I did harvest this for bubble hash as fresh frozen but after my first two runs, I'm not so sure about that lol. There's definitely a bit of a learning curve, especially handwashing and not the coldest temperature yet to work with although I did get the studio down to 45°. I think I'm probably just gonna do some edibles with this or something. I'm going to convert the wet weight to the dry weight would be just to get an idea.

8/12 day 64 plants in smaller pots suffer a bit from nutrient deficiency. Living soil seems to fit better in large setups, anyways they will be feeded with tap water only until i chop them.

This is really a beautiful thing, growing nonstop and showing her Stamina that her fans are taking whoever is on her side from the side, the space dispute makes her a warrior, even in a smaller vase a little below the others she stays on top due to her effort and the GRODAN medium wool is being great at work, increasing the PPM little by little she is consuming well ph always in a safe zone, and leaving the CUBE / between wet / dry, not soaked she is loving it 😃

Today is the first day of Week 6! This past week in the 4x4 “Blackbox” Tent, the front right Hella Jelly continued to thrive and push new growth, this one seems to be the most vigorous of the plants in the tent. The front left Hella Jelly struggled with some droopiness this past week, and one or two of her fan leaves had holes from what I’m guessing may have been a caterpillar or some other pest. I ended up cutting some of the lower fan leaves to keep the plant high away from the soil. The Vanilla Frosting in the back left was stunted a bit by the topping, but now she seems to be doing well, she is sturdy and the new growth seems healthy. Her sister on the right is two weeks behind and hasn’t really taken off since being transplanted. I’m hoping Week 6 (her Week 4) will be her week to really start pushing new growth. I needed to get the humidity higher in a couple of the tents and, not having any extra humidifiers available, I decided to try hanging a beach towel from a hanger in the tent. I dangled the end of the beach towel in a 5-gallon bucket of water, allowing it to wick up the moisture. This increased the humidity in the 4x4 by 20% (from 37%-57%). This was incredibly helpful because my “smart” humidifier is currently dedicated to the drying of my recent Apple Fritter harvest, and my other humidifier is not larger enough to maintain the humidity in the larger 5x9 tent for more than 18 hours before drying up. When watering the 4x4 this week, I added 1/4 tsp/gal of Quillaja extract, 1 tsp/gal of Rootwise “Mycrobe Complete,” and 1 oz/gal of Thrive “Holy Cow” Yah-Whey fermented extract. I also top dressed with Kashi Gold from BuildaSoil and worm castings (about 1/2-1 inch layer). I water 3 times this week, the goal being to maintain even moisture. The cover crop has been thriving, and by the end of the week it was time for a chop and drop. I did so and added it back to the soil and aLeo added more straw as a mulch layer. Something else that was exciting this week, was adding 2,000 worms to the 8 30-gallon living soil pots in the 5x9. Before I added the worms that I ordered(from Buckeye Organics), I tried using avocados, cut in half and laid face down on the beds of soil in the 4x4. This worked surprisingly well! The worms are very attracted to the avocado and end up creating a “worm ball” where they rub up against each other, reproducing and creating even MORE baby worms. I did this several times, moving the worm “orgies” to a few of the 30-gallon pots, simply by transferring the avocados. This was my first time using “avocado tech,” and I have to say, it worked SO well. Looking at upcoming Week 6, I’m hoping to see more growth from the 3 vigorous plants, and for the Vanilla Frosting that is a couple weeks behind, I’m hoping for her to begin filling out more. The goal is to flip to flower in the next 1-2 weeks, unless I decide we need to go longer. Full steam ahead!

I thought the ladies would have another 2-3 weeks left in veg, but started to notice pistils forming within the last couple of days. So flower will most likely start to begin within the next week, I’m guessing I may see a couple oz per plant come harvest day. Not bad for first time grow & using autos, from what I’ve heard a lot of people do not recommend learning with autos due to how quickly their state can change depending on what you do with them. There are some things I wish now I would have done a bit different within the last couple of weeks, I can’t help but wonder how much bigger they’d be if I did not do any defoliation at all. But I have been combating flies bad and made the call to defoliate mainly for that reason. Started to cut back on veg foods and introduce flower foods and sugars to their diet. Humidity levels still at a steady decrease, aiming to have humidity down in the 30s come flower time. Will be going on vacation for a week soon, so fingers crossed that nothing goes wrong. Will be having a good friend of mine come by every couple of days to FaceTime me and make sure everything is handled as well as possible when the time comes.

Hello growmies! Welcome to week six of An Epsilon Adventure! Massive thanks to both Shogun and Royal Queen Seeds for sponsoring this grow! So here we are at week six and every one of these girls are at a slightly different stage, it is quite fascinating to watch them develop one after the other. Today I made the last adjustment to the light possible. I removed the adjustable hangers and affixed a carabiner which I tightly tied to the top of the tent bar. There is about 1.5 inches of space between the top of the shade and the tallest part of the roof of the tent. Plant 1 is already taller than this, and it looks like plant 6 and maybe even plant 5 are going to join it. It's a madness. I am sure you have already looked at the photos but just in case you do what I do and read the diary first... Here is my assessment at the beginning of week 6: Plant 1: Height: 1st (137cm) - what can I say about this ridiculous plant? Day 36... 137cm tall. I have had to raise the light to as high as it is physically possibly to raise it and it's still not high enough. She is done stretching now, she may add 3-5cm over the next week or so but I don't expect more than that, so her top of her main cola going to have to develop above the level of the light. Nothing I can really do, nothing wise anyway. What a monster plant. Maturation: 4th - early into flower - bud sites developing, pistils just starting to explode. Plant 2: Height: 4th (111cm) - this plant has been there or there abouts as the tallest plant for most of the grow, but she has topped out at 111cm. She will gain some during flower but not much more than a few centimetres. Very impressive plant, loads of bud sites, really big strong secondary branches. This one is going to be colas galore. Maturation: 3rd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 3: Height: 6th (95cm) For some brief days the tallest plant in the room, she peaked early and is now the "shortest" at "only" 95cm for this "50-70cm" strain. She is utterly dwarfed by four of her five sisters in just about every department, being quite a bit smaller even than plant 4 (although I have removed the most lower nodes from this plant). Compared with her sisters she is almost a runt... except that she is 25cm taller than the strain top-end average and matches the maximal height of the previous tallest Epsilon F1 plant I am aware of. It's not that she is small, actually she's pretty big for an Epsilon F1, it's just that the rest of the girls are on another level altogether. Plants 1, 5 and 6 are all absolute beasts. Maturation: 1st - well into flower - first shades of brown in some pistils. Plant 4: Height: 5th (98cm) although only 3cm taller than plant 3, overall she is a much larger plant. Her secondary nodes are the same height as plant 3. Maturation: 2nd - well into flower - all white pistils Plant 5: Height: 3rd (113cm) - one of the two thick/short girls who have grown at a similar pace all along - she is further ahead than plant 6 but not by much and I think she will probably exceed 120cm this week, though I do not think she will outgrow plant 1 or 6. Maturation: 5th - early into flower - bud sites developing. Plant 6: Height: 2nd (120cm) - my predictions were correct about this girl and her continued growth. I now think she might actually outgrow plant 1, which is quite worrying. Maturation: 6th - early into flower - bud sites forming - by far the least mature plant of the six. ### Week 6 Day 2 23:00 30/7 Photographed. Raised the light. Rotated the plants. Inspected, measured and reported on each plant. ### Week 6 Day 3 23:00 31/7 It has not escaped my attention that the plants that are more advanced into flower have darkened and have some burnt tips. I need to flush them and lay off the base nutes a bit. In the soil, readings are around 415 ppm, with temperatures hovering around 25°C The plants are absolutely thriving, and I can already see the difference this new feed is making. I can’t help but have a bit of fun with this process—it feels like I’m spoiling them with the best of the best. And they’re rewarding me with beautiful growth and vibrant green color. 🌸 Lava Cake – Week 5 Flower Report 🌸 We’ve reached Week 5 of flower — such an important and defining stage in the Lava Cake journey. Both phenos are shining, evolving beautifully, and filling the room with life and energy. It’s a week full of growth, observations, and some lessons to share. ⸻ 🌿 Current Status • Both plants are looking healthy, vigorous, and branching strong. • White hairs (pistils) continue to thicken and spread — the first signs of real bud-building. • Leaves show some spots, likely a touch of CalMag deficiency. This is not uncommon at this stage, as the plants’ demands for calcium and magnesium rise sharply during heavy metabolic activity. To support them, I’ve kept the full nutrient recipe steady this week and reintroduced Aptus All-in-One Liquid to strengthen the nutritional foundation and bounce them back quickly. ⸻ 💧 Nutrient Recipe (Week 5) • Aptus Regulator – cell wall support & stress resistance • Aptus CalMag Boost – to address spotted leaves and support photosynthesis • Aptus All-in-One Liquid – reintroduced this week to balance the base nutrition and help recovery from early deficiency signs • Plagron Power Buds, Sugar Royal & Green Sensation – pushing bud development, resin, and flavor complexity ⚠️ Note on feeding adjustments: This week we removed Top Booster from the mix. While it’s a great stimulator during certain flower stages, running it alongside Power Buds, Sugar Royal, and Green Sensation risks overlapping too much PK. Too much of a good thing can cause stress, salt build-up, or nutrient lockouts. By keeping the recipe focused and balanced, the Lava Cakes can thrive without overload. ⸻ 🌡️ Environment • Temperatures: Lower this week (relief!) thanks to cooling efforts. • Humidity: Still running a little high, sometimes hovering beyond the ideal. • Airflow: Two 6-inch exhausts + intake, all carbon filtered. This, along with fans inside, should keep the air moving and avoid stagnant moisture pockets. ⚠️ Note: Higher humidity at this stage can invite mold or mildew risks, but with strong airflow and constant air renewal, we’re reducing the chances. Removing Top Booster avoids nutrient overlap and keeps the focus on a clean, balanced mix. This isn’t just about correcting deficiencies — it’s about preparing them for the heavier bloom demands to come. With lower temperatures, steady airflow, and a carefully tuned recipe, the girls are thriving. Every day brings more white hairs, more structure, and more anticipation for what’s ahead. ⸻ 🔬 Science Spotlight: Nutrient Antagonism One of the biggest hidden challenges in mid-flower is nutrient antagonism — when too much of one element blocks the uptake of another. • Excess phosphorus (P) and potassium (K) (often from bloom boosters) can interfere with calcium (Ca) and magnesium (Mg) absorption. This can show up as leaf spotting, rust marks, or weakened stems even if those nutrients are technically present in the soil. • By removing Top Booster this week, we reduced the PK load and allowed CalMag supplementation to actually reach the plant without being locked out. • Balance always beats excess. The goal is steady, accessible nutrition, not maxing out one element. This principle is key to avoiding deficiencies during bloom: feed enough, but not too much of any one thing. ⸻ 🔬 Trichome Spotlight If you look closely at the close-ups this week, you’ll notice the first tiny crystals beginning to coat the flowers and nearby leaves. These are trichomes — microscopic resin glands that play a central role in the plant’s defense, flavor, and potency. ✨ What are trichomes? Trichomes are specialized structures on the plant’s surface that produce and store secondary metabolites: • Cannabinoids (like THC, CBD, CBG) • Terpenes (the aromatic compounds that give unique smells and flavors) • Flavonoids (contributing to color, taste, and subtle effects) Essentially, trichomes are the plant’s biochemical factories. 🌿 Why are they appearing now? In early flower, the plant begins to shift its energy from vegetative growth to reproduction and protection. Trichomes serve several evolutionary purposes: • Protection from UV light – the resin acts like sunscreen. • Pest deterrence – sticky, bitter compounds discourage insects. • Moisture regulation – resin helps buffer against stress. That’s why, right as buds begin to stack, you see an explosion of these glittering glands. 🔮 What to expect as they develop? • Density will increase week by week, eventually frosting the buds and sugar leaves. • Color will change: clear → cloudy/milky → amber. These stages are often used to decide harvest timing. • Aroma will intensify as terpenes concentrate, bringing out Lava Cake’s dessert-like profile. 🍯 The chemistry inside • Terpenes – molecules like limonene (citrus), myrcene (earthy), and caryophyllene (spicy). They don’t just shape aroma; they influence the entourage effect, modulating how cannabinoids feel. • Flavonoids – often overlooked, but they add subtle notes to flavor and can have antioxidant properties. • Cannabinoids – still forming now, but ramping up in mid-to-late flower. 🌸 Why this matters Seeing trichomes appear in such numbers this early is a sign of plant health and genetic quality. It means the Lava Cakes are channeling their energy toward flower defense and resin production — exactly what we want in a premium run. Every plants are all good health I decided to bloom 100%

Day 36 from seed touching soil. Devil still biggest. All girls started to smell strong. Development is nice, Mars TSL2000 making wonderfull job. Light is on 75% output. Watered today , 3.5 liters of 6.3 phed dechlorinated water went in. Thought to instal scrog, but its hard to reach anything even now, plus lifting pots becomes a problem. So will do heavy clearing next week or at the end of this one. Day 39. Girls got heavy training. Looks sad, they were ready to sleep, i did it very late in the day and watered next morning. Happy Growing !!!

Stardog room it is looking pretty good and is thriving. Hopefully get the results we asking for. Aya room up to now is giving pretty impressive results and it looks like they like the enviroment even tho its not fully equiped. After adding the c4 neet to celan the insides a little bit more and see how it will react.
