Week 9 - First Week of Flowering 🌸 The dark period has ended, and these ladies came back into the light fully energized and ready for action! It’s just the first week of flower, and they’re all praying, stretching, and absolutely thriving—filling up every inch of the tent. This grow space is officially packed from wall to wall, with each plant competing for its share of light and showing off some of the biggest, healthiest leaves I’ve seen yet! 🌱 A few strategic plucks here and there have kept airflow smooth and light penetration balanced. Those big leaves? They’re a sign of happy, healthy growth. Large leaves help the plant capture maximum light energy, essential during this stage, especially as they start focusing on developing those flowers. When plants grow huge, vibrant leaves like these, it means they’re well-nourished and content in their environment—a true testament to the well-balanced conditions we’ve got going in the tent! Flowering Parameters 🌡️ Room Environment: • Temperature: 26.7°C • Humidity: 63.3% • CO2: 960 ppm • VPD: 1.29 kPa (prime zone for flowering health!) Lighting: • Light Intensity: 835 PPFD (ideal for boosting flower growth) • Solution: pH 5.96, TDS 460 ppm, temp 21.1°C • Medium: Moisture: 100%, TDS: 520 ppm, Temp: 21.6°C Carbon Filter Installation & Smell Management 🌬️🌱 With the transition to flower, the scent profile is already starting to kick in—crazy for the first week, right? 🌸 To keep everything fresh and under wraps, I’ve set up a carbon filter system. Here’s how it’s working: I’ve connected the filter to my Aerofan, which pulls air directly from the tent. This air is cleaned by the filter and released into the main room, where it then passes through another filter before exiting my space. This dual-filter setup means no scent escapes into the wild, keeping things stealthy and the grow room a peaceful, scent-contained environment. Perfect for anyone concerned about keeping their home free from that telltale aroma! 🕶️🌬️ Enhanced Lighting with Emerson Effect 🌞 This week, I’ve introduced an extra 15 minutes of red light at the beginning and end of each light cycle. Why? Well, this red boost taps into the Emerson effect, enhancing photosynthesis efficiency, especially during the flowering stage. By stimulating a little extra wake-up and wind-down light, we’re mimicking the natural sunrise and sunset experience for these plants, which can help reduce flowering time. Not only does it encourage smoother transitions into day and night, but in theory, it’ll help these ladies finish a bit faster, while giving them a little nudge to build more substantial, quality flowers. 🌇 Nutrient Adjustments 🌱 Now that we’re in flower, I’ve swapped out the Start Booster for P-Boost and TopBooster to specifically support flowering needs. Here’s why: • P-Boost brings in additional phosphorus, vital for energy transfer and cell division as the plant channels more resources into budding sites. • TopBooster supports the flowering phase by improving flower quality and density, helping to build those big, aromatic buds we’re after. Great smoke happy with end result

Sorry for the last 2 and a half weeks been ill , plants have been well and happy tho. Not long to go switched it up to 600w on the digital ballast now. Explode and pk and boost have been doing job. I have been keeping soil quite moist as this is a important stage to stay nourished and fed. Hopefully the stretch period is over now and we can fully put on some size. Be good and stay safe

More Flowering! The rest of the strains started to catch up, but nanners started showing in the hermies and TP started to overripen with orange hairs. I would've gone extra days if there were no nanners, but it wasn't worth it to risk seeding the nugs, I'll just have to settle with more larfy buds. Going to start flushing next week.

👉 This year, RQS launched 5 new regular strains. The seeds are packed with10 pieces. 38 seeds out of 50 turned out beautiful (see my previous diaries). 👉 Before I put the plants into bloom, I took 2 cuttings from each plant. As soon as I knew which were the female plants, I deleted the male plants and the corresponding clones. 👉 Now I am going to raise the cuttings and flower the female plants in 5 new diaries. This diary is about the Garlic Mists # 1, # 6, # 7.

The situation is starting to get super interesting also for our Zamnesia photoperiods, we have new and very different strains that are expressing themselves very well, Karen Kush, Test 1, Test 2, Cosmic Noodles and Runtz are already making my mouth water, it is the grass that I will be consuming during the magical Christmas and end of year periods, it must be done well to give me and those who are with me great trips. It is time to introduce you to two real monsters of size, I am having great difficulty keeping them under control, one forced me to change growbox because of how tall it was growing, monstrous internodal distance, giant leaves, guys with the XXXX test 2 we are in the Amazon. It is definitely one of those plants that if you do it outdoors it becomes bigger than the pine tree that has been there since you were a child. Never seen a plant grow like this, it seems like a slow flowering regular with the times of nature. I CAN SHOW OUT OF THE GROWBOX JUST THE TOPPED PLANT THE OTHER IS BIGGER THAN ME (190 ABOUT WITH THE POT) IMPOSSIBLE TO COME OUT TILL HARVEST. --- Plant 1- 3 flowering - You could see that it was a great plant from the beginning I said this is the one that makes the most impression in growth it was always ahead of all the others. Then slowly I realized that it would become a monster and I started to worry about the height. Now I can't do anything about it it's about 190 with the pot it's over 160 without from the trunk to the top and I can barely keep it in the 220cm growbox I don't know how to stop it I'm fimming even at the beginning of flowering because I don't know where to put it. My god it's huge it has a distance between internodes of about 12 cm I have to measure it better, monstrous sunbathing leaves and ALL THIS IN AN 11 LITRE POT. It's a plant to grow with indoor topping, do it and you won't have to drill holes in the roof of the growbox like I'll have to do soon. The negative side, if we can call it that, is that it's a bit slow in flowering, so let's wait 10/12 weeks, the classic 8 don't seem to be going well, here we are at the first hairs, the others are already very advanced. --- Plant 2 - fortunately I decided to do topping once, not as I like in the main lining style, but at a certain point I cut the center and left other branches at the bottom, the result here is still beyond the lines of the average size but it is more manageable. Always very healthy and slow in flowering, like regular, let's see how long it takes them. ---- Fertilization program - The two plants are super voracious, they both drink 2 liters a day of the fertilization program at the beginning of flowering of the personalized Plagron card. Dec 26/Day 16.25 @5pm: LST begins and at 8pm 1 top leaf defoliated for light penetration. Dec 26 @10pm: Turned bloom lights off (cobs) and left veg lights on. Lowered lighting to 12". Broke her main stalk and taped it. EEEE Giving her a short break from the heat and time to stretch while I LST her. Her humidity levels are up around 54-60% with cobs off and humidifier running. Dec 27/Day 17 @4:20pm: Both cob and veg lights are on again and the light hangs 12" above. Dec 27 @9:30pm: Watered her with 2.5L at a PH of 6.56, soaking the whole pot through for the first time. PH runoff was 6.71 This week, I started watering daily with 0.4L and by week end about 0.75L at PH 6.6-6.7

Day 120- Day 72- 11/11 - Still just giving that liter of plain, non pH'd RO water every morning. - Again, not checking ppms in or out anymore, she's ready Day 121- Day 73- 11/12 - Gave 1 liter of water Day 122- Day 74- 11/13 - Gave her last liter of water this morning - Tis her last day! Will cut this evening.

Getting super fat, calyx's have started turning a bit purple. Was concerned it was bud rot, inspected with jewelers loupe. Seems fine, will watch closely. I have cloudy trichromes, no ambers yet.

August 23: Just finishing up about 36 hours of darkness, then I'm going to wash the buds, then hang them. Harvesting a bit early due to time constraints but it looks good. The smell is very dank, not a tropical skittles smell, much more like wood glue as I've seen mentioned in other reviews, although I'm starting to occasionally catch a sweeter tropical scent as well. I wanted to leave it a little longer. There were still a lot of white hairs when I started the dark period, but a lot of them seem to have developed into swollen calyxes so I'm pretty happy. I was a little worried they were making seed pods after last time, but I broke one open and all that was inside was red hairs. I'm going to keep an eye on the RH while they're drying and get them into jars and try to wait as long as possible before I start sampling. I can tell this is one of those batches that's going to get better and better if left alone for a couple months. Just did the wash, did 1.25 cups of 34% food grade H202 and a squeezed lemon in a 5 gal bucket. Another bucket of just water to rinse. Then I had a fan on it while hanging in the sunlight from a skylight in the bathroom for 30 min, then put the fan further back and on oscillate, then turned it down an hour later. Left it in there for a few hours, then hung it in the grow tent with everything removed except an oscillating fan, pointed away from the buds. I have the whole plant hanging in the middle of the tent and the tent is holding at 60% rh. Next run I'm going to do 2 buckets and only top once. I might leave them a bit longer in veg too to maximize the height in my grow space, and I'll get a proper 500w bulb instead of continuing to run 1000w bulbs at 50% to lower the heat a bit. The weather will be cooler and I'll only run one air stone in each bucket which should help with res temp. I'll probably foil-wrap the buckets again as well. I should be able to get another run done by the end of the year. I have a White Widow fem seed I've been waiting to use but I'm not sure what else I want to grow yet. Maybe Granddaddy Purp. I'll take some micro pics of the trichomes this week and start curing, and I'll post a proper review in a couple weeks. Happy growing everyone! August 24: I took it out of the tent to inspect. No mold or mildew. The middle of some buds are still pretty wet. I'll keep an eye on it. Wet weight on the stem is 158 grams/ 5.5oz. I harvested a couple branches last week and hung them up. I just ground up one of the buds, left it overnight and vaped some today. There was a bit of Chemdawg Tangerine in the grinder already but overall I got a lot of thick vapour, instant effects, and a really great tropical taste. I busted out the microscope camera and I realized I had a couple buds that fell off before I washed the plant in the H202, and a couple buds that came off in the washing process. It doesn't look like washing the buds took off any of the trichomes. I do seem to find less debris in the buds, not that there was much there before. The trichs look great. Just a light toasting of amber. The washed bud actually seems more dry than the unwashed bud. August 25: there's a real chlorophyll smell coming from the drying room today, it was much terpier yesterday. Leaves are getting crunchy, stems are still fully bendy. I ended up taking it down in the evening. The drying room rh dropped from 60% to 55% and the buds were starting to look too dry based on my last grow. I put it all in a paper bag for the night and I'll put it in jars tomorrow morning. Broken down most of the way it came out to 48-49 grams. From the bud structure, I definitely feel like it would have benefitted from more grow time if I didn't have to travel. More to come. August 26 - the edges of the buds are getting really crispy and the buds are getting tighter. I checked the paper bag earlier and it was 65-70%. I got the impression it was time to put it into jars. I'll keep the lids off for a bit.
