Gary Patron - Nine Weeks Harvest Day 125 🚿 No watering for this week, she was left to dry back in preparation for harvest. ✂️ I removed some of her fan and larger sugar leaves, I then chopped her at the base and hung her to dry in a dark cool environment with temperatures between 19-21 degrees Celsius and relative humidity set at 58-61% 👌🏻 🌸 Start of week 10 bloom, and her trichomes have started to turn amber and all her pistils have dried and browned. She has been thoroughly flushed, so today is harvest days 🎉

Partial reset on this girl who is obviously stunted and struggling. Not all strains are created equal and experience combined with skill goes a long way. So, taking my lumps with this girl. So, long story short, I reduced the ppm by draining and replacing 2.5 gallons of ph'd RO w/cal-mag added. This resulted in bringing down the ppm to roughly 500 w/ph at around 5.6. Will continue to monitor ph, ppm, and water levels for the remainder of this week looking for stabilization. At that point, I will gradually raise the ppm levels. If she doesn't make it back before TKO is ready to flip, I may need to scrap her given limited space. Come on girl, let's go... Midweek 4 update: Well, time has come for a decision. I moved the PBCRbx over to the 3x3 grow tent, so I can continue to care for her. Clear case of too much nutrients (high ppm levels) that have stunted early stage veg growth. Tried monitoring and adjusting ph twice a day but ppm remained higher than range resulting in fan leave tips looking burnt. Also some nutrient lock out occurring. Given ppm remaining high and water level dropping, I decided it was time to do a complete flush. Emptied and thoroughly cleaned bucket, air stone, and air line exposed in bucket. RO water with cal-mag and nutrients ph'd to 5.5 w/ppms at roughly 625. A day after flushing, the PBCRbx is looking a lot better. As a back up, I am running a separate PBCRbx by Ethos in a 3 gal fabric of coco peat, which is doing very well.

Day 60 today! It says from harvest to seedling 67 days, but it’s lookin pretty good? The top especially, The bottom seems to be more clear I’ll move a light around and try to get it facing that way. She’s had plain water for the past week. She smells so good! I’m super excited to taste it and see an end weight! 🤩 💨

I don't want to jinx myself, but man this grow is starting great. I haven't been growing long but this has been the best start I have had. This new system is working perfect. I am using 75% RO water & 25% tap. A total of 16 gallons to run this. The tap here is pretty good. It took about a day to stabilize the ph. I am handling the weekly maintenance on this system kind of like my 125g aquarium. Doing this I am able to keep the ph at the optimum level with no worries of any drifting. I was in such a hurry to put in my ac for the tent I didn't think about how dry it's been here. So for now I'm using some wet towels to get the humidity up to an acceptable level for these little plants. The new led lights have been amazing. Maybe another couple weeks and I can put the CMH light in. Please excuse the untidiness. Eventually I will get that all cleaned up. Been so busy with moving into the new house and getting this built and running right. Well let me know how you think everything is coming along. I have been looking into getting a light controller to use with the CMH. Just haven't found one that looks worthy of the price. Update: Well it's been 14 days from seed and 7 days since I put them in the hydroponic system. I'm not sure how well this stuff works for other people, but damn these are looking amazing. I think this weekend I will change out the res and up the nutrients, maybe 500 ppm. I am also going to put my CMH light in. I have been itching to use it since I bought it. I have the 4100k phillips for veg and 3100kr for flowering. Next week I will probably start LST. I don't think I am going to top these, just too worried about stressing them and hermies all over again. I posted some new pictures. Be sure to check them out and give me some thoughts and feedback. Week 11 started, I was hoping for a harvest soon, but looking at buds and comparing to other growers, seems like plants arent quite ready yet. Will harvest at end of week I think. So week 11 has ended, I got myself a better microscope mid-week, looking through microscope and comparing whats written on the internets it looks like it still isnt quite ready. Perhaps I'll go for an early harvest, what could go wrong? Will wait few days to decide if want to harvest at next week start or wait much longer. First grow, zero experience. :D

End of week 3 stretch is coming to the end. Buds have formed nicely. Starting to frost and the smell is amazing. Open the tent and it nails you right in the nose. No deficiencies to report. Smooth week. Shes a thirsty one just like her sister 5 liters every morning and a lite pot 24 hours later. Thanks everyone ☺️

Not much to add , first week of flower down

Sep 7: what a great plant. Totally love how it’s going. Flowers keep getting fatter and heavier and she’ll be done before the end of September. Sep 8: there a tree root sticking up a bit in my yard which means the plant can be tilted toward the late afternoon sun. This is helpful because the sun is getting really low to the horizon already and we’re down to 13 h of daylight. Plus now direct sun is done in my yard by about 6 pm. Indirect light is okay but you really want direct sun at all times. Videos shows use of 730 nm far red light at dusk. Just a few seconds is all it takes to set the plant into dark mode two hours faster. It’s a bloom booster because you get two bonus hours of darkness or a 26 h day. Very effective but don’t miss a night and you have to adjust the timing each night. When starting this on July 20 Civil Twilight, as listed on timeanddate.com for my location, was at 9:45 and today it was at 8:40 pm. The red light at dusk is a highly recommended trick if you have daily access to your outdoor plants. Also works indoors, of course, and on autos too. Also I think it helps ‘stabilize’ the plant by emphatically putting it into dark mode, and therefore less susceptible to stray light to cause a hermie. Have not had hermie problems in four seasons of using the red light so that is my only ‘proof’ but it is true so far, even with taking flash pics before using the red light. Sep 9: getting heavier and now more branches are weighed down and slumping against the scrog net. Nice problem to have, I know, and without the scrog net some of the branches would be breaking off now. She’s now officially too big and too top heavy to keep moving around the yard in pursuit of direct sun. Sun is much lower to horizon now and direct sun hours are dropping too. Sep 10: getting close to done and getting very top heavy. Awesome. Sep 12: raining today. Has been cool last few nights and some purple colour is just starting to show. I don’t want to overdo fertilizer near the end, but I decided she is showing K deficiency. I’m out of malted barley but I still have potassium silicate, so I used that and some cal-mag. I’m avoiding kelp and molasses or using more P at this late stage because that can make the dried bud hard to burn and that really sucks. So, potassium silicate and cal-mag it is. The potassium silicate raises the pH and it takes about the same volume of vinegar to get the pH down. A good does of acetate is likely good for the bugs in the soil too. Then a squirt of Dr Bronners soap as a surfactant and that also supplies some biodegradable carbon for the bugs in the soil. Seems to work overall and is cheap. Day 29 29/07/24 Monday Nice feeding today with De-chlorinated tap water pH 6. Gave her 300 ml and she had a small run off. Getting chunky in the stem now 💪💚 Day 31 31/07/24 Wednesday De-chlorinated water pH 6 today with Plagron pk13-14 5ml to 5L Plagron power buds 5ml to 5L Used 300ml of the 5L solution. I will be using these on water days from now on as they are advised to be used every irrigation. We'll see how they perform 💪💚 Day 32 01/08/24 Thursday Another feed today using de-chlorinated tap water pH 6, there now taking 300ml every evening. Day 35 04/08/24 Sunday END OF WEEK 😁 De-chlorinated tap water pH 6 today with Plagron products. 300ml each. Had a issue with leaf invaders this week, I have treated and am checking every 48 hrs so far seems ok and not progressive. All plants look great, very healthy, one of the Overdose is way behind and due to space maybe culled at flower I'll see how she gets on.

I made so many mistakes during this run I can't even believe we made it to this point. The flowers aren't great but they're aight considering. I tested some run off and ppm was 3000+. I was consistently hearing the condensate pumps go off which made me think I was getting run off not realizing it was from the dehumidifier. The pics were taken on Thursday and after 2 days of flushing they look better and have swelled up a little bit. I sprayed dr zymes for the thrips 3 days in a row to try and knock them out. I know spraying in flower is never great but the zymes evaporates and really had no noticeable negative effects on the buds (pistil burning or residue) and I havnt seen a thrip or any damage in a few days. I also got the full line of Marrone bio grandevo, venerate and regalia which ill incorporate into a weekly ipm starting next run. I'm gunna wash the buds at the end. Hopefully all the dumb shit I do this run I can learn from and improve. Day 49 I've dropped the base nutrients and have them on 8 grams per gal of full tilt with some aptus additives and enzymes. The multi strain makes it tricky as a few really need 70-80 days but at this point I just want to wrap it up asap. I'll hand feed the 3 or 4 plants that still need the base probly.
