1/11 - debating Scrog or no Scrog. I think it will be more trouble than just training with the rubber wire 1/12 - can't keep my hands off, but exercised moderation. I restrained 2 of the shoots off of the biggest top, im letting the others grow out so I can get a better grip. The stems are getting so fat!! 1/14 - feeding today 2L distilled water 1060ppm 5.9pH 72.5*F GROW 3g Kelp 0.25g Cal/Mag 0.54g ominA 0.55g Microbes Grow Stage 2g Enzymes 0.14g 1/15 - She's starting be to a really big bush! I need her to grow out a bit so I can let her grow up and then move to flower. Update: worked on spreading out all of the tops to the edges of the pot. She is perfect! 1/16 - shss back to full bush after l trained her last night. Forming up exactly the way I was hoping. She will be massive short stack 1/17 - did a decent defoliation of some of the larger fan leaves blocking light and air opening up the smaller tops. I also bound the main tops further out to the edges of the pot. She is definitely going to be massive!! feeding today 2L distilled water 1090ppm 6.0pH 69*F GROW 3.15g Kelp 0.21g Cal/Mag 0.56g ominA 0.55g Microbes Grow Stage 2.02g Enzymes 0.13g Update: she already recovered most of the canopy 4 hours after the dedoliation!

Week 2 begins, not much to report other than the pro-mix HP hasn't dried out enough to warrant another feeding.

So I'm starting to think it's a male. But..... I do know it a photo and not a auto. So it may take a little longer to actually flower since it growing out side I can't control the light so I have to wait and see🤞🏾🤷‍♂️🏿

Week 9 | Forbidden Runtz Auto | Flowering Week 9 and the Forbidden Runtz is deep into flower. Height locked at 70cm — she's done stretching and is putting everything into bud production now. Compact plant, but don't let the size fool you. The main cola is stacking hard, calyx on calyx with barely any gap between nodes, and the trichome coverage is already thick across both the buds and the surrounding sugar leaves. Up close the whole top half is frosted. Side branches are following the same pattern — dense, resinous, well-developed bud sites all the way down. She's the smallest of the outdoor run this season, but she's also one of the earlier ones to commit fully to flower and push resin this aggressively at this stage. A compact, efficient plant that's clearly prioritizing quality over size. Conditions stable: 16h natural light, 2L per plant per 24h, pH 6.2, EC 1.4 mS/cm, 60% humidity, 25°C day / 18°C night. Nutrient stack unchanged: CANNA Aqua Flores A+B at 3ml/l each, CalMag Agent 0.9ml/l, Plagron Green Sensation 0.5ml/l, Aptus Regulator 0.1ml/l. Updates every Sunday. Stay tuned.

Hola amigo!

13th - Checked the power usage data from the AC unit and the Smart logs: around the time heat stress on #1 occurred the AC barely turned on. New zigbee sensor is working well it seems! CO2 tank is almost completely empty. I lost a fair bit from a few incidents I suppose, maybe a lot more than I thought!?.. ..want to look into stopping CO2 when AC is running with smart power switch and app. 14th - CO2 tank depleted. Setup smart plug on CO2 regulator, works fairly well. Occasionally stays on for a bit more than it should, but then self corrects. I can take that as an improvement.. 15th 16th - Replenished water tank - TDS 650 , gave both a good soak, runoff was 1200 initially and eventually down to 800. 17th - Concerned about density - have clipped several sappy buds growing into already thick areas - hoping to improve ventilation within the canopy. Rotated the pots a bit and adjusted the tie downs.

Hey friends, little plant update. All three doing very well and the smell from this plants already coming in very nice. The Rainbow Melon (in the front of the tent) was stretching a bit higher than the papaya sherbert (left back corner) and the Gorilla Melon (right back corner) so i installed a scrog net and maintained the canopy between them.

No more work on the bigger 🧠 I'm going to change the water within today and run it for 12-24h and then put only bloom nutes 🚀 ________________________________ 📅 D51/F12 - 13/10/23 🛠️ EC 1.3 (by set up) pH 5.5 🌊 New water, calmag, bloom A and B and B52 💼 Removed all LST constraints on the big one. Some spouts removed from the little one. Some defolation 🧠 All training was removed now I will let her grow normally 🚀 ________________________________ 📅 D52/F13 - 14/10/23 🛠️ EC 1.0 (falling) pH 6 (rising) -- EC 1.3 pH 6.1 🌊 No water added. 💜 Purple Haze by Zamnesia – Pheno B Week 5 | Small in Height, Big in Character Welcome back to another chapter of the 8×8 Adventure! One of my favourite parts of running a multi-phenotype hunt is watching each plant develop its own personality. Today’s spotlight belongs to Purple Haze – Pheno B, a plant that may not be the tallest in the room but is certainly one of the fullest. While her sister has been reaching for the sky with long internodes and elegant structure, this lady has chosen a completely different path. She’s staying compact. She’s staying bushy. And she’s absolutely beautiful because of it. ⸻ 🌱 The Journey So Far For anyone joining this diary for the first time, welcome! This entire project is being grown using the 12/12 From Seed method. Instead of allowing a traditional vegetative period, every seed was placed under a 12-hour light / 12-hour dark cycle from the very first day. The objective is to compare how different genetics—and even different phenotypes from the same variety—express themselves when grown under identical conditions. Every plant shares: • The same environment • The same lighting • The same feeding schedule • The same climate • The same care The only thing changing is the genetics. Purple Haze Pheno B is another perfect reminder that even sisters can grow into completely different individuals. ⸻ 🌿 A Compact Beauty Standing at around 69 cm, she’s just slightly shorter than her sister, but the difference in structure is immediately noticeable. Rather than stretching upwards, she’s invested her energy into building a dense, leafy canopy packed with healthy growth. She’s become one of the bushiest plants in the room. Every branch is surrounded by large, vibrant fan leaves that give the plant a full and vigorous appearance. Instead of chasing height, she’s building substance. It’s a completely different expression of the same genetics, and it’s fascinating to watch. ⸻ 🍃 Leaf Tucking to Open the Canopy With such dense growth, this week focused heavily on leaf tucking. Instead of removing healthy foliage, large fan leaves were carefully repositioned to expose developing branches underneath. This simple technique improves airflow while allowing more light to reach the future flowering sites without sacrificing valuable photosynthetic surface. The result is a plant that remains lush and healthy while giving every branch the opportunity to develop. Sometimes patience and gentle guidance achieve more than aggressive pruning. ⸻ 🌸 The First Steps Into Flower Although she’s a little behind some of the other ladies in the room, she’s now clearly entering that exciting transition between vegetative growth and flowering. Fresh pistils are beginning to appear. New growth has changed shape. The tops are starting to build. Whether we call it pre-flower or the very beginning of flower, the important part is that she’s moving forward beautifully. There has never been any rush in this project. Every phenotype follows its own pace, and that’s exactly what makes documenting each one so rewarding. ⸻ 💧 Hand-Fed With Care Unlike some of her neighbours, this Purple Haze is not growing in an AutoPot system. Every watering is done by hand, allowing me to closely monitor her development and adjust as needed. Current nutrition includes: • Terra Grow • Terra Bloom • Pure Zym • Sugar Royal • Power Roots • Power Buds • pH adjustment for optimal nutrient availability She’s responding very well to the feeding program, maintaining deep green foliage, healthy growth, and plenty of energy as she begins her flowering journey. ⸻ 🌡️ Stable Conditions, Happy Plants Like every plant in this room, Purple Haze Pheno B continues growing under carefully controlled environmental conditions. Current grow room conditions include: • Day temperature: 31.1°C • Night temperature: 25°C • Relative humidity: 72% • Solution temperature: 24.2°C • Root zone temperature: 21°C • CO₂ concentration: 636 ppm Maintaining consistent environmental conditions allows every phenotype to express its own natural characteristics without unnecessary external variables influencing the results. ⸻ 📷 This Week’s Gallery This week’s photographs really capture the personality of this phenotype. The studio shots showcase her compact, rounded structure, while the close-ups reveal healthy new growth emerging from every corner of the canopy. The overhead photographs make it easy to appreciate just how dense she’s becoming, with broad fan leaves creating a thick blanket of vibrant green. The leaf-tucking work is also clearly visible, opening small windows of light throughout the plant and encouraging future flowering sites to develop evenly. The room updates continue documenting the environment shared by all the ladies in this project, helping tell the complete story behind the grow. ⸻ 🔮 Looking Ahead The next couple of weeks should be incredibly interesting. Now that she’s entering flower, I’m curious to see whether she’ll begin stretching like her sister or continue building this wonderfully compact architecture. Either outcome would be exciting. Right now, she’s developing exactly the way a healthy, vigorous plant should. The foundations are there. Now it’s time to see how she transforms them into flowers. ⸻ 💚 Thank You Thank you so much for following another chapter of this 8×8 Adventure. Every diary tells a different story, and sharing the unique personality of each phenotype is one of the most enjoyable parts of this journey. A huge thank you to: 💚 GrowDiaries for providing an incredible platform where growers from around the world can learn, inspire one another, and document every stage of their grows. Zamnesia for providing the genetics that make this phenotype hunt possible. 🌱 Plagron for supplying the nutrition supporting these plants from seed to harvest. 💡 Future of Grow LED for delivering the light that powers this room every single day. 🌿 TrolMaster for helping maintain a stable environment throughout the entire project. And finally, thank you to everyone following these diaries, leaving comments, asking questions, and sharing this adventure with me. Every phenotype deserves its own moment to shine, and Purple Haze Pheno B is proving that sometimes the biggest personalities don’t always belong to the tallest plants. Growers Love and her story is only just beginning. 💜🌿

I’ve got some curling going on. Have been trying to get temp humidity stable so I got a humidity controller and now run lights on timer 6 hrs off. Also my humidity gauge I used to set in the middle of the tent but I now put directly in the pot behind the plant and different readings. It’s one of those cheap humidity temp gauges that comes with led lights. Just need to get this curling thing down. 1 of the plants shows no curl so maybe it’s the fox farm soil is too hot. Or maybe that 1plant got better plant coverage, I’ve since adjusted the fan and may get another one.
