Hey folks. Into week 16 (week 7 into flower) and the ladies are doing great! Again putting on some mass! Temps have been optimal hover around 12-25degs, night to day respectively. They are starting to stink up nice, lots of pine, kushy undertones and a hint of pepper! Sounds and smells insane. Its not loud yet but the aromas hanging out on the deck are amazing with a gentle breeze! They are packing on some serious mass and producing an amazing amount of resin. 📆 Week 9, 7-13 December 2023 7-13 December - Continued with simple adjustment of branches to receive maximum light. There was no defoliation of any leaf this week. Her growth rate has slowed and I believe she is heading in to the bulking stage. I’m satisfied with her size at this point. 8 December - Turned light power from 50% up to 75%, and raised lights from 18” to 21” from top of plant to facilitate the bulking phase of flowering. 📑 Let’s briefly discuss light and umol/m2/s or PPFD. First of all its all about numbers. Is there an agreeable starting point on these figures - the cannabis plant requires between 100-300 PPFD in seedling, 400-700 PPFD in vegetation, and 800-1000 PPFD in flower. It can go up to 1500 PPFD with certain C02 concentrations. I believe this may be generally accepted. Never being much of a numbers person, in ways I avoid it. I’ve grown indoor weed for a long time without a fancy device to tell me what this number was, the plant did that. A quality light and the plant itself will talk to each other in a matter of hours sometimes, days in others, I just need observe. But what I have come to realize the past few years is that these numbers, found in simple instruments (apps for smart phones) give us a very specific area of where she is within all these spectrums. It allows us more precision and insight to what would otherwise be a possible weak or vulnerable spot within our grow. I’ll use mine on a new strain, and to verify any questions. They are easily accessible tools for the common gardner. When we adjust our lights we can measure what will be optimal for our plant. Using my case in point; from: 50% power or 890 PPFD at 18” to: 75% power or 1080 PPFD at 21” **if not raised 3” - that number would have been 1320 PPFD - likely damage the plant - or raised any higher there would be no real benefit in what I’m attempting to achieve - likely waste of power** The 2023 ViperSpectra XS2000 lights (the ones I use) come with a new switch now that go from 25, 50, 75, 100% power and no option in between. So that kind of put a kink in a week or two during my grows I have to work around. Going from 50-75% power is a big shift in light intensity, and these lights are bright. Knowing what that number is and being able to adjust the height precisely to avoid damage is reassuring. I appreciate advancements that make growing a little easier. In most personal grows during flower I’ll go well over 1000 PPFD depending on the strain tolerance, without C02. Here are my experiences why: 1) my set-up allows it, 2) that number only reflects the greatest reading at the highest point on the plant - my reports, 3) when the plant is budding it is absorbing much more photons than when in the leafy only stage - everything is accelerated - this is a totally different discussion, 4) the additional light provided will proportionally increase a higher yield, and finally, 5) some of todays theories on light will change in 5 years, as it has from 10 years before, we still have a lot to research. LEDs are definately cream of the crop, but there is something new to learn I’m sure. Until then I can only tweak what I have in search for a tighter bud, higher in THC. I said I would briefly discuss this subject. Everything is possible with lights. It is science that says the cannabis plant does not have to produce secondary metabolites (trichomes and cannabinoids), in some cases it may not. It produces them based on its environment. She returns to you what you dedicate toward her. I had a good week, defoliated any yellow leaves I saw, let the soil dry completely and then flushed her a little. This plant isn’t the most resilient plant I’ve worked with, having more trouble than I’d like.

Wow... thats all I can say.. these plants are gonna be massive yielders. And unbelievable smoke.. this girl TURNED PURPLE THIS WEEK!!!!! Totally unexpected! 100% green last week. 100% purple this week! I hope the other 4 follow suit! Still pouring the nutrients to them! Without nitro! Not needed! Completely healthy, beautiful plants!!! My favorite grow to date!

Day 78, I switched plant #2 to an all PK diet with FloraFlex Full Tilt. She’ll take up the whole 3.5 gals of nutes by Wednesday. I’m then going to begin my 3 day flush Wednesday evening. And I will chop her on Saturday evening. I also took a little sample nug off plant #2 just want to compare non-flushed to flushed weed. Also see how much they shrink in size. Day 79, Plant #2 is on schedule to start flush in 2 days. And I will give her the chop this coming weekend. Going to try a ice flush using frozen water bottles to see if I can help bring out more color. The other plants #1 and #3 are still a two weeks or so away from being chopped. Day 81, started the 3 day flush on Plant #2. And took some more photo shots of her buds and a 360° view video. Day 84, Plant #2 got the chop. Wet weight, before light trim and removing large stems is 760 grams!!! I will update once they finish drying, and then again once I finish the trim and about to jar them for cure. Plants #1 & #3 are still flowering, probably another week or two before they are ready to be chopped.

Week 6 and these girls got a scrog net added. As the plants are getting extremely heavy. Started to unfold an open up eagle spread style. So had to lend a helping hand. They got a scrog net added an the untrained plant got tied up from tents upper support bars an lower branches got some support also from the net. So far everything is going smoothly. Photos 2 days ago there were some defiences you could see them on lower leafs but added them strong nutrient mix and now they growing very vigorous, made some topping a few days ago next update soon they will grow dynamic now everything is good organic grow 💪👌 they also closer to the light now as soon as they are bigger😍 i will train them more in next few weeks lets go!!

It was very easy to grow as a super-strong nothing can hurt her for nut burs u need to do it way over so she starts to get burns well for my first DWC I love it buds are amazing even not experienced like me can grow her perfectly I can't wait to try and smoke here 😎😎🤩😘

Buenas a tod@s... Otra semanita más de flora para estás hermosas niñas... Creciendo un poquitito más, super bien, super fuertes... Ya faltan pocas semanas y la verdad q lo las veo nada mal, absorben muy bien los nutrientes, aumentado el riego a 1lt x planta, no tienen ningún signo malo de nada, todo perfecto, eh tenido que hacer un poco de defoliación ya q habia muchísimas hojas grandes, se nota la buena circulación de aire, la penetración de luz en las partes bajas ( que aunque algunos no les den importancia o digan que esas zonas le quitan fuerzas a la planta, a mí me gusta dejar que crezca todo tal cual, sin problema.) son cogollos pequeños, pero los aceptamos igual, claro q sí... Hello hello! Cream cookies is getting her final flush today! Lets see how she develops this final week. I will let her medium dry, then harvest. The buds are getting deep colors, are nice and big but could be a bit more dense. I am eager to smoke her. Very inviting pungent cookie dough smell from her is filling the tent. For her flush: 3ml L Flashclean until 20% runoff then 20L icewater and pot full of ice cubes.
