Eternity Grow Cup - Week 11 VEG Report This is a pivotal week in our Eternity Grow Cup journey as we wrap up VEG and prepare to transition into FLOWER. Our goal has been to ensure that the plants are thriving and optimized for the next phase. This report will detail everything that took place during this crucial week. Mass Defoliation & Structural Training We began the week with an extensive defoliation session. Every leaf with a stem was removed to clear space for optimal light penetration and airflow. This process was done mostly by hand, clicking them off in the opposite direction of growth, while some stubborn ones were snipped with scissors. By the end, it felt like we had taken out nearly half a kilo of leaves! The room now looks clean, structured, and ready to fill out the ScroggNet. To further enhance the plant structure, branches were attached to the pots, allowing for better horizontal growth. This technique helps maximize canopy exposure and prepares the plants for even light distribution once flowering begins. Defoliation before flowering is a key step as it reduces overcrowding, improves airflow, and sets the plants up for efficient energy use in the next phase. Light Schedule & Adjustments This week, we introduced a subtle but effective light adjustment. While still maintaining an 18-hour light cycle, we initiated a 15-minute delay with the whites, allowing the reds to start first. This gradual shift signals the plants that a change is coming. Similarly, at the end of the light cycle, the whites turn off 15 minutes earlier, leaving the reds on for an extended period. This strategy mimics natural sunrise and sunset, helping the plants transition more smoothly into flowering. Additionally, at the end of the week, we will be implementing 48 hours of darkness before the official flip to flower. This method has worked exceptionally well in past grows, helping plants recognize the transition and encouraging a strong start to flowering. However, it's important to emphasize that this is a personal technique and not a universal rule. Every grower should experiment with different methods to find what works best for their specific environment. Environmental Conditions & Challenges Currently, our temperature is at 27°C with 60% humidity, resulting in a VPD of 1.50. While slightly higher than the ideal for VEG, our CO2 levels are over 1000 ppm, and the light intensity is at 570 PPFD, making it a manageable balance. The solution pH is 5.79 (essentially 5.8), EC is 1.38, and water temperature is 17.7°C. One challenge we are facing is maintaining optimal reservoir temperatures. Currently, it's a bit low at 17.7°C, and we are exploring solutions to raise it slightly. However, the medium temperature sits at 22.2°C, which is a good range. The humidifier is still in use, though it struggles to increase humidity further, so we are working with what we have to keep the VPD in check. ICL-300s Integration The ICL-300 lights are now fully active. Unlike the last grow, where we introduced them later, this time they are on from the start of flowering prep. This adjustment is an experiment to see if the plants respond better to an early introduction. Learning is at the core of this journey, and each grow offers new insights. Whether this proves to be the optimal strategy or not, it will be a valuable lesson for future grows. Week five has ended theyre plain sailing now enjoying the whole process two phenos are showing some hairs turning a vibrant orange and some purple colours starting to creep up in the leaves .... humidity is a bit high in the tent of late so I might do some defoliation to bring it down a bit ..... plants seem to be loving the whole environment tho Smells are starting to come through a lot better and a range from lime to fuel mash up some got just pure gas aswell with nothing else still waiting for some garlicky smells but none yet happy growing

Start of week Height = 50cm She has reached a total height of 50cm so far and have grown almost 20 cm in a week, her flowers are starting to grow all over, she really enjoys being under the Qboard. 13/02-2024 - Day 43 - Watered 2.8L 15/02-2024 - Day 45 - She is really growing and has reached 55 cm height, her flowers are starting to gain size aswell. 17/02-2024 - Day 47 - Watered 2,1L, my baby has reached 57 cm and damned she has ALOT of buds im really excited about this cutie 😍 19/02-2024 - Day 49 - End of week I had considered trying out defoliation on her, as i think she has grown very bushy and might spend energy on branches that wont produce any good yeild. i reconsidered due to the advices i got from my question. i will continue without defoliation and keep gently bending fanleaves so they dont block light. She has been growing a lil less taller this week than the previous, but her buds are starting to look nice, and they are ALL OVER her 😍 the first trichs are appearing. Height = 61cm

Day 15: Plants looking healthy as can be! I didn't make a rack for the lights but I got em in. Looks jankie, but I think its gonna work. 🙏 Day 16: Trying to work out kinks in my grow. Since I put the other 2 lights in, I'm now battling the heat and humidity. Switch the fans around. Got the cold air coming in down low. Will feed them in the morning. Day 17: The girls were showing signs of being thirsty this morning for sure! They received their first drain to waste watering. They will be getting some additional nutes on the next feeding (AN B-52, AN Sensizyme, AN CalMag Extra). Day 18: Looking amazing today! I tried my hand at a little LST. Wish the girls luck.!! 🙏 Tomorrow is the official 2 week mark from breaking ground. So, not sure. I've got the humidity finally dialed in at around 50-55% and the temp around 78°. Also gave them another drink as they were already dry about 1.5" down?? Day 19: This is the official 2 week mark. I think I stressed the girls pretty good yesterday, but they look to be recovered today. Should start seeing good growth in the day to follow. Will just be tucking a leaf here and there for a bit. I will being doing a straight water feed next with Great White. Day 20: Nothing new to report other than found 2 leaves that had some yellow mottling. I added Sensizyme, Recharge, and Great White to this feeding. Did not do drain to waste. Just watered the outside perimeter. PPM was 260 at 5.8 ph. Day 21: NO MORE NUTES for these girls! Tips on a couple of em are turning yellow!!! Stupid me. Over watering and giving too many nutes.

Esta semana fue tranquila. Voy a subir solo fotos del ultimo día de la semana, el día 49. Si se compara con la semana anterior, las ramas están creciendo a buen ritmo, a pesar de que las temperaturas en esta zona están bajando bastante. Alimente la planta con una solución de FPJ + LAB's en agua sin cloro, de manera que día de por medio alterno el riego entre esta solución y agua sin cloro. 😃 A pesar de que en esta zona la humedad ambiente es alta (50%-70%), aplico 2 o 3 veces por semana riego foliares con LAB's 1/1000. La planta lo agradece muchísimo y sus hojas se mantienen lindas y sanas. El olor que largan las hojas al tocarlas es casi frutado, riquísimo 😋. Me sorprende que tengan tan buen olor en vegetación. Esperamos en 2-3 semanas que las ramas hayan crecido lo suficiente para pasar la planta a floración. Cualquier consejo es bienvenido! Saludos!!

hello beautiful ones, they managed to enter flowering!! everything is going smoothly apart from a few insects... I think it's normal when you do them outdoors. They have been flowering for a week and continue to grow every day! DAJE ROMA DAJE

Big nugs I’m excited for end weight, looking at 1.5-2oz update after dry i had 66.5g or just over 2oz!!

The buds that are in the canope fatten up and i have some yellowing of the leaves Further Beneath the canope. Is it because they don't get the Light they need? Got some heat stress from the lamp on one of the colas. So i put the Light higher up and bended it Further away from from the lamp. It almost Has recovered, but the growth of the buds slowed down on that Cola. The Rest looks beautiful so i am fine with that.

3/25/21 - Today I fed with a little bit of Big Bloom. They really seem to respond well to it. 3/26/21 - They look great! No feeding today. I removed the humidity dome today. We are transplanting into the grow closet on 4/01/21. They will be in the grow closet until harvest under LED. 3/27/21 - Autopilot today. No feeding. I’ll feed tomorrow with more Big Bloom. They could be transplanted today but we are going to run the rest of this week. 3/28/21 - Fed with Big Bloom. All plants have roots coming out of the bottom of the cups. We’ll be moving them to 5 gallon fabric pots in a few days. 3/29/21 - No water today. They all look good. Transplant day is coming! 3/30/21 - I put some water in the tray so the plants could get water if needed. I don’t think they need any water today. 3/31/21 - I gave each plant a small feeding of Big Bloom. Tomorrow they will be transplanted into 5 gallon fabric pots of Fox Farm Ocean Forest and be given water for at least 2 weeks. See ya on week 4!

Hello again, The Shamans are doing great but the Criticalkushes are still not showing any signs of preflowering, therefore they might not finish properly in mid October. After that, it is to cold to have them outside. I can try to shorten the flowering proces for the criticalkushes but that will result into small buds. On the other side I rather have small full developed buds then big fluffy undeveloped buds with less thc on it. We will see how it goes. I started to notice some trips on my criticalkushes as well, not a major problem, just a few. So I have to get some Canna Cure again, The last bottle has been empty for a few weeks, which is just my fault, little bit lazy. Will get another bottle of Canna cure asap. It had been protecting my plants for weeks and it really worked alot. Besides that it kills of insects, it also give nutrients to the leafs which they really can use since I also spotted some minor things on the leafs. Until next week!
