Hello Diary. I am very happy that we are starting again. I’m going back to Automatics again. Many thanks to Royal Queen Seeds for sending me two of their new strains, Green Gelato Automatic and HulkBerry Automatic. So this is the first of two new diaries. WHY GREEN GELATO AUTOMATIC? Green Gelato Automatic is the autoflowering version of a legendary cannabis variety. The original strain is the lovechild of Thin Mint Cookies and Sunset Sherbet. LET THE DIARY START OFFICIALLY: 10/06/2020. planting. I have prepared everything I need for planting. The 11lit fabric pot I got from RQS, also Organic Boost Nutrition and Mycorrhizza from RQS, Soil is Light-Mix from BioBizz and of course the seed of the new strain Green Gelato Automatic. After adding 50g of pellets from Organic Nutrition and 5g of Mycorrhizze, I mixed everything well in the pot. After that I watered well and soaked the soil, I dug a hole with a wooden stick about 2-3 cm, I first put 1g of mycorrhize and then put the seeds inside. I lightly covered the hole with earth and put the pot in his new home. The temperature was about 25 degrees and the humidity about 65%. 14/06/2020. She sprouted. After 4 days, Green Gelato came out. In the meantime, I sprayed the surface of the earth a little twice. The temperature is still around 26 degrees, thanks to the summer and the high temperature that enters the apartment anyway. It is developing nicely, its conditions are almost perfect. Green Gelato will also have two roommates in the box, HulkBerry Automatic. Week 8 Veg – Go Big or Go Home! 🌱💪 Hey, Grow Fam! 🌿 What an intense week it’s been in the grow room! This was one of those “go big or go home” moments, and I decided to take it to the extreme. I’m holding off on flipping to flower for just one more week because the plants are filling up the space beautifully—I can’t help but push things to their limits and see just how much these ladies can give! 😎✨ This week was all about maximizing growth and creating the best canopy I can. I did a light defoliation, just here and there to open things up a bit, and then came the bending—LOTS of bending. 🌱 I’m working hard to create an even canopy, though with all these different genetics, we’ll see how close I get! 🤞 Regardless, I’m giving it my all, and I’m super pumped to see how everything will respond in the next stage. The final touch this week? I ended it with a bold 36 hours of darkness to prepare for the big flip next week—flower mode, here we come! 🌸 What Went Down This Week: 1. Canopy Work – Bending and training all over the place to try and keep things even. It’s a real challenge with different genetics, but the payoff is going to be worth it! 2. Defoliation – Just a little bit of leaf removal here and there to help with airflow and light penetration, prepping them for that final veg stretch. 3. 36 Hours of Darkness – Closed out the week with a full day and a half of darkness. The 36 hours of darkness is a technique I like to use to help signal to the plants that it’s time to transition from veg to flower. 🌒 By giving them an extended dark period, I’m mimicking the natural shift from summer to fall, when daylight hours start to shorten. This kick-starts the plants’ flowering hormones (phytochrome), helping them shift into flower mode more smoothly and quickly. In my experience, this method helps speed up the flip, reduces early flowering stress, and often leads to a more uniform bloom across the canopy. It’s like giving the plants a little nudge to let them know, “Hey, it’s time to bloom!” 🌸 This technique is especially useful for growers like me who want to maximize the efficiency and performance of their plants. 😊 4. Jun 10: Getting droopy. Watered less than half gallon of Ph 6.7 water. Jun 12: That watering really gave a growth spurt! Gonna bump the humidity up to a max of 81% til we get further into veg. Jun 13: Plant is tall enough to tie some good looking limbs down and also the main stem to the side. Jun 15: Buckets are getting lighter, but the soil is moist, meaning my humidity was too high. That lead to some mold and algae that I will treat with spray Neem oil. Smells terrible, but should do the trick. Lowering humidity to 65% for a bit, then will probably get closer to 75% over the next few days.

I like the result a lot ! Not a lot of colas, but really big buds. As I thought moon rock strain could be all white, but it is simple strain, smells like a gasoline and garbage, not anything fruity or juicy But very beautiful !

Even though I made some big (rookie) mistakes, she's really forgiving and with the right care I'm sure she can grow out to be a proper monster. No bugs, mold, mildew or anything that was a reason for panic. I started flushing too soon and completely stopped her growth, a wise lesson. Because she was harvested a little too soon there is more of a head high instead of a body stone and depending on my mood I like it that way. She's supposed to be a heavy hitter but because of the early harvest she's a good companion during the day and will actually allow you to have a normal, fun conversation. So in conclusion, i'm pretty happy with 127 grams of harvest for a first proper grow using a self made 200W LED growlight and DWC setup. More plants will be grown, thats for sure. Overall she grew good. No harsh reactions so I'm happy to put some bud in the jar. She vegged out 20cm and got to 35-38cm and finished with a lovely fade. Amazing scents. (More to come after some review next month. This pheno gets 9☆ the other 10☆ as the yield on my last Highcloudz was like 3-4x. But the buds are of a much higher grade. So, its a very high rating. Just sad there's not much of it. In saying that, now that you can change the rating I've no doubts I'll be giving it a 10 upon my smoke review.. I've fems left so ill be doing a SOG soon and this fem will defo be in it. 15+3-4 grams i quick dried. This defo needs a cure. The taste is so confusing, I get the scents of watermelon, typical zkittlez smell with a twist, the confusing part. Is f there's different smells coming from different buds. Smoking there is a very light panty taste. Very stoney, uplifting, very happy with when I harvested. Has much more of an energetic buzz with a nice mellow high. Very strong but not couch locking so things can be done. It kinda puts me in the zone. Been one of my smaller harvests. I have 2g left to keep out for 2moro day, I'll be putting this on 4-6 week cure. I'm gonna leave it out for another 12hrs or so. The stuff that came off the stems just now is very very slightly till wet. It would be able to put into the cure jar, but would need a lot more burping. So, id rather leave it to dry out properly and I'll burp every 12hrs, leave lid of for 4-5m and after a week, I'll slowly start burping it less. Knowing how weed dries you really can't set times on curing you go with how the weed feels. There is no hay smell. (I didn't have any worries about a hay smell. My drying room is 15c and 60-63% RH.

Welcome to week 7 growmies! She’s doing great in her second week of flowering! She is still stretching and got a bigger defoliation at the end of week 6. For the start she’s getting only ph regulated water from top and some nutrients from bottom. There a little signs on the leaf tip why I skip nutrients for one watering cycle. On mid of week 7 she’s still stretching and first orange pistils shown up. On weekend she’s getting another defloration and another round of nutrients. We are finishing week 7 shortly! She was defoliated once again to ensure more light density in lower conopy. She’s doing still great and she’s not showing any signs of stress or leak of nutrients. It seems that she’s also stopped stretching. Looking forward to the next weeks!
