Update from last week that I forgot: I gave her a final feed at 75%... WEEK 25 DAY 1 ... omg... 😂😂😂 It really took me half a year to finish this one... unbelievable... 😅 Well, so far I'm still super happy. Everything seems to go just fine but I'll never do this again..haha.. (vegging under a 50W bulb xD)... Soooo... looking at the trichs, I think the harvest window has just opened. There's still a lot of clear but the cloudy ones are starting to come and there's already a little amber on the leaves. I suppose I'm really close to harvest now. I'll be flushing her next time for sure. First, I'll feed her a low nutrient solution, maybe around 25% and half of the usual water quantity because I'm not that sure about when she really finishes so she dries out more quickly. Next, I'll use Grotek Final Flush right before I'll chop her down. I don't want to use this right away because last time my plants were dying a bit too fast so.. not to be repeated ;) Getting impatient now. Hopefully it will be a White Christmas...haha! DAY 2 Gave her one last feed at 25%. Poured only half of the usual water quantity. Left the BloomComplex totally aside because she seems like she's doing a little 'clawing'. Maybe there's too much Nitrogene? Trichs are beginning to get cloudy, with a little amber in between. I'll flush her with plain ph'd water tomorrow probably or should I wait some more days? What do you think? I'm never sure when the time is right... :/ DAY 3 I just took some more pictures with a macro lens attached to my iPhone. Seems like the buds in the middle do have way more amber than the other ones around which have swollen more compared to the ones in the middle but have less amber. The last days, I didn't check the ones in the middle so I changed my mind. I just flushed her with Grotek Final Flush. I'll wait for some hours for the solution to break down the salts and then I'll flush again to get rid of the flushing solution. I'm also gonna switch the timetable to 8/16. (16 hours of dark) and I'll drop the temperatures some 2 more degrees.

OVERALL: ~ Very happy with the grow, I really dialled everything in well this run. ~ She grew super fast, I put it down to the constant oxygenation of the rootzone along with consistent and constantly optimized light DLI and leaf to air temp variance. The extra Co2 helped push the plant to its limit in terms of heat, allowing it to push its hardest. ~ The lack of HST and Defoliation I feel let it finish faster due to lack of stress and stunting. The faster finishing time along with the big yield and efficient MarsHydro light, it hugely reduced my electricity costs per gram and freed up space much sooner for the next plant. ~ Turned into a very dense bush of buds, there is even smokable dense buds at the base of the plant due to the under canopy lighting (Not as dense as top canopy buds but still decent) ~ Ran a thin line between stressing the plant and letting it flourish. The buds came out big and very dense, also it's hard to see on camera but they're very frosty too (Prob from UVB) YIELD: ~ 145g (dry) in just 9 weeks from seed. ~ 753g (Wet) ~ 0.91g/watt GENETICS: ~ MSNL - Gorilla Glue Auto ~ my favorite strain, as you can tell by my username! STRAIN REVIEW: ~ Heavy hitter, like an indica but has some of that "feel it in your face" sensation of a strong sativa. Not as heavy or as strong as other GG#4's I have smoked, which would make me question the genetics used to produce the auto version. I will wait till after a cure and judge it again. TRAINING: ~ No defoliation or HST (Bar last week for pics) ~ A little LST and leaf tucking but largely just left the plant alone to do its thing. I felt chopping healthy parts off the plant would slow the plant down and leave it with less chlorophyll to photosynthesize the light. ~ I did prune by lightly plucking dead leaves away, when the plant was ready to let them go easily. DRYING ~ 20/21'C 50% RH with air circulation. ~ Homemade Drybox made using: 2 x Bankers Boxes ~ 2 x USB Desk Fans ~ 1 x Carbon Filter ~ 6 x Clothes Hangers UPDATE: Day 5 after Harvest: ~ Fast dried some small batches, as we couldn't wait to sample. ~ Chopped off branches as some are down to 12% moisture whilst bigger buds are up at 18%. Moving to paper bag for couple of days to even moisture out then transferring to jars CURING: ~Curing in jars 3/4 full. ~ Dark closet/18'C/50% RH ~ Jars burped once Hygro passes 65% and sealed when it drops to 58%. ~ Stabilised it at 62% and after 2 weeks I'll drop it some more and stabilise it at 58% to bring out more of the flavour. ~Sitting in jars with Boveda 62% at this stage. ~ Already tastes and feels great. On hand for heavier use (Once every 3 days before lights out for 15 days) in the case of an outbreak (No outbreaks yet, due to aforementioned preventative measures)

WEEK 17-23 March. She's really too narrow now, I'm going to transfer her in a larger space very soon. In the meantimeI'm continuing with all the techniques to make her stay down.

Took her down at day 94 in her 14th week. I did notice budswelling and density increasing in this final week. She was exposed to heat wave temperatures above 95f degrees in the greenhouse, yet took it well. I just had to water heavier than normal and at a daily rate....a rate of about 1/2 a gallon a day. She was flushed for 2 weeks using only TPS signal, ph water, and unsulfered molasses. She smells earthy, bold, and sweet....like a bold caramel latte. As soon as the leaves started fading i figured it was time for the chop. Next week (15) will be the actual harvest info, as she is in drying now and weights cannot be supplied at the moment.

Starting off week 2 strong. The Patients are responding well. Started the week off 750ml water per Patient. Day 19- Patient. 1 and 2 look strong and 3 is a week behind. It has rust spots on 2 leaves looks like from standing water. The plants look healthy adjusted the temp to 79 and raised the humidity to 66% The leaves felt a lil dry. Gave each plant 1 litre of water now. With steady increases. Still following Mr Canucks Water schedule. I am assuming I have to amend the soil 30 days from veg start. Day 20 is actually day 14. Ok so I will make my adjustments based on Veg and Flower that makes things way easier then the total time. So I noticed leaf septoria on Patient 3 so I found a remedy of copper fungicide. So I made a mixture of neem oil and Copper. 1 tbsp per gallon. So we will see how it turns out. The increase in humidity has helped. Having a 4*8 tent and not filling it up with plants I have noticed is a waste. After this grow I will be filling it up. Veg +9: The patients are going strong have them 1000ml of water and athe 5 gallon bucket went empty so I am filling it now to put it back in the aerator. The patient number 3 will be sprayed at lights out for the spotting again. Other than that a good end to week 2. Veg +11: We will be tracking the Patients 1 and 2. Since they are next to each other in same day of growth. I adjusted the Humidity to 55. I ordered an inline box filter. The tent is in the garage and do not want any outside debris in the tent which I thought could be happening. I also vacuumed the tent as well. Veg +12. Added 1000ml of water today. Thinking of starting to LST to open up the plant a lil. There are quiet a few branches under there. So while writing this I have decided to LST the main branch.

All in all it was a great grow, alot of challenges alot the way but Im glad i stuck it out because It was 100% worth it in the long run. Buds are a very dark purple, full of trichomes, really special to look at with your own eyes, unfortunately my phone camera doesnt quite catch the beauty. Straight from drying and the buds taste amazing with their own unique taste and smell. I cant wait to see what its like after a 2 week cure! I reccomend growing this strain.

Moving forward, blooming nice, this second gen is taking form and gaining weight. A few weeks and we will have a nice harvest. Tent is nicely populated and filled. Once i have setup the “semi scrog” it has conformed to it in a couple of days and did a massive difference. It really opens the canopy and create a huge surface to take advantage from the light as opposed to letting it go naturally. I’m defining the technique as semi scrog because i did not setup the net in a traditional early way knitting in veg... It was done later.

The increased CO2 allows plants to thrive at higher temperatures, which in turn necessitates higher humidity to maintain the ideal VPD for healthy growth and transpiration. 80F -5F = 75F LST with 70% RH = 0.72 kPa. Higher temperatures and humidity promote rapid growth, nutrient uptake, and photosynthesis while maintaining a lower stress level. Temperature influences the rate of enzymatic reactions involved in aerobic respiration. Enzymes, such as those involved in glycolysis, the Krebs cycle, and the electron transport chain, work most efficiently at an optimal temperature range. In low temperatures, enzymatic activity will slow down, thus reducing the rate of aerobic respiration. In high temperatures, enzymes can become denatured, thus impairing their function and stopping the process of aerobic respiration. Glucose is the primary fuel for aerobic respiration. The rate of aerobic respiration increases with the availability of glucose, as it is the starting point for glycolysis. If glucose levels are low, cells may rely on alternative energy sources such as fatty acids or amino acids , but these processes may yield less ATP or be less efficient. To determine this effect, carbon dioxide volume was measured (as carbon dioxide is an output of aerobic respiration) 18/6 with the 6 being IR. The near infrared (IR-a) borders around 700nm up to 1400nm @ photon par flux density of 1.8 instead of darkness, keeping temps overnight a neat 77F-80F. Think of my tent as a lung. What goes in must come out. When the rate of air going out exceeds the amount of air coming in, it creates a negative pressure. Tent concaves (bends in). If set up correctly, your RH will begin to drop slowly to the desired level you set, and the extraction turns off when it reaches desired% RH. The plant, as it performs cellular respiration, will always be releasing more water into the air, so the RH% of the tent overnight will always increase, so long as oxidative phosphorylation is occurring. As soon as the RH% creeps back up to 55%, the extraction turns back on, over and over. This creates a strong pressure differential which will work wonders on your grow. Replicating high and low-pressure fronts in nature. Critical for oxygen diffusion at the critical time of peak cellular respiratory function.. Moisture will not transfer from a saturated atmosphere to another if that air is already at or above its saturation point, meaning the air can't hold any more water vapor. Once I understood that water is produced as a by product during cellular respiration, specifically at the very end of the electron transport chain (ETC) where electrons are finally transferred to molecular oxygen, the higher the RH of the air, the more resistance there is for more moisture to be added to that environment, and effects the ease with which it does so. But none of that water comes from the pot; it's pulled from the air. If you run high daytime RH, your medium/pot is 100% reliant on transpirational root pull to move water. ZERO evaporation happens across the atmosphere if the tent air has high RH%, the medium cannot release its water through evaporation. Once a canopy develops, light no longer slowly wicks and evaporates from the topsoil. The Soil-Plant-Atmosphere Continuum (SPAC) describes the continuous pathway and process of water movement, driven by a gradient in water potential, from the soil, through the plant's roots, stem, and leaves, and finally evaporating into the atmosphere through transpiration. There is evaporation, there is transpiration, and then there is evapotranspiration; Evapotranspiration (ET) is the combined total of two processes: evaporation (water lost directly from soil and surface water into the atmosphere) and transpiration (water released from plants to the atmosphere through their leaves). Evapotranspiration represents the total amount of water that moves from the medium into the air. There is no such thing as a medium with too much water, only a medium that retains too much for too long. The water must always flow efficiently from one atmosphere(Medium) to another(Air) in a timely manner. Moisture is a critical factor for bacterial growth and decay. Dictating how long it's allowed to sit in any one location for any given period is a key preferred control. To ensure a net reduction in a bacterial population, the rate of removal (ET) must exceed the rate of bacterial growth (decay rate), which is often modeled as a growth rate for the specific bacterium under the given conditions. By optimizing daytime VPD, we also optimize conditions for bacterial growth to explode exponentially above 77°F.. If water is allowed to sit in a medium without an escape within a timeframe, nothing good will happen. IF High RH is maintained overnight as well as during the day, placing 100% of water movement at the behest of daytime transpiration, roots can only pull where they can reach, and if soil is compressed above a certain point, moisture will become trapped in a medium with no way of moving day or night. This will begin the countdown for decay to take hold. When water stagnates in a medium, it loses oxygen, creating anaerobic conditions that foster the growth of harmful microorganisms like bacteria and fungi, which can produce toxins and disease vectors. Thigmomorphogenesis, the process by which plants respond to mechanical stimuli like touch by altering their growth and development, results in significant morphological changes to improve survival against mechanical perturbations. This complex response involves sensing touch and initiating physiological and genetic responses, leading to changes in form and structure over days or weeks. The process is triggered by physical forces such as wind, rain, or touch. Plants adapt to these stimuli by changing their shape and structure, which may include slower growth, thickened stems, or altered leaf development. Plants possess sophisticated mechanisms to detect even subtle mechanical stimuli and initiate responses. A variety of molecules, including calcium ions, jasmonates, ethylene, and nitric oxide, are involved in signaling these mechanical inputs. Touch can induce the expression of genes that encode proteins for calcium sensing, cell wall modification, and defense mechanisms. A plant exposed to constant wind may become shorter and sturdier. A plant that is touched frequently might grow more slowly to conserve energy and develop thicker cell walls. These changes increase a plant's resilience and ability to survive in harsh environments. Gorgeous lady! This plant have performed really well so far in this 4 weeks since planted, beautiful hybrid leaves I know this lady is gonna kill it this year, very excited to grow her, I expect to make a nice bush out pf her with many fat colas however she looks just so cute right now without any training or topping, I'll be transplanting this lady veeery soon so stay tuned guys!!! 💓💚💛

Girls are doing well with the LST. Kosher cake was topped last week and now has what looks like 8 heads. 3rd of June have given the girls living soil veg.

So day 21 of flower today, major defoliation done yesterday and feed only water and molasses phed to 6.5. The plants look good again but very bare with out the leafs, lots of light can peneetrate the lower buds now tho. Hopefully see some nice growth this week 😀. Day 23 of flower. Been battling humidity these past few days, with the de humidifier on i can get it to 48% so not to bad now, a good purchase lol. Plants are stinking really skunky when you open the room up, but to touch and smell its like pure citric 🍋 lemon. There Starting to put out lots of trichomes now, hopefully I have a good pheno.

Gorilla Jealousy F1 has fill in well over the last week. She got her roots pruned today. Along with some lst, and defoliation. She has been growing really well. I will likely move her into my small tent once the photoperiod in there now is done flowering in 3 weeks roughly. My plants have flowered really well in that tent, and environment. Nothing more to report at the moment. Pineapple Express (PE) x2 & Auto Durban Poison x3 (DP): This week They have grown a lot. PE #1, #2, & DP #1 all had dark green leaves with a waxy look. DP #1 even starting to show some white tips on new growth and a few white spots. This is a sign of Nitrogen Burn. Watered to run off to cool things but I feel it's not such a problem. They are still green and growing so I'll leave them be. Accidently pinched a leave on DP #1 marked it pretty good. Transplanted PE #1 & #2 into 3 Gal Pots. Transplanted DP #1, #2, & #3 into 1-Gal pots. But later up potted DP #2 to a 2-Gal tall pot once it flowered. DP #2 seems to be in flower very early (Day 33). Sohum Living Soil for Cannabis thus far has been a good but Hot soil. Retains water well. I've watered to run off then don't need to do it again for 4-5 Days. Currently hitting them with 18/6, 800-850 ppfd, RH 53%, Temps 75-80F, Ambient CO2 550-800ppm. FIMed DP #1 seems like there are 2 mains now. Topped DP #3 for 2 Colas as well. Practicing techniques.

Great week for the Peyote Cookies, faded out beautifully. She stacked up size right until the end. Smells super dank, and her buds are rock hard. Loads of purple in this pheno. Very high calyx to leaf ratio which is what I like to see. Definitely bringing her back into the garden again. Her flush was done for about 20 Days. She’s now down drying.
