foliage displays a healthy green coloration, and the newest growth is emerging exactly as expected for a plant at this stage of life. While some of her sisters are already pushing further into vegetative development, Candy Rain is focusing on building a solid foundation first. Root development, early leaf expansion, and establishment inside the final container are currently the priorities, and she appears to be handling each of those tasks beautifully. One thing that makes this update particularly interesting is that Candy Rain is receiving the same feeding program as the rest of the room despite her slightly smaller size. The reasoning is simple. Managing multiple separate feeding schedules inside a large multi-cultivar project can quickly become complicated, and consistency often produces better results than constantly chasing individual adjustments. Rather than creating a completely separate nutrient regime, Candy Rain has been following the same balanced approach as her sisters while being monitored closely for any signs of stress. So far, she seems perfectly comfortable with that decision. Current nutrition consists of: • Plagron Terra Grow for vegetative development • Power Roots to encourage strong root establishment • Pure Zym to support a healthy substrate environment • Sugar Royal as part of the overall cultivation strategy throughout the cycle Despite being slightly younger developmentally, the plant continues responding positively to the feeding program. Leaf color remains healthy, growth remains active, and no obvious signs of nutrient excess are visible at this stage. One of the most important lessons in cultivation is understanding that plants don’t all develop according to the same timeline. Sometimes growers become concerned when comparing one plant to another, but comparison only tells part of the story. What matters most is whether the plant is moving forward. And Candy Rain is absolutely moving forward. Each day brings a little more leaf mass, a little more stem development, and a little more confidence. The foundation is being built, and that’s exactly what we want to see during these early stages. If anything, this slight delay makes her story even more interesting. Watching a plant catch up and develop its own rhythm is often one of the most rewarding parts of documenting a grow from beginning to end. For now, the plan remains simple: maintain stable environmental conditions, continue the current feeding program, monitor development closely, and allow Candy Rain to continue finding her pace naturally. Overall, Week 2 has been a positive and encouraging week. She may be one of the smaller plants in the room right now, but she is healthy, active, and steadily progressing in the right direction. And sometimes that’s exactly how great plants begin. Thank you to everyone following along, supporting the diary, sharing knowledge, and helping make this community such an incredible place to learn and grow together. A special thank you as always to Zamnesia for the genetics, Plagron for the nutrition, and to every grower documenting their journey alongside us. Until next week, growers love and happy growing everyone. 🌱💚

When buds are this heavy and this compact, trimming goes fast and smooth exactly the way I like it. As for bud size… I’d say ostrich egg level

Day 15 I decided to try LST on the Forgotten Cookies x Forum Stomper again. In retrospect it still might have been a little early, but she took it well. Day 17 It's still crazy to me how fast these things grew in the beginning. Leaves starting to curl up on the edges which I think was from wind burn. I might have adjusted the fan a bit in response but I think I was ultimately fine with them getting some wind. Did first LST on the Forum Stomper and a re-adjust for the FCxFS. I was really happy with how many bud sites I uncovered on the Forum Stomper. Already felt like my LST techniques were improving. Day 19 More LST adjustment for both. With how fast they were growing, I was adjusting the wires pretty much daily. Still just water and recharge up to this point. Day 20 36x20x62 tent enters the chat. Really happy with how well this fit into my closet. Fit right into the corner where the plants used to be (Week 1 has the first setup picture). AC Infinity T4, Genesis clip-on fan. Girls are doing great.

🌱 Animal Mints — Week 3 VEG Report 12/12 from seed | Vegetative phase ongoing General Overview Week 3 of vegetative growth closes with Animal Mints standing out for exceptional leaf detail, natural structure, and active branching behavior. Both plants are thriving, each expressing itself according to its own timeline, yet sharing the same healthy rhythm seen across the room. This is one of those cultivars where detail becomes the story. ⸻ Growth & Structure • Stage: Vegetative • Flowering signs: None confirmed • Pre-flower: Possible very early indication on one plant (not yet definitive) Plant A — with prior vegetative period • Veg history: ~15 days under 18h light • Node count: ~8 • Size: Significantly larger (as expected) • Branching: Strong and active • Leaf size: Large, dominant, highly detailed On this plant, light leaf bending / leaf tucking has begun. Large fan leaves are gently tucked or repositioned underneath the canopy to: • Improve light penetration • Encourage lower branch development • Balance apical dominance • Promote a more even structure This is not aggressive training — no topping, no tying, no stress. It’s a soft, observational approach, simply guiding leaves out of the way so the plant can express its natural branching potential. ⸻ Plant B — 12/12 from seed • Node count: ~4 • Size: Smaller, as expected • Branching: Surprisingly active for its size • Training: None Even without any intervention, lower branches on this plant are already reaching upward naturally, showing excellent hormonal balance and structural intent. ⸻ Leaf Expression & Detail Animal Mints truly shines in leaf morphology: • Extremely fine serration detail • Subtle curves along each leaf finger • Clean edges, no deformation • Deep, lush green coloration The level of detail is remarkable — almost sculptural — and clearly genetic rather than environmental stress–related. ⸻ Training Status (Clarified) • Leaf bending / tucking: • Applied only on the larger, vegged plant • Gentle, non-stressful • Focused on opening the canopy • No other training performed: • No topping • No LST • No defoliation The goal remains support, not control. ⸻ Veg vs 12/12 Comparison This folder offers a clear and valuable comparison: • The plant that received a veg period is larger and more developed • The plant run 12/12 from seed is smaller, but structurally similar • Both show strong natural branching Notably, the vegged plant is still not flowering, despite already spending three weeks under 12/12. This suggests the plant is still prioritizing structure and energy storage. ⸻ 📸 Photo Documentation This week includes studio-style photos, including images of the plants held close during documentation. One of the photos features the Plagron jacket, included as a natural thank-you for the nutrition program and gear used throughout the grow. ⸻ Environment — Room Conditions (Week 3) • Photoperiod: 12/12 from seed • Day temperature: ~26 °C • Night temperature: ~18 °C • Relative Humidity: 60–65% • VPD: In optimal vegetative range • Airflow: Gentle, constant, non-stressful • Solution temperature: ~21 °C • Substrate temperature: ~21 °C Environmental stability remains consistent across the room. ⸻ 💡 Lighting • PPFD: ~600–700 (plant-size dependent) • Plants growing naturally into the light • No stretch, no light stress ⸻ 💧 Watering & Nutrition • Watering method: Hand-watered • pH: 6.0 • EC: 1.0 Nutrient program: • Plagron Terra Grow • Power Roots • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal Foliar: • Vita Race • Used selectively and intentionally ⸻ 🔍 What to Expect / What Not to Expect (Next Week) What to expect: • Continued vegetative expansion • Stronger lower branch response on the vegged plant • Possible clearer pre-flower signals • Increased structural definition What not to expect (yet): • Full flowering • Explosive stretch • Need for aggressive training ⸻ Final Thoughts Animal Mints closes Week 3 as expressive, detailed, and naturally structured. Leaf morphology and autonomous branching are already setting the tone, while gentle leaf tucking is helping guide the canopy without disrupting the plant’s rhythm. No forcing. No shortcuts. Photography is part of the story — it’s how we share the fine textures, the glow, and the quiet details that words can’t always capture. I’ve also started experimenting with photo stacking — a technique where multiple images, each taken at a slightly different focus point, are layered together to create one perfectly sharp image from front to back. It’s not digital enhancement or AI; it’s pure photography — a way to reveal the plant’s beauty in microscopic depth, from trichome to petal. You’ll even see a few shots of "ghost me" capturing the shots — camera, lens, setup — because every grow deserves not just to be cultivated, but documented like art. So I’d like to welcome 👋👋 you all to my competition journey (well, probably — because shortly after I bought the seeds, it turned out there was no longer an option to join 😭😱). However, since the seeds were delivered straight to my door, even if I don’t end up being able to participate in the competition, I’ll simply run this grow the way I would have done for the contest.😊 So let’s start with the fact that the strain planted is Watermelon Punch Autoflower by Growers Choice. ( Why this strain? While talking with a friend on Discord, he told me he’d try this SH**T, and since there was a buy-one-get-two-seeds deal, I didn’t hesitate for a second — I said, LET'S DO IT ) . Both seeds cracked their shells and were placed into the soil so they can continue growing beautifully and healthily, ultimately producing a fruitful harvest. After just one day under a moist paper towel, the seeds were already ready to be planted — and that’s exactly what happened. Truly a very good seed stock. A photo after they emerge from the soil will be added in a few days, and then we’ll be able to move straight into a productive vegetative stage. Since social media activity will also partly count in the competition, I’d like to invite everyone to follow me on Instagram, comment on posts, like them, and engage! Let’s show how big our community is and that we can support each other in achieving any goals. Everyone who leaves something on my socials will be rewarded with a solid, big joint and I’ll return the favor for what they’ve done for me!😘😍 For the community! Love you all !💪👊

Recovery week. Last week everything went to hell this week everything is looking up. Squanch Queen is turning into my favorite one of the bunch. She is super resilient and bounced back quickly, the Skywalker and Quarter Pounder are both going to finish early due to all the stresses and stunting early on in the grow. Squanch Queen looks to be going 9 to 10 weeks inspite of all the issues. Definitely a good strain from Night Owl to pick up if your a beginner, much more forgiving. I definitely want to try the Skywalker again with a better setup. Ph runoff is looking much much better.

🌱 Week 3 | Purple Haze Photo | Folder 7A | Building the Foundation, One Leaf at a Time Welcome back to another chapter of Project Blue, where every Purple Haze phenotype receives its own dedicated GrowDiaries report. Although these plants all come from the same genetic line and are growing under identical conditions, each individual expresses its own personality, structure, and growth rhythm. That is exactly why these diaries exist. Some growers only document a room. I wanted to document every plant. Each report is completely self-contained, allowing anyone who discovers this diary to understand the entire project without needing to read the previous folders. Like every plant in Project Blue, Purple Haze 7A is being cultivated using my favourite 12/12 From Seed technique. From the moment she broke through the soil, she has lived under a 12-hour flowering photoperiod, encouraging compact growth, tight internodal spacing, and allowing each phenotype to reveal its natural characteristics while remaining perfectly manageable inside the grow room. Even though we’re only entering Week 3, this little lady has already shown remarkable progress. Looking back at the first photographs of the week compared with the final ones, the transformation is easy to appreciate. She began the week looking modest and compact, but by the end she had developed into a beautifully structured young plant with noticeably stronger branching and a much fuller canopy. Sometimes the biggest progress isn’t measured in height—it’s measured in structure. ⸻ 🌡️ Week 3 Growing Environment Consistency remains one of the most important ingredients in every successful grow. Throughout the week the environment remained stable: • 🌡️ Day Temperature: 27°C • 🌙 Night Temperature: 25°C • 💧 Relative Humidity: 55% • 🌱 Root Zone Temperature: 21°C • 🚰 Nutrient Solution Temperature: 20°C • ⚖️ pH: 6.0 • ⚡ EC: 1.3 • 🌬️ CO₂: approximately 666 ppm • 💡 Photoperiod: 12 Hours ON / 12 Hours OFF • ☀️ Average PPFD: 600–700 Stable environmental conditions allow the plants to dedicate their energy to growth instead of constantly adapting to fluctuating temperatures or humidity levels. Healthy roots, consistent transpiration, and balanced metabolism all begin with a stable room. ⸻ 🌿 Feeding Schedule Purple Haze 7A continues receiving the complete Plagron Terra vegetative program: • Terra Grow — 1.8 ml/L • Power Roots — 1 ml/L • Pure Zym — 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal — 1 ml/L At this stage I still prefer a conservative feeding strategy. Rather than pushing maximum growth, my objective is to build a healthy root system, strengthen the stems, and encourage vigorous but controlled vegetative development before flowering accelerates naturally. A healthy plant never needs to be rushed. ⸻ 🍃 Leaf Tucking Before Leaf Cutting One of the biggest changes throughout this week wasn’t caused by nutrients or lighting—it came from simple canopy management. Rather than removing fan leaves, I continued practicing leaf tucking, gently repositioning the larger leaves beneath developing branches whenever possible. This simple technique allows light to reach lower growth sites without sacrificing the plant’s solar panels. Those fan leaves are producing valuable energy every hour the lights are on, so if they can be moved instead of removed, the plant keeps all of that photosynthetic power while the lower branches receive the light they need to grow. It’s a small adjustment that often produces surprisingly big results over time. ⸻ 🌱 Gentle Low Stress Training As the week progressed, Purple Haze 7A also became an excellent candidate for some very gentle Low Stress Training (LST). Rather than forcing the plant into shape, the objective is simply to guide her natural growth. By carefully opening the canopy and encouraging the developing side branches to receive equal exposure to the light, we’re already beginning to create a much more balanced structure for flowering. The difference between the beginning and end of the week is remarkable. Instead of one dominant growing tip, multiple future flowering sites are now waking up and preparing to compete for the canopy. Every day she becomes a little more symmetrical. Every day the structure becomes stronger. And every day she looks a little more prepared for what’s coming next. ⸻ 🌿 A Compact Plant With Big Potential Purple Haze 7A may still be one of the smaller plants in the room, but she has something I always appreciate—balance. Her internodal spacing remains tight. The stem is thickening nicely. The foliage displays a rich, healthy green colour. New growth is vibrant and full of energy, while the secondary branches continue to develop steadily beneath the canopy. She’s not trying to become the biggest plant. She’s quietly becoming one of the best-built. Very often, those are the plants that surprise you the most once flowering begins. ⸻ 🔭 Looking Ahead With another successful week behind her, Purple Haze 7A is entering the next stage with an increasingly well-organized structure and excellent overall health. The combination of stable environmental conditions, gentle LST, strategic leaf tucking, and balanced nutrition is beginning to pay dividends. Every adjustment this week has been made with one goal in mind: creating an even canopy that will maximize light distribution once flowering starts to accelerate. She’s still a compact young lady—but she’s no longer a tiny seedling. She’s becoming a very promising phenotype. Growers Love ad I can’t wait to see what she has planned for the weeks ahead.

well, my sativa disappoints me greatly, it is not clear for what reason the flowering stage passes so slowly, the lamp that was at the whole stage with it is 120w phyto LED. At the initial stage, the trunk grew very steeply and the branches became very large, hard and very strong, but but when the color stage came, the speed dropped significantly, in general, the plant does not smell much, the smell resembles dill)) I think she will have to wait another couple of weeks for the final finish
