I decided to start flushing #1 and #3 Gator breath plants, since they already have good sugar and sizes, leaves are dark purple or yellow-brown. I will keep feeding #2 Gator Breath and both Total Eclipse plants, they are looks like need more time to form good sugar buds. Thanks for reading and folowing, cheers.

Aug 2: Mimosa Shot is hitting her stride now. She didn’t like the cooler temperatures as much as Sunday Punch EV, for example, but she’s loving this hot start to August. Aug 3: done with force flowering and will now just leave her in the yard. So, back up to 15.5 h of daylight here now. Still using far red light at dusk. Aug 6: Mimosa Shot has stretched again, likely mostly due to 3 days of hot weather.

Week 8: Day 50-53: Things are looking ok here, could be better. Still assuming my soil is too acidic certain nutrients to lock out. I now believe what I thought was a calmg deficiency on 4AM#1 was actually a phosphorous lockout in combination with the aforementioned calmg. Day 50 I watered with PH 6.5 and got runoff around 5.5 PH. 4AM#3 was visibly worse off, and no real improvements to the other 2 either(both had signs of calmg deficiency in combination with various other small deficiencies it seemed like). Day 54-56: Seeing no real improvements in any of the 3 plants I decided I would flush them on with 6.5 PH'd water only with regulator until runoff read atleast 6PH. After about 4-5L the runoff was 6+PH, seemed to me like there was a slight build up in the bottom so the first 3L cleared that up quite nicely(runoff was around 5.7). I then fed them 2-2.5L feeding of calmg and regulator with some Biocanna Boost PD'd to 6.5 immediately after flushing. Runoff was pretty much 6.3-6.5 on all plants at this point. I think I am happy with the results of the small flush, this IS my first time indoors(last summer first time was outdoor and I never really dealt with deficiences), so not sure if what I did was correct, I just went with my gut feeling here. Anyway on day 56 now and they haven't gotten any worse, and the leaves feel healthier to the touch. Also seem to be liking the addition of the 150W COB, also decided to lower the lights and see if they could take it(they could). End of Week 8: I don't think I will get more much bulk on 4AM#1 but daaamn is she frosty as hell. 4AM#2 on the other hand is bulking up real nice, those are going to be some fat buds! And 4AM#3 seems to be a slower finishing pheno and seems like she will bulk up loads more, going to be a beast I reckon if the deficiencies didn't stunt her from the last 2 weeks(leaves felt dry and showed yellowing and spots, but are doing better and feel better after the flush).

Howdy, So this last week has been about learning, quickly. Plant 2 has been suffering from yellowing, I noticed that at first it was a darker green than plant 1 - (first signs of Mg deficiency I have since learned). As plant 1 was doing so well until a few days ago, I originally assumed that plant 2 was just a bit of a slacker. I think basically it is more susceptible to PH differences than plant 1. First mistake was not knowing about the benefits of PH range... What I did not know earlier in the week is that Mg and Ca are only absorbed efficiently at 6.0 and above, my OCD kicked in and I refused to let the PH wander above 5.7; as from what I have read in forums, 5.7 is the sweet spot. Main lesson from last week is that I'm not going to be so anal about PH levels, I will let the PH rise to 6.3 before I drop it back down to 5.7, this will give the plants and window of time to grab hold of some well deserved CalMag before I drop it back down so it can retrieve some Mn and P if it needs any. My plants told me they were in need of Calcium over a week ago, but I naively thought that maybe I spilled a droplet of water on one of the leaves, and that caused it to burn. As I was adding CalMag+ to the solution when I replenished the reservoir. My second mistake was panicking... After realising above, I bombed the nutrient solution with 35ml of Cal Mag, bringing up the PPMS to 460, this subsequently gave the strongest plant nutrient burn. On top of this, I gave both plants a foliage spray during lights out with some diluted CalMag as well. So anyway, the main thing I have learnt is when the plants are ill, its probably best to take it easy, do a res swap at the very worst and concentrate on my PH levels first before throwing more variables into the fray. Positive notes: Plants 1 & 2 is now working on their 5th node, I know I am technically allowed to top at this point, but I am going to wait until they are working on their 7th before doing anything, this way I will be able to tell if the new growth is looking healthy, and my investigations are correct. I have now installed a Hailea 150a, with a submersible pump, this is now keeping the reservoir at 20ºc and its keeping the nutrients well mixed, I'll post a video later this week showing the set up. The roots at the top look a little dark, but I have done a sniff test and they don't smell at all, I think it is just where some of the tea has built up where the bubbles meet the air. Roots do seem rather large, maybe they have stretched so far looking for Mg and Ca :P Decided against increasing PPMS, going to do another week, so 5 weeks veg, gives the ladies some time to recover. Trimmed the burns off of leaves mainly so I can keep a track to see if damage is continuing. Anyways, I hope the above makes sense and draws other newbies attention towards PH ranging for hydro; I have posted a pic which shows the PH range for each important element. Thanks! 😊

Tag 29: 🌱: Beginn Woche 5.

Mango Kush – Week 1 Flower (Week 5 from Seed) Stretch, sibling rivalry, and fine-tuning the environment Grower: Dog Doctor Strain: Mango Kush – Pheno #1 & Pheno #2 Light Systems: • ThinkGrow Model One LED (main canopy) • ThinkGrow ICL300 (inner canopy lighting) • Black Series 600W LED (shared space) Ecosystem: TrolMaster-controlled, partially hand-watered ⸻ 🌸 First Week Flower – Stretch Mode Engaged We’ve flipped the Mango Kush girls into flower, and while there are still no visible pre-flowers yet, the stretch has begun. • Pheno #1: Already tall and well-structured, pushing into her 8th–9th node with strong lateral branching. • Pheno #2: Started later, but is rapidly catching up—shorter internodes, lush leaves, and a determination to match her sister in size before flowers set. 📸 Both got a full studio photo session this week—looking flawless and healthy from every angle. ⸻ 🌡️ Current Conditions • Room Temp: 31°C (a bit high, AC incoming) • Humidity: 50.3% • VPD: 2.23 kPa • PPFD: 766 µmol/m²/s • Soil EC: ~2.0 • Soil Temp: 25.6°C • Watering: Daily (when soil dries to ~25% moisture) ⸻ ⚠️ High Temperature Talk – Risks & Rewards Risks: • Higher temps speed up transpiration, meaning the plants take in water and nutrients faster, which can cause imbalances if not monitored. • Combined with high VPD, temps can push plants close to stress thresholds. Benefits (if managed well): • Boosted metabolism → faster stretch and branch growth before bud set. • With CO₂ at ~632 ppm, plants can tolerate slightly warmer temps without losing photosynthetic efficiency. 💡 Plan: An AC unit is on the way to lock temps into the sweet flower range of 26–28°C. ⸻ 💧 Why Daily Watering Works Here In these conditions, the Mango Kush girls are drinking daily. Letting the medium dry to about 25% before rewatering helps: 1. Prevent overwatering – Roots get oxygen between feedings. 2. Keep nutrients stable – Avoiding EC spikes/drops. 3. Match plant demand – Giving them exactly what they’re ready to drink. Nutrients remain tat Aptus Holland recipe, now for flower, just with slightly increased volume to match their thirst. ⸻ 🌱 Sibling Rivalry – Pheno #2’s Big Push Pheno #2 may have started late, but she’s been stacking nodes and leaves like she’s got something to prove. At this rate, she might hit flower at nearly the same size as her big sister. This will be a fun side-by-side to watch—same genetics, different timelines. ⸻ 💡 Inner Canopy Lighting – ThinkGrow ICL300 We’ve installed the ICL300, a bar-style LED designed to sit inside the canopy. Why it matters for Mango Kush: • Better Lower Buds – More intensity to shaded sites → denser flowers. • Even Growth – Less height difference between top and bottom buds. • Efficient Canopy Use – Every branch gets a fair shot at the light. In multi-strain grows, inner canopy lights help prevent the smaller plants from being overshadowed, literally. ⸻ 🔮 What’s Next • AC arrives → temps stabilize → optimal VPD range. • Expect pre-flower pistils to appear in the next 7–10 days. • Watch Pheno #2’s progress—will she match #1 before the stretch is over? • Continue using ICL300 to fill out the lower canopy for more even bud development. ⸻ 📣 Thank you for following the Mango Kush journey! 12/19/2022: Chopped the Strawberry Gushers today. Not much to update on the other two. Still fading and starting to show a small amount of amber tricomes for both. Hope to get a couple more weeks out of these. 12/20/2022 (day 87 from germination): gave both 1 liter of water mixed with ThermX-70, FishShit, coconut powder, and BuildABloom. 12/22/2023: another watering about one liter for the two remaining - Orange Bubblegum and Newberry. Mainly used a neem cake and mosquito bit tra, with some ThermX-70. There are very few fungas gnats again, but still trying not to let them get out of control again. Both plants are seriously fading, but still not enough amber tricomes to harvest yet. Would still like to go another week or two, but I will be scoping daily at this point. The smell of both the plants is insane. The Orange Bubblegum smells like Orange arm pits, and the Newberry still smells like fruity pebbles, with some funk as well. 12/24/2022: gave each plant 1 liter of water with ThermX-70 and some mosquito bit tea, which I question if it is doing anything for the gnats. They seem to be getting worse again. The only thing that really seemed to knock the population way down was the nematodes, but with only about a week left, I'm just going to deal with these little fuckers. Ordered more nematodes and rove beetles for my 3x3 grow I plan to start very soon.

Flowering is really stunned in this very cold weather, still a fun thought seeing my plant still alive while all the tree already have lost their leaves. Today i chopped the remaining branches on my right maincola, the left will stay 1 to 3 more weeks, im gonna push that one with all the risk of every risk🤗 i wett trimmed the branches again and hanged them, after i took away the first drying batch from 10 days ago. I weighted that what was still hanging at 49 grams dry weight, adding up to a total of 64 grams so far... Im guessing the total amount of dry weight on this plant will be around 300 grams unfortunately... If this would have flowered lets say 1,5 month earlier( like it was fking expecter to do!!!) It would have made a kilo for sure

Critical purple kush is such an amazing plant. I got some great phenotypes from this batch. I have placed 5 of then into veg as mother's. I am astounded by the size of the buds on many of these plants. They are easily the largest I have ever grown. The smell if amazing like pineapples and fruit salad, the colors are phenomenal and show orange deep red pink purple green and more. I used super soil and they seemed to love it. I am very excited about my next round of purple kush because this one was so great. A few of these mother's will certainly be in my grow room for years to come.
