Blueberry Muffin – Pheno B | Week 4 Finding Her Own Rhythm Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure, where twelve cultivars are being documented individually from seed to harvest under a strict 12/12-from-seed schedule. Every phenotype follows its own diary, allowing each plant to develop independently and reveal the subtle differences that make every seed a unique expression of its genetics. Week 4 has been another exciting chapter across the entire room. The explosive growth that began last week has continued, and every day the garden feels a little more alive. Canopies are becoming denser, branches are reaching outward with confidence, and the room is slowly transforming into the miniature forest I imagined when this project first began. One thing that couldn’t go unnoticed this week was the environmental reading. 33.3°C and 63% humidity. Apparently the grow room has developed a strange obsession with the number three. 😄 Although temperatures climbed higher than I’d normally like, the relatively high humidity helped soften the impact, and the plants rewarded the stable environment by continuing to grow with impressive vigor. Sometimes nature reminds us that consistency is just as important as chasing perfect numbers. ⸻ Week 4 Environment 🌡️ Temperature: 33.3°C 💧 Relative Humidity: 63% 💡 PPFD: 700–800 µmol/m²/s 🌱 Medium: Plagron Lightmix ? Growing Method: 12/12 From Seed As the room continues to develop, another interesting difference is appearing naturally. The lighting itself hasn’t been increased significantly this week. Instead, some phenotypes are simply growing faster and moving closer to the fixtures. Those taller plants are now receiving around 800 PPFD, while the shorter individuals remain closer to 700 PPFD. It’s another reminder that no two phenotypes read the same instruction manual. Even under identical conditions, every plant follows its own pace. ⸻ Feeding Strategy The feeding program has also continued evolving alongside the plants. During the first weeks the nutrient solution stayed around pH 5.8, maximizing nutrient availability while young root systems became established inside the containers. Now those root systems have expanded considerably, allowing a slight shift in strategy. Throughout this week the solution gradually moved toward pH 6.1, while nutrient strength steadily increased, finishing around EC 1.8. The recipe itself hasn’t changed dramatically. No major adjustments. No sudden jumps. Simply a gentle increase in concentration to match the plants’ increasing appetite. Sometimes the smallest adjustments create the biggest improvements, and this week’s growth has been a great example of that philosophy. Allowing the pH to drift slightly higher also gives the roots access to a broader spectrum of nutrients available within the substrate, helping support the increasing demands of this new stage of growth. As always, the goal remains the same: Listen to the plants, not the feeding chart. ⸻ Blueberry Muffin – Pheno B This young lady has been quietly writing one of my favourite stories inside the tent. Unlike her sister, who seemed determined to impress from almost the very beginning, Pheno B decided to keep everyone guessing. Her first weeks were… let’s call them creative. The leaf structure wasn’t quite what I expected, growth was a little unusual, and every new set of leaves felt like another clue in a mystery I hadn’t solved yet. Fast forward to Week 4… The mystery is starting to make sense. She’s finding her own rhythm. Looking at her now, it’s hard not to appreciate just how much progress she’s made over the course of a single week. The unusual appearance that once caught my attention is fading into the background as healthy, vigorous new growth begins taking over the canopy. She’s still not trying to imitate her sister—and honestly, I hope she never does. Every phenotype deserves to express itself. The structure is becoming noticeably fuller, with side branches beginning to establish themselves beneath the canopy while the main stem continues building upward with confidence. Internodal spacing remains compact, creating a nicely stacked framework that should provide plenty of future flowering sites. One detail I particularly enjoy is the contrast between the older and newer growth. Fresh leaves emerge in a bright lime-green colour full of energy before gradually darkening as they mature, giving the plant a vibrant appearance that changes almost daily. Looking deeper into the canopy, more secondary shoots are beginning to appear than I expected only a week ago. She seems to be quietly building herself from the inside out, strengthening her framework before making any dramatic moves upward. There’s something very satisfying about watching a plant overcome an uncertain beginning. She may not possess the textbook symmetry of Pheno A, but she’s developing a character entirely her own. And sometimes, those are the phenotypes that end up becoming unforgettable. ⸻ Looking Ahead Week 5 should be another exciting milestone. With nutrient demand increasing, root development well established, and the first signs of flowering beginning to appear throughout the room, I’m expecting another noticeable leap in development. Over the coming week I’ll be watching closely for: • Stretch progression as flowering begins. • Continued branch development. • Response to the higher EC. • Structural differences compared to her sister phenotype. • How her unique architecture evolves as the canopy continues to fill. The slow start now feels like a distant memory. This week wasn’t about catching up anymore. Day 54: The plants are growing fine, and looks healthy. It is maybe going a little slow now, but I think that's normal in the current state. I have also decided to feed the girls a bit, and from my many recommendations gathered from my grow questions (And a big thank you to all the help!), auto-flower don't eat as much as photos, so I gave the half dose of the nutrient schedule recommendations (Approx 1600 ppm). It is given to them this one time only, for each plant, and afterwards i am back to just plain water (240 ppm)

Moin moin liebe Leute erstmal Entschuldigung das ich Woche 8 nicht hoch geladen habe, hab einfach den Kopf zu voll zur Zeit der grow läuft an sich ganz gut alle 2 Tage muss ich die Arme der okto moms neu anpassen mit der Höhe damit die Äste einiger maßen auf gleicher Höhe bleiben. Hab zusätzlich heraus gefunden was die Flecken auf den blättern verursacht ich hab die ganze zeit extract und bat boost gleichzeitig genutzt dabei werden die Zusätze getrennt benutzt (ich depp wieder) extract für vegi phase und in blüte umstellen auf bat boost naja die okto moms leben und gedeihen werde die tage auch auf 12/12 licht plan umstellen und somit ist dann auch die Hälfte des grows schon wieder rum euch noch ein schönen Sonntag meine homies und growmies

January 24, 2019 The girls are doing WELL. My autos (Blackberry and NYC Diesel) are mid-flush now and will be chopped down this weekend. The Blackberry is a beautiful purple and smells lovely. This week she's been getting water only as a flush. I'm going to flush her one more time tomorrow, then chop her down over the weekend. 👍 ***January 26, 2019 update*** Cut down the FastBuds Blackberry and Barneys Farm NYC Diesel today and added a pic of the hanging branches. The NYC Diesel buds are much more dense than the Blackberry. The Blackberry buds are pretty loose and airy. I'm curious to see what they look like after drying for a week. Stay tuned...

Hi Growmies, So far she is doing what she is supposed to. She popped her head out within two days and since then she has been growing nicely. I have switched on a little fan to make sure she gets sturdy enough. I have also transplanted her into her final net pot and nested her in a bed of Speedgrow green mini cubes and soaked her for 15 min in a 500 ppm ph balanced RO water. I would love to upload some videos, however this seems to be getting increasingly challenging on this website. Doing great so far this week. This for girls to see major swings and temperatures and I do feel that for that, but I am doing everything I can to create a consistent environment.

Very Nice looking and good Smelling Plant. Buds after Trim are medium dense but very tasty. Flavourwise it goes into ripe Berrys with a hint of Citrus and Soapyness in the background. The Plant looks exactly like on the pictures High-Giraffe-Seeds shows on their website. All in all definetly a recommendable Plant to grow.

One more final week has started )) After Mary Jane 2026, I honestly forgot everything — feels like ages ago. I only remember that we decided to see whether she would get even darker. Well... looks like she did ) The heat has arrived, with occasional rain too, so I’ll hold her out for one more week with the last bit of strength.

I harvested the bottom half exactly one week after the top :)) I could weight precisely this time, 126g wet for the 4 branches with stem. Should be ~100g of wet buds, 150g for the top so ~250g in total (40/50g dry maybe?). I’m happy with that, it’s more than I expected for this plant First half is 30.1g trimmed :) I’m trimming the next half in one week

I have been using LST in the form of a fan on medium speed to try and strengthen the main stalk of the plant as well as planter rotation to strengthen the main stalk for tie down LST. So far I've been impressed with the rate of growth and the overall experiment. For what it's worth, the growth wth is very very similar to a hydroponics growth. I'm sure as the experiment continues I'll notice some big differences. It does appear to have either a minor potassium deficiency or a little too much nitrogen. Will monitor and update as needed. The above signs may have been trying to indicate the main stalk was weakening from too much weight from vertical grow rate. This would ultimately lead to a fractured stalk. Is this what happened or is it a fungus or disease problem? Plant C sprouted within 48hrs and will be 6 days behind Plant A. End goal of harvest is still 360g from the two plants combined. Both plants are looking very happy regardless of the toxicity or deficiency. Strong strain nonetheless.

👑 Godfather OG – Pheno A Week 7 | Reaching for the Sky Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! One of the things I enjoy most about this project is seeing just how differently genetics express themselves when every plant shares exactly the same environment. Every phenotype receives the same light. The same nutrients. The same temperatures and humidity. The same care. And yet... Every single one chooses her own path. Godfather OG Pheno A has clearly decided that her path is upward. At approximately 166 cm tall, she has become one of the tallest ladies in the room, stretching confidently above much of the canopy while maintaining an elegant structure that seems almost effortless. She's becoming difficult to ignore. 🌱 One Garden, Twelve Different Stories For anyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is an experiment in growing twelve different cultivars using the 12/12 From Seed technique. Instead of giving the plants a traditional vegetative period, every seed was placed under a 12-hour light and 12-hour dark cycle from the very beginning. The result is something I absolutely love watching. Every phenotype writes its own story. Some remain compact. Some focus on branching. Others build flowers early. And then there are plants like Godfather OG Pheno A... ...whose first instinct seems to be reaching for the lights before settling down to build flowers. It's a perfect reminder that genetics will always have the final word. 👑 Chasing the Ceiling This week she continued doing exactly what she's been doing since flowering began... Stretching. And she's doing it beautifully. Despite her impressive height, the internodal spacing remains excellent, giving every future flower plenty of room to develop while allowing light to penetrate deep into the canopy. Rather than becoming lanky or unbalanced, she carries herself with remarkable elegance. Every branch appears purposeful. Every node seems perfectly placed. Watching her grow feels less like managing a plant and more like watching architecture slowly build itself. 🍃 A Picture of Health If I had to describe this phenotype in one word this week... Healthy. The foliage carries a rich, vibrant green colour from top to bottom. The leaves are perfectly formed, reaching confidently toward the light without any signs of stress. The stems remain thick and sturdy, easily supporting the rapid vertical growth. Sometimes the healthiest plants aren't the ones screaming for attention. They're simply the ones that quietly look perfect day after day. Godfather OG Pheno A is quickly becoming one of those plants. 🌸 Flowers Beginning to Take Shape The stretch may still be continuing, but flowering is becoming more obvious with every passing day. Fresh white pistils continue appearing across every branch, and the individual flower sites are beginning to develop into recognizable bud formations. They're still early. Still delicate. Still building their foundations. But the framework is now clearly visible. The coming weeks should see these small clusters begin merging together into longer, fuller colas as the plant gradually shifts more of her energy away from vertical growth and toward flower production. 🌿 Letting Genetics Lead One of the things I've learned over the years is that not every vigorous plant needs constant intervention. Sometimes the smartest decision is simply getting out of the way. Only minimal adjustments continue this week. A little leaf tucking. The occasional branch repositioning. Nothing more. Her natural structure is already doing an outstanding job of distributing light throughout the canopy, and I don't see any reason to fight what her genetics are naturally trying to accomplish. Sometimes nature really does know best. 🍽️ Feeding the Entire Room As with the rest of the 8×8 Adventure, nutrition is shared across the entire reservoir, each phenotype receives the exact same nutrient solution hand feeding or autopot. This week's feeding included: • Terra Bloom – 2 ml/L • Green Sensation – 1 ml/L • Sugar Royal – 1 ml/L • Power Buds – 1 ml/L • pH adjustments using Lemon Kick and pH Plus when required The increase to 2 ml/L of Terra Bloom wasn't made specifically for this plant but for the entire room, as all twelve ladies continue moving deeper into flowering together. Even though every phenotype responds differently, they all share the same table. 🌡️ Environmental Conditions Maintaining consistency remains one of the biggest priorities throughout this grow. This week's averages included: • Day temperature: 29°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 60% • pH: 5.8 • EC: 1.95 mS/cm • Nutrient solution: 22°C • Root zone: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 639 ppm Stable conditions allow the genetics to express themselves naturally, and this room continues proving just how important consistency really is. 📸 This Week's Gallery This week's photographs tell an exciting story. The wide shots immediately reveal just how much taller she's becoming compared to many of the surrounding plants. The close-ups showcase beautiful early flower development, vibrant green foliage, and exceptionally clean internodal spacing. One of my favourite images captures her standing proudly above the canopy. It's almost as if she's announcing to the room that she isn't finished stretching just yet. She's becoming one of the true standouts of this project. 🔮 Looking Ahead The biggest question for next week is simple... Will she finally slow down? Or does she still have another growth spurt waiting? Either way, I expect the stretch to gradually begin easing while flower production starts taking priority. Those clusters of fresh white pistils should continue stacking into larger bud sites, and if everything continues progressing as smoothly as it has so far, the first noticeable resin production shouldn't be too far away. She's already among the tallest plants in the room. Day 43 - First day of week 7 today and she looks really good just not sure if she’s really starting to flower yet. I’m hoping this is just typical of the GC strain. Day 44 - No major changes, she’s growing and I’m loving the looks of her. Will continue uploading daily pictures. Day 45 - She’s looking really good and budding more and more each day. Gave her straight pH’d water today and tomorrow and will give her another feeding on Saturday. She’s drinking almost a gallon of water a day. Day 46 - Things are looking good with this girl. Bud sites are growing daily and this thing is a beauty. Gave her another feeding of just pH’d water and will “feed” her tomorrow. Day 47 - ALL is looking good and she’s looking purdy. Gave her a feeding with the foxfarm nutes today. Did a true measurement to the biggest branch and she’s at 25.5”. Will continue to measure each day to see how much she’s growing in a 24 hour period. Day 48 - Looking gorgeous and still stretching. Grew another two inches and is sitting at 27.5” right now. She’s really starting to fill in now and looking forward to the next few weeks. Day 49 - The way thing thing is growing, she’s gonna be a beast. Gave her straight pH’d water tonight and will give her a feeding tomorrow. Looks like she finally stopped stretching, sitting at 27.5” still so hopefully she’ll start putting on the weight.
