Ginger Nut Cookies & Aussie Music Videos Week 16 Harvest 17 th April 2020 This Entire feminised seed making and growing project was a very good learning experience for me. Right from the very start, when I successfully got a Cutting ,taken from a Barneys Farm Red diesel female plant to produce feminised pollen after treating it with a silver thiosulfate solution. I then used it to pollinate a Fastbuds Girl scout cookies auto plant and let it grow to maturity. This only produced 3 viable seeds one of which is the subject of this Diary. I made up the name "Ginger nut cookies" after a variety of cookies we have here in Australia that are made with ginger. They are the same colour as the distinct red hairs on the red diesel buds. And would you believe those same vivid red hairs were passed on to this plant so I wasn't too far off the mark with the strain name. Her flavour however is nothing like red diesel or girl scout cookies and infact as taken on a smell and aroma all of it's own. She has a lovely tropical fruit like taste and the smell is a bit like fruit yoghurt. It has an unreal after taste on the exhale and the lingering second hand smoke smells very sweet and enticing. She has a pretty well balanced high too not as potent as the GSC nor as energenic as the red diesel but just a pleasant mix of the two. It was a very easy to grow and undemanding plant that didn't seem to require a lot of extra feeding other than the 100% organic nutrients that were within the soil and a few things like compost teas etc. The other element of this diary was of course the weekly Aussie music videos That I provided the links for and put up a little video clip preview of each Artists song. At the end of week 8 the blackberry cake feminised is doing well as the bud formation tightens and the stigmas fade, leaves paled it’s looking like the end is nigh. All of her energy is being used to complete the bloom. The try chromes glistening over the flowers are mostly milky. The blackberry cake feminised stalk is beginning to dull/decay. In the last stage of defoliation she will be flushed thoroughly for the last two weeks. She stands at 67cm tall.

End of week 4 for the Orange Sherbet. She just got fed with Goldleaf feterlizer and cal-mag. So far no new changes. She keep growing slow, no signs of pre- flower. She's been a hand full. Leave are still getting the brown spots and dying even with cal-mag added to the feeding. Let's see how week 5 goes.

Day 103: It was a great pleasure growing the Kitsune Kush Automatic from Zamnesia Seeds. Only the main stem was bent and very few leaves were removed. The amount of work, if you can even call it work, is very minimal. Tag 103: Es war ein großes Vergnügen, die Kitsune Kush Automatic von Zamnesia Seeds anzubauen. All in all every strain is doing great! Blueberry is the closes to finishing followed by chemdawg and lastly the Somango I just flipped little over a week ago so still have a little while to go with her! Blueberry has a pungent and fresh berries/citrus aroma going on while the chemdawg has the infamous og odor no doubt og is related to it haha. Thanks for checking it out! The two beautiful Critical Kush plants came from another diary. They sprouted fast and came up strong. I was amazed. Because after soaking for 24 hrs I don't think they even cracked the shell. I do not know the breeder. Got these through a trade with Tonio, who I'm sorry to say had to stop growing. They were only labeled Critical Kush. With gold lettering on the sticker. No other marks. ?????

1/11/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 1- I have a root almost in the water.. Yay!! Top feeding is almost done. she is looking a little sad as I work the transition Top feeding but once the roots are fully in the water she will start to take off. Ensured my PPFD is set between 250-300 it is set to: 258 1/12/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 2- I have a root in the water.... NO TOP FEED TODAY SIR!!! now that a root is touching the water and she looks stable, I am not going to topfeed, I will see how she looks tomorrow and as long as everything looks good I am going to go ahead and do a change and week 1 fill on Nutes.. I know it is a couple of days in but the same Nutes go through Week 2 and get changed at Week 3 So I should be good to go.. I will just ensure I fill to root touching the water when I change tomorrow. 1/13/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 3- Water Change Day!! I added 36 Gallons of Water to the system: Silica= .5mil/gal= 18mil CalMag= .75mil/gal = 27mil FloraMicro=3.0mil/gal = 108mil FloraGro=2.0mil/gal = 72mil FloraBloom= 2.0mil/gal = 72mil PH DOWN= 30mil Very important thing with this system is to now wait the 24 hours for the system to adjust.. Do not make any further adjustments to your PH up or Down for 24 hours to allow time for the system to balance. 1/14/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 4- Today I just adjusted the PH to ensure that it was right at 6.0 1/15/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 5- Today I Cleaned up the lower damaged leaves from the transition from top feeding to roots in the water. She looks good today. 1/16/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 6- Today I just took a picture of the beautiful lady for Log. Other than that just normal day to day operations, check the pH, check the Humidifiers and fill as necessary, check level of water in the Res. Everything looks great. onto Tomorrow!! 1/17/2024 Vegetation Week 1 Day 7- Today I filled the humidifers, checked the PH and just let her grow.. Grow baby Grow.....

Trying to go back and see everything I did and I’m pretty sure it was the two nights of not having a heater down in the basement I live in Ohio. It gets really cold at night and then switching environments from veg tent to flower tent the combination of me over feeding and all of those I think is what has stunted her, going to give her another couple days to see if she jumps out of it 🔥💯

AMAZING WEEK! The environment is reading for flowering. Lighting, feeding, watering, air temp and CO2 are all stable and should give my plants a stress free life. Humidity is still high, so I'll need to come up with a plan for dealing with that ASAP. I've introduced CO2 into the grow with my brand new AirBomz unit. It uses a light sensor that releases CO2 when the lights turn on, and then uses a timer to release every 2hrs until the light switch off. I doubt I'll reach the 1200PPM stated by the manufacturer, mainly because I'm running an extraction, but I figure some is better than none. Cool controller also included. After doing some reading I can see there's two things that I need to look out for: A) Switching off the extraction so it doesn't suck away the precious CO2 before the plants have had a chance to absorb it B) Making sure the room doesn't get too hot whilst the extraction is off, causing heat stress My solution is: A) Switch off extraction for 15mins at the AirBomz 2hr interval B) Use the Temp Controller the switch off the circulation fan when temp exceeds 27C C) Controller then switches on the active intake when temp exceeds 28C D) Temp is held at 29C whilst the extraction is off D) Extraction turns back on after 15 mins, temp drops below 27C E) Temp controller switches off active intake... F) ...And switches on the circulation fan G) Repeats every 2hrs NEXT WEEK: Work out how much the girls are drinking! I'll know when I change the reservoir.

Ok so i had a bad week super high humidity im using a small dehumidifier that is helping a bit .. The plant is still growing strong but i cut a lot of leaves to avoid any mildew in the tent . The plant still smells great and is very citrus smelling . The constant rain and humidity has been a very difficult issue but she seems to be doing very well right now so im staying hopeful ..

I am honestly super stoked about every single plant in this run. That said, I think I am probably most impressed by the 🍭🎅🏻 COTTON CANDY CANE lady from Emerald Triangle Seeds. She is incredibly vigorous. She was started nearly a month after all the others (except the 🦍🍪 GORILLA x COOKIES) and has already caught up to some of the taller plants in the run. I've let our girl blue grow for an extra week and I think our base is looking really strong. It's time for topping to creat the base of our manifold. To do this were going to use he Nebula's Manifold technique by Nubula Haze from GrowWeedEasy.com. I'm in no way affiliated with the site or Mrs. Haze but I have found her website to be a great place to start my cannabis growing journey. I've done so much more research now but it did start for me back in 2020 at GrowWeedEasy.com Anyway I've got some video that will explain the method as I top the plant but basically what we're going to top down to the 3rd node and then clean all the extra growth off. This should leave only two growth tips and their fan leaves. Check out the photos and videos for more details. Feeding and light schedules continue as normal.

Day 93. Second and third wave of chop has happened. Girls are really crystally and airy, leafy, stretched, look more like sativa, but some of them are queens of oil and stickiness and one beuty was pure black currant, felt like you are eating jam, not smoking spliff ;))) But a lot of them went to bubble hash or butter production. Still, first wave of chop brought me 120 of smokabelish crap ;)) Royal Gorilla clone brought in from green house, 3 most interesting girls left for watch out ;)) Freak show goes on !!! ;)) Day 98. Girls are going good. Stinky and crystally, just VERY VERY airy ;)) RQS RG clone finally adapted to lights, leaves are praying again, she is happy. That clone will go for a finish into dry room, i bought light, so its now veg, emergency flower and dry room .. 3in1 ;)) New tenants gave a visit, think they will movein in a week ;)) Thank You #SweetSeeds Happy Growing !!!
