Here we are at Day 2 of Week 6 of flowering. Temps and humidity are practically unchanged from last week. I’ve made peace with the fact that I won’t get intense aromas due to the high nighttime temperatures, and I’ll definitely lose some yield and potency. But I don’t care—I knew what I was getting into and the risks involved. Last watering, I reduced the dose of Bioflores and Bioboost, cut out Bud Factor X and Bloombastic, and introduced Rokzbastic at low doses (trying not to repeat the Bloombastic mistake—I’ll keep doses low and alternate applications). The three waterings before this were plain water with Cannazym and a minimal dose of Bioflores, slightly heavier, to flush the medium a bit (given the burnt tips). The plants aren’t stretching anymore (maybe except one Californian Gold). I adjusted the ties to maximize light penetration. The buds aren’t huge or super dense, but they’re well-coated in resin—good enough for my expectations. Hoping to see them bulk up over the next 2 weeks. The Californian Golds give off the strongest scent—super sweet—followed by the Sensi Stars. The "dwarf" Mendocino Skunk has the most foliage and the least smell, but it’s looking nice and chunky. Fingers crossed it delivers too. The biggest plant is a Californian Gold: wide, tall, and packed with flowers. Really beautiful. By the end of Week 7, I’ll check trichomes closely to monitor ripeness. In theory, the Sensi Stars should finish sooner, but given their "irregular" development, I’ve read they might need an extra week. The largest Californian Gold is also the least mature and will probably be the last one chopped (unless it pulls off an unexpected sprint these next two weeks). Catch you later, folks. Stay tuned. Peace.

Well, this is my end for now. I'm so happy as this has been my first grow, don't pay a lot of attention on the numbers, i don't have a weighing machine so i don't know what are the exact numbers, anyway i tried to aproximate them. Maybe if you can help me with an aproximate i would apreciate it! I've got a total of 6 complete 750cc Jar and 3/4 from the 7th one. You have more experience than me an maybe can correct me . Those numbers correspond to all the weight that i've got from 4 plants, as you can see there is a strange plant there, that was a mutant one that i was growing with the moby dick, idk what strain is, so I won't do any report of that, just posted the pictures because i liked them. As you can see all my grow was super cheap, I didn't used special lights or special nutrients, i never measured the ph and the EC but thos things paid me a lot, for the next grows I know that get the right measures is the best for growing cannabis, control they way they feed is essential. As I said before, i made a lot of mistakes that make that the plants didn't become XXL they wer like 60-80cm i just let them grow, i didn't use LST or something like that, just defoliate some times the yellow leafs. I want to say thank you to all the people that helped me during the grow, i think that my plants wouldn't made it if you didn't help me, thank you so much! Thanks to the growdiaries community! I just tried a little from the production and it was fantastic, i think that all the love that i have putted on the grow was returned on that smoke. I enjoyed a lot that woody taste. It's super nice. Will edit maybe in 2 months after a good cure is done.

Started the journey with a Mephisto's wedding, and Fantasmo express. Hoping the difference in heights is not too drastic. Plan is to press these plants once harvested. For now, they are little, but barring not having a diffuser for the photo e app, I trust that the environment is on the right track. Finally reaching a year of growing with this one so I'ma focus on the root zone. That's where I usually fall short, but not these. The Meph lab will create monsters after Halloween!

~ Update ~ Hello my friends, welcome back to another weekly update. I have a few issues going on so I’ll put those below in the IPN. This has been a good week so far, the girls are very happy, except the bazar mazar… Other than that it’s exciting that I’m pretty much at the halfway point :) Anyways, enjoy the update and let me know what you think in the comments, I always appreciate feedback ~ Individual Progress Notes ~ [CBD] Notes: This is the healthiest of the bunch, nice rich green leaves and fluffy buds. I’m surprised the this little mutant is doing so well. As I said in the vlog GCS got back to me last week, I’ll keep them up to date with my grow so they know what’s going on with this girl. [Mazar] Notes: Burn! I’m noticing a lot of small but noticeable spots, leaf chattering, and slight yellowing at the tip of the leaves. I feel like I should just avoid feeding this girl though I’m not sure if that will help the situation. If you guys can take a look at this girl I’d really appreciate it :) Edit: I found out thanks to my friends here on GD that I burned my Bazar Mazar :( So time for water which I might only give her water and flower fuel then flush till harvest (might be my cleanest tasting and smelling afterwards). It's hard to feed 4 different metabolisms every watering, but hey I'm learning :) [Super Silver Haze] Notes: The beast of the grow! What a lovely plant. Even though this girl got really hungry and started cannibalizing the lower leaves her buds are massive! I’m impressed with the total growth of this beast. Honestly, I’m cheering this girl on, might be my favorite (don’t tell the others). [White Widow] Notes: More like purple widow, this dense girl is showing her dark side and I like it. I planned on the purpling, still surprising to see all this purple though. I like purple buds but I don’t want this (or any of the girls) getting shocked by the cold. Hoping the I can get a few more pieces of gear to help out the next grow. ~ Final Thoughts ~ What a week, some of the girls are rocking and the Mazar, not so much :) It’s a learning experience that will take some time for me to learn how to balance all (most) of the variables. Thank you guys so much for all the love and support, I always appreciate it :) Happy holidays and good grow’n fam, much love Meus <3

10/31 - Harvested the short fattie (Halle Berry)..washed and hung to dry. 11/14 - Harvested the bushy one along with several other plants. This is the second time I've grown this strain, and had pretty much the same results. Excellent weed, but not a lot of it. Neither plant gave me any trouble. The short fat one came in pretty heavy considering she had no lower branching at all. Both plants produced very greasy, very pungent bud, covered in trichomes. The bushier one had no training and produced more, but wasn't as fat. I pressed some of it for the rosin, and it's delish. Very terpy.👍 Dry weights: A - 52g B - 71g Final thoughts: Will probably grow it again because it's my wife's favorite flavor, but I'd refer to find a strain that produces the same flavors but much heavier yields. Potency: 7/10 Yield: 5/10 Flavor: 8/10 Aroma: 9/10 Bag-appeal: 8/10 Bud Density: 7/10

The main purpose of chlorophyll is to capture photons of energy. When growth is no longer a priority for a plant in nature, it will naturally sink its "no longer needed" nitrogen and switch pigments to carotene and anthocyanin, which are better-suited pigments for environmental protection rather than capturing photons (growth). This is because of all nutrients used by a plant, nitrogen in its nitrate form is highly stable and required for the rigours of electron capture, ammoniacal nitrogen readily evaporates into the air during cure/dry. The ripening stage is no longer about growth, but the main priority is protecting trichomes and opening up the oxidative capacity of the plant so it can focus 100% of filling those trichomes. Nitrogen in its elemental nitrate form is no longer required during ripening to the same degree as it was; the vast majority of growth is over. Understanding when to shift a plant's focus from rapid growth to maturation is the key to maximizing the trichome quality and terpene profile of the final product. That is the single most important decision you will make during a grow in terms of dictating smoothness, taste, and smell, I have found from my limited years of dedicated and driven study into the matter. Synthetic nutrients maintain a near full nitrate ratio comparable to ammoniacal nitrogen, whereas organic nutrients maintain a supply of ammoniacal and convert only to nitrate what is needed. This is far more beneficial for organic growers when it comes to smoke smoothness, as the higher levels of ammoniacal nitrogen are far easier to dispose/convert than nitrates come harvest, cure/dry with far more efficient margins held within leaf/bud when it comes to conversion to aminos. A good dry and cure can go a long way to a quality smooth smoke, but without a proper senescence sequence or triggered autophagic sink of nitrogen, then you will be asking far more than can be expected from a dry/cure. It's one thing to sink the last 5-10% and convert the last drips to amino acids during the dry and cure, but leaving the plant fully charged with nitrogen in the form of nitrate is simply not going to taste good, no matter how much smoke you blow up your own ass or how long you have been growing. Means nothing. Smoke quality relies on pre-harvest physiology, not just the dry and cure! The dry and cure cannot fix poor pre-harvest metabolic states. A high-quality, smooth smoke requires correct signalling before harvest. While a proper dry and cure can gently soften the edges and convert the last 5-10% of sugars into amino acids, it fundamentally cannot perform magic on a fully fertilised plant. You cannot oxidise stable nitrates (+5 charge) into a smoother state during drying. Ultimately, accept it's going to be a heavy smoke and be grateful, onwards upwards! The way in which ammoniacal nitrogen reacts to carbon sugars is critical in how it acts during oxidation and is responsible for oxidizing leftover sugars that can make the buds smoke harshly. Limited ammoniacal equals limited oxidation of excess carbons held within tissues. Just so you know, it's not an anecdotal rule that's unresolved and unsubstantiated. It's called the Maillard reaction. Signal triggers and stressors. Normally, you can only use 10-30% ammoniacal nitrogen, but as harvest closes, it is beneficial to increase this ratio 50% of ammoniacal as it assists in steering the plant towards maturation. Rather than running 50% ammoniacal nitrogen continuously until harvest, use it in short, targeted flushes/additions (e.g., 7 days) to slow internode elongation and hasten maturity. Use alongside forced larger "dry backs" (allowing the root zone to dry out significantly between watering events). Raising the Electrical Conductivity EC of the medium to create mild osmotic stress. Widening the day-to-night temperature difference and increasing the vapour pressure deficit VPD. How would you like your cola's sir? Arm length, please, no gaps with trichomes as thick as snow.

Week 2 Flower – Roller Coster Haze (Zamnesia Seeds) Full Bloom Ahead The girls aren’t just entering flower — they’ve rocketed into it. From what seemed like a short transition, they’ve gone full throttle: pistils shooting, buds forming, leaves praying, and roots bursting through the medium. ⸻ Growth Update – No Pre-Flower, Just Boom This week marked an unusually fast shift: • Visible Pistils Everywhere – no gradual pre-flower here; instant bloom mode. • Budlets Forming – early structures already showing stacking tendencies. • Stems & Roots – while not the thickest stalks, the root zone is bursting with vitality, visibly surfacing in some areas of the soil. • Canopy Size – they’ve outgrown the closet! Photos this week stay inside the tent, it’s just not safe to move these ladies anymore. ⸻ Irrigation Upgrade – Semi-Auto in Motion With the room expanding and multiple genetics running, it’s time to make watering smarter: • Semi-Automatic Irrigation Installed – currently set up to water 8 plants. • Not Fully Automated Yet – still manually monitoring and hand-watering other genetics in the room. • The goal is precision without full delegation — a hybrid system offering consistency + control. This is how smart growers scale: one foot in tech, one foot in the soil. 🌱 ⸻ Red Spectrum Timing – Emerson Effect in Action Let’s dive into light science, because this week, you’ve implemented something most growers don’t even think about: ☀️ What is the Emerson Effect? Discovered by Robert Emerson in the 1950s, the Emerson Effect is the phenomenon where plants photosynthesize more efficiently when exposed to both red (660nm) and far-red (730nm) light simultaneously. Even better? Far-red at the start and end of the day manipulates the plant’s internal clock, promoting faster flowering and shorter day-length response. 🔴 Your Implementation: • 15 minutes of red/far-red spectrum • Before lights-on (simulating dawn) • After lights-off (simulating dusk) This technique: • Promotes faster flowering initiation • Enhances flower site expression • Helps with sleep/wake cycle regulation Well played — this is next-level light manipulation. 🌕 ⸻ AC Implementation – Heat Down, VPD Back in Range The much-needed air conditioner has arrived, and it’s already proving itself: • Old Temps: ~31°C • New Temps: 28.8°C • Humidity: 66.6% • VPD: 1.33 kPa (much more ideal for flower initiation) While it’s still a warm tent, the VPD is now in the sweet spot, allowing for strong transpiration, nutrient uptake, and healthy gas exchange. The girls are clearly responding beautifully. ⸻ Nutrient Addition – Plagron Sugar Royal This week we’ve added Plagron Sugar Royal at 1ml/L to our Aptus regimen. What is Sugar Royal? Despite the name, it contains no actual sugar. Instead, it includes: • Amino acids – which help the plant produce more chlorophyll and essential oils • Biostimulants – supporting stress resistance, enzyme activity, and resin production Why now? In early flower, Sugar Royal: • Promotes floral aroma expression • Helps boost terpene synthesis • Supports the plant’s transition from vegetative to reproductive growth It’s a perfect complement to your Aptus Core Line, which continues to include: • Regulator – 0.25 ml/L • CalMag Boost – 0.25 ml/L • All-in-One Liquid – 1 ml/L • Top Booster – 0.2 ml/L • Now: Plagron Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L ⸻ Looking Ahead – Stretching Toward the Sky With such aggressive early flowering and the canopy rapidly expanding, it’s hard to say if you’ll be able to move them for next week’s photo shoot, and that’s okay. If we’ve learned one thing from this strain, it’s that she moves at her own thrilling pace. Expect: • Continued vertical stretch (still likely to gain 30-50% more height) • Strong bud stacking at internodes • Early terpene and trichome formation in the next 7–10 days Your setup is dialed. Your environment is stabilizing. And your knowledge is putting these girls in the best hands possible. ⸻ 🌱 Week 2 Flower Summary – Roller Coster Rises 📸 Stay Tuned, Stay Rooted • Height: ~50–55 cm • PPFD: ~760 µmol/m²/s • Temperature: 28.8°C • Humidity: 66.6% • VPD: 1.33 kPa • Light Cycle: 11/13 (with 15 minutes red/far-red at lights on/off) • Nutrients:   – Aptus Regulator (0.25 ml/L)   – CalMag Boost (0.25 ml/L)   – All-in-One Liquid (1 ml/L)   – Top Booster (0.2 ml/L)   – Plagron Sugar Royal (1 ml/L) • Photos: Taken inside the tent (plants too large to move) From this point forward, the buds will fatten, aromas will intensify, and your tent will become a living painting of sativa energy. Next week might be wild — whether or not we get outside shots, the story will be worth sharing. ⸻ Let’s keep the momentum going, and let’s keep making GrowDiaries and the community a space where we learn, laugh, and bloom together. Phew! She's growing with insane vigor!! She was watered with a 2.5 gallon dosage of de-chlorinated tap water today! The previous 1.5 Gallon dosage was "only"(lol) lasting for 3 days before becoming 90% dry, so I've gone up to max dosage! 2.5 Gallons caused 15% of that water to run-off, out of the bottom of the pot. She will likely dry to 90% again, and be ready for another dosage in 5 days! I'm extremely excited to defoliate her, she's testing my patients! :)
