This week was a good recovery week, after this previous disaster at the beginning of the week. They took about 3 days to bounce back. I had to defoliate pretty heavily. You can't tell 4 days later that I did. I wanna avoid defoliating too often, as these poor buggers are already stressed. I think in about 3 days I will see if they stop growing in height, when they do... I will defoliate again. All for all, I'm pretty happy that they bounced back so well. I also have upped the EC a touch to 1.5 this week, and I'm only seeing the tiniest hint of tip burn. So I think they are at the max before it starts to really burn them. The rate they are drinking, its a struggle to keep the mix at 1.4.

End of the third week of the stretch and they certain out did stretch indeed😳. Had to crop over the tallest female - she just stretched wayyy too much and that’s gonna go against her in the rankings when we draw out our seed on each plant. The first male has dropped fully and the others are another 1-2 days out from harvest. We’ll collect all that pollen and store it for future use if it’s needed. The plants are all showing both similarities and differences - there’s an even distribution of sativa and indica leaning phenos which suggests that there is def. Some variability in terms of traits for this F1 generation. Exactly what we were looking for as we pare this down to the second filial generation. On the overall growth - absolutely no issues at all with nutritional deficiencies which is a welcome change of pace. The last while we’ve been growing some strains that have shown very odd reactions to nute changes and I suspect this is a result of certain strains simply being bred out too far. Hard to say but the radar is definitely up with the well known breeders right now. We have some real winner pheno clones that we’ve rooted and will be flowering out once we get this tent cleaned up and free of pollen. All told, the run is progressing much better than anticipated and with the rate of turnover through transition, I’m happy to say that there isn’t any one plant I won’t consider test running on the next cycle. We did have some og auto genetics in the tent for pollination as well but that plant is looking like a bit of a mutant. Not sure if we’ll even bother with testing it at this point but you never know. Expect a harvest update on the males as we move in to the flowering side of the grow and then it’s just waiting around for seed👍. Alls well for now. Background This project has been a year in strain selection (and another year in the actual making) to get to this point with a viable potential cross. It’ll be a true polyhybrid with a mix of sativa and indica leaning properties for each. We’ve combined an especially powerful hybrid sativa strain of Strawberry with an equally manageable and hard hitting strain of indica dominant Skywalker OG. The hope has always been to combine them and boil out the best characteristics of each. The strawberry is phenomenal in terms of terp profile and a mix of strong head and body effects while the Skywalker is a mind bending, body butter kind of indica with that earthy Kush profile and flowery undertones. The strawberry is prone to botrytis and fasciation but features excellent terps and yields if grown correctly. She’s Also stretchy and somewhat unruly when she gets going. The Skywalker is a contrast in growth characteristics with a squat structure, medium sized buds and excellent resilience and resistance. The plan is to seed out the available females and take cuts of what we can post-stretch to get a closer look at any differing phenos. Still very much early stages for a stabilized new strain but we’ve got the right foundation of solid genetics. Now we just gotta get it off the ground to the next generation👍. We’re predominantly focused on the plants that demonstrate that hybrid vigour and wasting no time with any problem plants or runts. The wedding cookies so far is smelling really sweet and a gassy diesel aroma. Thc is starting to stack now. I didn’t really have any high hope for this as I bought it not really knowing about genetics and breeders! But it’s starting to do me proud lol as of the Bruce cookies which will be the biggest one you see In the pics has been doing great the whole time. Also I will probs just do an all in one diary for!!! 😄

Continuing to use nutrients from 9 days ago. Mostly added back water to the tank to reduce the EC, as it was too high in my opinion. Going to try and milk another week out of the nutrients in the tank at the moment, as there are no obvious signs of deficiencies to note. As you can see, I have opted not to defoliate at all for this grow. So far I have only cut off two leaves just so I can get to my filler cap easily. I am doing a little supercropping here and there to level up the canopy. In just over a week they have grown from 51 cm to 93 cm. So a good 80% increase in height. An average of 2 inches of growth per day. If they grow similarly to my last crop, they should have just under 2 weeks stretching left to do. Happy new year!

The girls are ready soon! Leaves of the Royal Gorilla are completely yellow, don't know why but I think it's because it's time to harvest. Take a look at the trichomes, I'm waiting for a few more amber ones. How many days should I let them live? 110 días en total con 50 días de vegetación y 60 días de floración termina este hermoso y oloroso cultivo!! Contento con la experiencia, sin duda estas plantas mostraron el linaje de sus padres, creo que con menos tiempo de vegetación me hubiese ido mucho mejor, pero feliz ya que estas plantas mostraron un engorde 100% de sus cálices hasta los más bajos y eso me encanta. He terminado esta semana a pura agüita y como se puede ver en la decoloración de las hojas el flawles finish y el lavado de raices ayudaron a que las plantas coman sus reservas, las hojas muestran quemaduras en los bordes por que las mantuve a alta temperatura con la iluminación a tope las últimas 3 semanas. Al fin he terminado y me encantó el resultado Ahora a cosechar!!

They all doin pretty good, leaves are a little too yellow for my liking at this point I should have added some grow to the mix but they will be fine I think. This one is a one of the shorter ones with fat buds. This plant seems to have grown much denser and better than my first plant. I just got the ac infinity ventilation setup with controller 69 for my 2x2, still trying to learn, hopefully grow #3 goes even better. Stay tuned

1/28/25 She has a very strong berry smell to her. Very different from her sisters 1/31/25 kinda late but i lollipopped a bunch of lower branches 2/3/25 downloaded the photone app and noticed the levels of par are very displaced and was able to raise the lights to get a better reading.
