Welcome to my Fast Buds sponsored shootout and living organic soil v coco side by side. I also plan to use this grow to my full advantage regarding a few age old nagging questions about methods. I have had a keen interest in L.O.S ( supersoil) since reading a few threads a while back on how amazing and productive it can be. After too much research and procrastinating I had to give it a go. I have been a decades coco/nft grower and recently threw my hat in the rdwc ring too. I have avoided soil due to the overwatering worry ( heavy handed chimp brain !) and the best potting soil/feeds. Catching up on the advances in indoor soil gardening and organics led me too subcools supersoil recipes to name a few but being a town dweller with farms everywhere around me still drew blanks on a lot of the ingredients needed and where the hell I could even begin to get them from. Thankfully , commercial savvy has now made buying it in ready to use and with a full range of beneficial bacteria ect available in amendments from a grow shop here in the uk. ecothrive have realised the potential for us to dive into this medium with all the mixing , measuring and resourcing. I bit the bullet and £150 later I now have 4 x37Litre pots that will be used for as long as I want to feed the soil for without EVER needing nutrients again potentially. The coco has also had charge mixed in to encourage the bennies to colonize there too. I will be using the shogun nutes that I know do the business with coco to compare with for yield , growth and taste. I have 3 seeds each of 4 Fast Buds Strains to use as a control for the grow and am journaling each strain in their own diaries. This statement will be used to start each one as the information is identical at this point but following this I will do them individually. I am now starting their second week since opening the seed packets , straight into soaked and shook root riot cubes and into the heated propagator. They had all showed their heads by end of day 3 and a couple needed helmet surgery to open up without being hindered . I have has them in the prop for a few days but they needed to get settled as they were popping roots out all over the cubes. They have now been in their final pots for 2 days complete and starting their 3rd today at day 8 since planting in cubes. I am impressed with the speed and success of these girls already (12 of 13 germinated) . Well done fast buds. So here we go folks , any comments , ideas ,questions , advice are always welcome and I hope we can have some fun experimenting with defol v non defol , topping v fimming v bending and any other curiosities along the way. Le piante alla fine della 1 settimana di fioritura sono state defogliate e ripulite dai rami inferiori e dalle foglie a ventaglio, ora avranno più spinta alla fioritura nei siti importanti cioè quelli più in alto ed esposti maggiormente alla luce. I fiori iniziano ad ingrossarsi, ho iniziato a dare una dose massiccia di Canna Flores, azoto fosforo e potassio a volontà. Aggiungerò alla miscela di fertilizzanti il Pk 13/14 durante la 4 settimana di fioritura per dare ancora maggiore spinta alla produzione e all ingrossamento dei fiori. Per il momento è tutto, a 7 giorni per un nuovo aggiornamento ✌️🏻💚

Day 56 of flower. The cookies is fattening very well. I Will start the flush this week because kannabia's schedule says this strain flower in 56-63 days but i Will flower this lady at least till day 70. The smell seems day by day more citrus-like.

It's done...another one chopped. What a challenge this one. If you follow my grows, you know I love Royal Queen Seeds. I consistently have the best result with RQS strains, plus their services are always great. That being said I had much expectation for this Strain. What can I say... for the good point, it smells very sweet, fruity and yields giant long cola, fuuuulll of flower, very sticky and faty faty. . So densily packed that comes with some issues. First its always demanding for more K, a lot of top leaves yellowing that was hard to control. A long flower period for an auto and it suffered a lot with bud rot ( white mold, not the black one) It was a first to me. Tried everything from cutting parts to h202 direct on top of the damaged areas but with no success. That being said I've lost a lot of flower because of it and had to cut at least a week sooner than I wanted.. I will face this challenge again in a near future. The plant without the root ball weighed 1.2kg. It's drying know, so let's wait to see what we got... Overall one of the most productive plants I've tried, as one of the biggest buds I've seen in these colas. Thank you James and RQS for all the support. I love these hybrid and Indica leaves their just satisfying but this strawberry has been growing nicely and I can’t wait till she’s fully grown.

The plants colors looked great and the trenchomes were at about 20-30% amber and the 70-80% milky. The smell is amazing and I can not wait to see how the end product ends up.

I saw some Thrips on the plant, i will be getting a pesticide for them, shouldn’t be causing a lot of problems other than a bit of “snail trail” and yellowing. I watered a gallon with the above nutrients. Water pH 6.5 Water runoff pH 6.3 I checked the ppm for the first time, water was 855 runoff was 1010, which means there is salt buildup around the roots, i will flush it next watering. Buds are growing well, no issues with growth other than the yellowing of the leaves.

This beautiful lady is stacking so nicely. She has a main cola about 10’inches long! All the satellite buds are coming in nice too, lots of light penetration. I lowered the CalMag a little too early as some older, lower leaves are showing a slight magnesium deficiency, will correct at next feed. Happy growing 🇨🇦❤️🌱😎💨

Seeds were soaked until the taproot was showing then placed into peat plugs. They stayed in here for 5 days in total, 2 days after the had popped so I classed it as a whole week. They were then placed into they’re final homes, 23 litre fabric pots

The buds are spread everywhere and they are nice and frosty in next 2 weeks she will get fat.

Week 4 day 2 since i start germination, and i think they are evolving quite ok. CS1 is for now the queen in all aspects, shes the stronger, the most beautiful formation with no problems what so ever , CS2 is following and CS 3 also but with mutant leaves all over her, i will however keep giving her love and dedication, mb in the end she compensate with some beautiful flowers 🤞 As for the Tropicannas, TP2 its an amazing girl, no mutations and growing as it should, TP1 is recovering fast from her accident 😅🤞 and she is on the way to become a strong and beautiful girl.
