Hey! Welcome to week 8! Karen is mid way through her flowering stretch. Please check back to last week as I update daily so the week is now complete. I count about 20 colas now. Day 51: Have reconfigured the tent, see video. Karen is now 36cm and still stretching. Karen has more light now. Smell is still there hits you when you open the tent. Fertigated 2l. Day 52: Height: 39cm. Karen's scent is heavenly. I have reconfigured again and installed some upgrades. Better reflector. Much bigger carbon filter. Increased airflow. Better config. More efficient pot layout. Karen is lovely. I am grateful to her and for her, so I wrote her a little poem, I hope she liked it. "Karen! Oh Karen! The phoenix of flowers, Three lowly weeks she struggled in vain, Shadowed and starved for five hundred hours, He slowly wept to witness her pain. Karen! Oh Karen! I P-H'd your showers, and in the fourth week you started to gain, Hallowed and hard you survived as you cowered, I thought you meek, I was wrong once again. Karen! Oh Karen! Forgave me my howlers. She set a pace, a pace she maintained, Now shes a girl at the peak of her powers, And so I'm a geek, with buds on the brain." Day 53: Approx 48h into a simulated dry spell. Alright I think it is time for Karen to get her first MAJOR defoliation. I will update shortly with photos and info. I will also be doing some gentle LST to separate the colas a bit. Day 53.5: Defoliation and LST. Finally got chance to photograph that bunda. Enjoy! Day 53.75: Bit of a fail. Messed up the timer and the lights ended up being off for about 3 or 4 hours. Because I was cooling the room (open window) to keep temperature in the tent down, without any light the temperatures absolutely plummeted as it is sub-zero outside. By the time I realised and turned the lights on, the temp in the main tent had dropped to 14 degrees celsius. Whoops! How is that for mistreating your girl? Defoliated about 80% of her leaves, 4 nodes, significant LST, then stuck her in the cold and dark for 1/6 of a day. Not to mention she is now almost 3 days into a "dry spell". There do not seem to be ill effects, and Karen has already begun to respond to the LST; all the colas that had been changed in angle are now upright again. The dry spell I keep mentioning, there is a method behind my madness, I have spotted one or two small flies and I think they may be fungus gnats. I am starting to suspect that the 2nd seedling in the Purple OG Punch Auto grow was actually beheaded by fungus gnat larvae. So I am drying out the mediums as much as I dare. I am closely monitoring the plants, so far the only one I have had to break the drought for is Enigma; all the girls in big pots haven't even noticed it's dry yet. How far am I going to push it? Well I will judge it on a plant by plant basis, but quite honestly I am hoping to see physical signs of thirst before I breakdrought. Of all the plants the two I think will respond most strongly to this will be Karen and Bertha, because of where they are. Karen here is actually probably 4 weeks into flowering rather than two, so about now is a good time to give her a little hydration stress. I do not think I will push it past 5 days, as RH is 34%. By now all the plants will be compensating for the lack of moisture and the high temperatures and low humidity. They will be taking more and more moisture out of the coco, and as the coco dries further and further down, those plants that have space will start desperately growing roots to find moisture. Mark my words, 24 hours after I end this drought, every plant in the tent will throw out crazy growth. Day 54: Ended drought and fertigated 6l, no run off, I will re-fertigate tomorrow. Karen is still stretching her height post LST is now 37cm. The two tallest colas seem to have stopped but the other colas are still stretching. Day 55: Alright so it has been 5 hours since lights on, and Karen is looking in good shape, all her drooping leaves have perked back up and she has added quite a bit of foliar growth. The colas are all still rising, except perhaps the two tallest. This girl is absolutely loaded with pistils, I'm starting to see trichomes on the sugar leaves, but trich production hasn't started in earnest yet. She has a least 20 colas, and 6 of them are thicker/taller than the primary cola at her tip. Every one of her nodes has reinforced itself with a bulbous growth and these cola branches are swelling rapidly. I am increasingly of the opinion that, all being well, this girl is going to surprise us all with her yield. My first grow, which was just mucking about really, I got 60-70g of the two main plants, and they were just bare sticks with 2 colas. Although her height is less than theirs was, 2/3 of their height was bare stick... whereas every mm of her is befoliaged and living. So in terms of the height of the actual cola I think they were about comparable in usable space on a per cola basis. The main difference being that Karen has 20+ colas whereas they had 2 primary and 2 lower. I know that it is probably unrealistic to expect more than 70g from a single auto grown indoors. Nevertheless my gut tells me this baby could achieve at least 100g, perhaps as much as 150g. The next few weeks will determine that, but given where we were in week 3 I will be grateful for any yield of quality bud. I have dropped the lights down to 18/6 from 'tonight' onwards. I really have no idea how long we have left for Karen. According the the "brochure" she flowers for 7-8 weeks, with a total crop time of 9 weeks. The problem is I don't know what a total crop time is? Does that mean from seed to finish? If so Karen is clearly not going to be anywhere near that timescale.I am going to go ahead an assume that, for my plant anyway, the first 4 weeks were veg weeks. I think it is fair to count week 5 and 6 as flowering because pistils were popping out very early in week 5 if not before. So that makes this week four of flowering. I am going to assume 8 weeks rather than 7, so I think we have another 4 full weeks give or take a week. On that basis I am expect harvest week to be around week 12 or so. I am not fixed on this though, I am determined not to harvest this girl early. Day 55: Photos taken 00:00 9/3/23 Strong 24h of veg growth as predicted. Day 56: Existing leaves continue to swell. Stretch appears to be slowing. I've taken so many media this week that I cannot scroll down far enough to select a recent thumbnail. Probably Karen's biggest week in terms of changes. She is looking like she is going to impress. Height 39cm.

Esta semana fue generalmente bien, salvo por los intentos de supercropping (primer intento) en 5 apicales de los cuales 3 de ellos estan bien, me imagino el supercropping funciono bien, salvo en la de la Royal Gorilla que siento que la doble mucho que casi se rompe, pero no le paso nada menos mal jajaja. 30.07. Blue Sunset Sherbet Day 92# Yesterday was the end of the thirteenth week for the plant. She progressed poorly, almost not at all, she must have spent 5 of the last 7 days lying in the grass, and she was more stressed than not..I took off a lot of her yellow leaves...tomorrow I will dig the pot in the ground and if I don't know if it is smart...yesterday she entered the preflower and received almost a double dose of tnt and a full dose of cal-mag, the next two waterings are just clean water to eat all that from the ground and I'm moving with the bloom and boost she wouldn't stretch too much and in order for the flowers to develop nicely... I'm sure she has enough nitrogen to stretch it, if she lacks it, let her extract it from the leaves and if she asked for nitrogen a couple of times in addition to regular feeding, that's why I increased her dose by this amount, and that she has just enough for stretching, not too much… The last 3-4 days the temperatures are much more normal, except that overnight it gets a little colder, up to 14 c Stay High and Keep Growing!!!

For this grow I kept my setup a lot simpler than last year. Going with Jack 47 because, well, reviews are awesome and we've had success with Sweet Seeds germinating well. From the pics and videos you can see I've got a simple bucket for the plant with no air stone, pump, or other shit in the plant bucket. All that is in the reservoir. Should make it easier to clean, flush, etc. I'll be able to just pop the lid off (with plant in the net) and put it on a clean bucket with pH balanced water while I clean the rest of the system, then hook it right back up. I also over-designed so I could add a second grow bucket if I want. Don't have space for that at the moment but non-loadbearing walls are easy to move, right? Using General Hydroponics for nutrients and Hydroguard for good measure. Knock wood I'm not jinxing things by posting before I have seedlings.

2/20: Both pots are light and are looking droopy. Time for first day of feeding nutrients. I used 1tbsp unsulphured molasses mixed into a half strength mix of General Organics GO Box nutrients, following the first week of flower instructions. 2/21: Both plants are looking great this morning. Amnesia seemed to have grown more overnight! I'll need to watch the timelapse to see what happened. My lights are at about 80% at 12 inches above the plants. I'm going to increase it to 12 inches above the tallest cola. 2/22: May turn both lights to 100% soon, as the timelapse of the night didn't show much growth or movement. Otherwise looking good. 2/24: Woke up to Amnesia's lower leaves turning yellow, brown, and crunchy. Google research thinks its a PK deficiency, the last two letters if the N-P-K nutrient list. Discord users also believed it was a PK deficiency on their own accord. I may be able to remedy this by upping my main Biothrive Bloom to full strength to increase those nutrient numbers, and feeding her now. She's growing fast, I could see why she'd be hungry again after 4 days. Her pot wasn't quite all the way light before bed though. After today's feeding I'll go down to 3/4 strength on the Bloom for the next feeding. EDIT: After lifting Amnesias pot, she definitely is ready for feeding/watering. Probably starved a bit overnight in the hot tent. Later at night, Trainwreck began to droop, so I mixed up a half strength of nutrients and fed her a gallon over a half hour.

Nach einer Woche auf 12/12 zeigt sie nur vereinzelte weiße Härchen.Momentan ist die luftfeuchte im zelt sehr hoch,ungefähr bei 80 Prozent.Glücklicherweise ist die Blütephase erst am anfang.Ich habe sie weiter heruntergebunden,damit die unteren Triebe mehr licht abbekommen.

OG Kush, the name alone brings up images of something totally chill. But this little guy isn't just about having a cool name, he's got serious growing potential. From the moment that first shoot broke through the soil, I knew this seedling was something special. The leaves are a perfect shade of dark green, and they've got that signature OG thickness. I'm excited to see how this one develops – it's gonna be a fun journey watching OG grow into a big, beautiful plant!

They look pretty good again. Two of them are smaller and less advanced cause they got stress due to some burnt leaves and stress techniques, I hope they recover and start growing and fattening again I'm watering twice a week, once with nutrients and once without, just ph regulated plain water Very happy! No plagues or anything so far...

1/17 - Entered Week 3 Today, Everything is going good so far. Just have been watering with fish tank water only. I have been adjusting plant ties so the light penetrates lower branches, in hopes of more tops. I have also been leaf tucking and adjusting lower branches over bigger leaves. #1 is growing at a pretty fast pace, faster then others, and is showing signs of multiple branches coming to top, #2 is doing good, I have been trying to get more light to lower branches, hopefully in the next few days will see progress, but overall it is growing at a good rate. #3 is doing alright, its growing at an okay pace, I started LST on it yesterday and have noticed branches emerging. #4 is still quite small, but growing at an alright rate, when it's a little taller will attempt LST. Overall, everything is going great! 1/18 - Yesterday I discovered white specks on leaves, did some research, one thing I found that could've been issue was my humidifier running tap water, I immediately cleaned out humidifier and filled with distilled water. After doing that did further inspection I saw a gnat in soil, only seen one so I killed him, turned off lights and fans, sprayed neem oil spray on soil and over plants very lightly, turned on fans , let dry for about 15mins and turned light back on. I did some research on neem oil and what I understood is that it's okay to use in veg but not quite flowering. Hoping this will be the last time using it, going to get sticky traps for future. Going to keep an eye on white specs and make sure they don't get worse, some wiped off but others didn't. #1 is starting to show pistil hairs. Everything still the same, added a very small amount of calmag to fish tank water in jug. 1/19 - Not to much to update , just have been filling humidifier, and watering. Tent is staying 80 degrees and 70% humidity VPD around .9-1. The white specks on leaves aren't going anywhere, but I don't notice any additional specks. 1/20 - Mid-day - Last night around midnight I started LST with #4, her lower branches looked like they had some growth so hopefully we get some good results with it. I've been adjusting canopy, bringing branches to open spots. Watered full pot today with just fish tank water, pot was a bit dry. Ordered Branch benders and Trellis net last night hopefully it comes just in time. 1/21 - Received Trellis net today, Going to attempt SCROG, This will be my first time attempting will see what the results will be and if it's helpful, If you have any tips or suggestions let me know. I put around 4inches above canopy's, so hopefully in a few days will get to toggle with branches. Tomorrow, I have adjustable, and 90 degree branch benders coming in, will be testing those out also. Everything is going smoothly so far. Even though they are on the cheaper end, they still seem to get the job done. Plants haven't met Trellis net yet, but hopefully in a few days #1 will start getting ready to train on SCROG. I'm very excited for week 4 and really can't wait for what it's going to bring. Also, while writing this, I did have some sad news, While attempting to LST a smaller branch, I accidently got to rough, and it broke off, my first lesson. Since then, I've been being a lot more careful with these girls knowing they are about to enter flower. Hey everyone 😀. On flowering day 59 both came into the darkroom and on flowering day 61 both were harvested :-). Both were very easy to trim 👍. Both of them already smell very tasty but more on the last update because this is only the short intermediate update :-). The trimmed buds were laid out on nets so that they can now dry at 62% humidity for 8-14 days before fermenting with 62% boveda packs in the jars :-). Satisfied. However one of my plants is showing signs of either dying or it is dead. Hanging over and the leaves haven’t got as big as tho other plants.

Die "Eltern" sind Jacky White x Ruderalis, die "Großeltern" sind Jack Herer und White Widow. Sie ist dadurch eine 75% Sativa mit zitronig-fruchtigen Aromen, genau mein Ding. Das ist für mich der Ansporn, eine möglichst genaue Beschreibung des Growverlaufs aufzuzeichnen.
