Hey everyone! It’s been another fabulous week of the girls fattening up getting ready for the ever looming harvest time! The colas are huge and glistening like a glitter ball! The back right girl has been on flush since day 51, 2 more went on flush on day 53, and the final girl front right went on flush today, day 56! Over the week I gave 3 girls a really heavy defoliation taking the majority of fan leaves off to allow good airflow and try fattening up those lower buds. It’s still impossible to tell if I prefer defoliation or not but we are getting close to harvest so should have a definitive answer to that soon! The back right girl has had absolutely no defoliation or trimming through her life cycle. I still regularly think back to when we broke one of the girls and transplanted, the cannabis gods were on our side warning us 4 girls will be huge, we were very lucky or would be seriously short of space as of now. As the girls are going to be harvested at slightly different times to ensure each are at their optimum, I have had to construct a dry box. How I built my smell free DIY dry box: Take a large cardboard box, cut an extraction hole in the top at one end and mount some ducting and seal the gap around the edge. Cut a flap in the opposite end at the bottom which will be the passive intake and promoting a draft through the hanging buds. Poke some holes in each end of the box using a screwdriver and thread some thin rope or string through the box tying the ends together once finished to give you sturdy locations to hang some pegs from. Finally I attached an extra bit of card on one of the flaps at the top; this overlaps the slight gap in the top between the flaps that could allow light to enter. Once completed I put the ducting into one of the lower intakes of the tent; the negative pressure in the tent then uses the air in the dry box as a passive intake creating a smell free area to dry your cannabis outside of your grow tent. This also keeps a slight breeze flowing through the box to ensure even drying. I spent the week mainly transplanting. I transplanted the Sour Diesels (ILGM) from a Jiffy Pot into a 1 gallon fabric pot.😁 I really didn't have any issues this week everything is going well 👌. The plant(s) recovered 😷 from the transplant like nothing even happened. I would guess in the next week or so I will be transplanting into a 2 gallon pot, depending on how fast she grows. I like to go up 👆 in pot size gradually. I never really believed it made a difference. I would go straight from the Jiffy Pot to my end pot (3 gal, 5gal, whatever). Then I found some 1 gallon and 2 gallon fabric pot at a really good price 😎 so I bought them. I started out just trying a few plants and kept the plants that went straight into the large pots right next to them. To my surprise 😮 I noticed a petty significant difference in growth. Now I figure for a little extra effort 💪 whether it works or not it's worth a shot.

Fun week! Got to transplant all the babies and i started lst on them to get some more lateral growth and better yeilds! No problems when transplanting roots looked good, you could tell that some had way more roots then others not sure if thats due to light positions or if its just genetics Its interesting because as far as general growth the Chocolate Marshmallow has was more internodal growth and branching, shorter plants but also trained very easily. As in stems where not too stiff but stiff enough that after the first trainung they pretty much stayed in place with minor adjustments needed the Double Ds on the other hand grew very tall with little to no horizontal growth and very large internodal spacing! And as far as training goes these stems where stiff and rock hard had a couple LST turn into HST or slight super cropping because i was a little too aggressive too quick! One DD had a top half snap practically all the way off but i just taped it up and lst the plant to lean into the break and it is doing just fine!

These all look pretty good this strain is pretty wild I look forward to seeing the progression.

Haven't touched much of anything, and the roots are starting to find their way out of the basket.

Damn, this is taking forever! 😅 I do have seen some new beginning of branches coming up in just a half a day., she's gonna go nuts, I just feel it....

Watered 3 times with Flawless Finish with 20% run off. After that, flushed everything out with plain water and then watered plain water a few more times with no run off (not all at once😀).. Just waiting on the pot to dry out completely 👌🙌

Finally was able to get my humidity down! I had to leave the door open to the room since it wasn’t exhausting outside. Cracking the window wasn’t enough. Also added a small dehumidifier inside the tent. Plants seem to be doing well with the nutes right in the AC Infinity watering bases. I manually fed Big Bloom since it’s full of sediment and I was worried it wouldn’t work with the wicks. They’re pretty handy so far, but I’m worried I’ll have to clean them out before the grow finishes. Had to move my oscillating fan to where my camera was, so my timelapse is going to be screwed up. Oops. One plant is super close to my light, hoping she will stop stretching soon… Excited to see those frosty sugar leaves coming in!

Week 8 of flower is in the books and this show is quickly coming to an end. I said last week we had about 7-10 days and I was spot on at the 10 day mark. I was only wrong about the order. The cheese is ready to chop before the rest and the gorilla cookies, cherry Bomb and lemon haze will follow in due course. The cheese is a beast and it’ll take a little time to get it all run through the bowl trimmer. At least the big one goes first. Her tallest colas have foxtailed like mar, despite the late supercrop. You can tell where the sweet spot for the light is at about 10” distance from the canopy. Any closer than that and the tails begin to show prominently. It’s a good example of just how close you can get to these fixtures with a little bit of prior experience. It’s been noted for the next run😎👍😎. The res. is on an h2o2 only flush for the remainder until the rest are ready to come down. Not a moment too soon either - the pollen chucking project has stalled out waiting for these girls to finish and now that we’ll have a little extra room, we can start running our cuts in the aerocloner🤟. Not long at all now folks. Thanks for tagging along through all this. Learned a bunch about this system and we’re back to hardware mode to make some serious improvements for the next run🤙😎. I love hardware mode😉. Background/Repetitive Nonsense The strain line up on this grow is look’n quite saucy 😈. We’ve got 2 FB strains this time around - Gorilla Cookies (seems we always have some GSC cross in the works). Mainly because the colours look stellar and remind me of a sugar breathe we did last year that was 🔥. The other FB is their original Cheese strain... because we already smoked all our cheese... and we really like our cheese...😉. Emerald triangle was kind enough to include a freebie of Lemon Haze. Wasn’t really big on the list but we haven’t done a haze strain to write home about yet so worth a go👍. The last is a Cherry auto from Bomb seeds that we’ve been trying to get to for months. Let’s just hope that she’s not a dud like the last bean. The new digs for this run are courtesy MarsHydro👊. Their 2x4 single grow tent, paired with a shiny new 240w QB courtesy ViparSpectra. These folks were kind enough to discuss a collaboration and as a result, here we are to test out the gear with an inaugural run of autos. Each week, we’ll try to expand on some of the benefits of each, as well as any limiting factors or considerations that need attention when pondering purchase. Already I can say that both are high quality products in terms of overall craftsmanship. MarsHydro 2x4 Grow Tent: Excellent construction in terms of durability. Reinforced stitching on the zippers and corners ensures zero tearing. Conveniently placed screen vents and intake/exhaust ports. The ceiling exhaust port only exists on the right side. Perfect for me but not great if you’re running exhaust from the top on the left side (left side wall port makes up for this however). The aluminum frame is rigid enough to support the weight of the lights and accessories. Once you have some weight in the tent, she’s go’n nowhere and you can assemble and break it down in record time if moving or stashing the grow op. Only limiting factors I’ve noticed is that temp. Control will be an issue for a tent. It just doesn’t have the same insulating ability as a wood cabinet or other permanent enclosed space. No worries, this is offset by a small desktop heater and keeps the environment exactly where desired. The other issue was a production problem - the ceiling vent was accidentally stitched into the corner seams on the assembly line. Again, no real issue - just pulled it out with no damage or fraying to the tent or port👍. Closest comparable to it that I’ve seen would be spiderfarmers line of qbs. They feature the same top-o-the-line components and roughly similar spectrums. Where VS takes the advantage is in the convenience of the dimmer nob which is easily accessible and works great at 50% with no strobing👍. The heat sink is also larger which contributes to lower temps. That’s not a good thing in my case but beneficial for most folks. I can already say that this will be a great fixture through all stages of growth. Where I know this light will excel will be in the veg. Stage for sure. Dimming function gives seedlings a much better chance of success with the ability to use lower lighting levels early on and the coverage area on a 240w is great. The average grower will find this panel suitable and fitting to their needs in a 2x4 grow space although I’d suggest 2 units if going any larger than that. The total output in this space equates to about 30w/sq.ft. Which is a decent amount of coverage based on power vs. Growprint. Ideal for veg. Certainly but, in flower - I tend to run closer to 50-60w/sq.ft to achieve higher yields. Again, similar fixtures have performed admirably in the past and while this wouldn’t be considered an “entry-level” fixture, I’d recommend that any grower new to the game not skimp on lighting and start with one of these. The price points are a great value for quality LED tech. These days, so there’s little reason to even consider a lesser fixture👍. I have no detail on limiting factors for this light as yet but have heard that stock branded fixtures don’t necessarily incorporate enough red diodes. I’ve seen no issue myself but confess - I’m no lighting guru. I did not grow these two plants to their potential. Hit with high temps as seedlings and fungus gnats in flower, I decided to harvest them probably 7-9 days too early. Nonetheless, after 4-5 days drying, they've been trimmed and jarred and tested. Smoke is very complex and honestly have never smelled such a strong incense like smoke rolling off the pipe before. Very clear and relaxing so far. Delicious grapey spiced beer flavor. Very white ash. So happy to have a larger lady of this being finished properly right now.

Es war eine sehr regnerische und teils stürmische Woche. Diese Zeit wird bei uns "Schafskälte" genannt, die Zeit, in der früher die Schafe bereits geschoren waren und dann eine kurze Kälteperiode eintrat. Sehr wechselhaftes windiges Wetter jedenfalls. Fruit Bomb Punch ist ohne Stütze gut gewachsen und ist insgesamt sehr buschig geworden. Die Erhöhung der Düngemenge in der Flüssigdüngung hat sie gerne angenommen. Bisher läuft es wie gewünscht, keine Defizite, keine Probleme, so kann es weitergehen. Vielen Dank für euren Besuch!

Ho trovato molto interessante anche lo sfogo di colore violaceo che hanno avuto nella fase finale della fiioritura e che le hanno rese molto più intriganti, emanano un forte odore fruttato..
