FoxFarm Original Planting Mix

FoxFarm Original Planting Mix is the company’s very first blend and still a favorite among gardeners who “don’t treat their soil like dirt.” Crafted with aged forest products, sphagnum peat moss and earthworm castings, it creates a rich, loose texture that cradles roots, holds moisture and stays airy even after repeated watering. The addition of bat guano, dolomitic lime and oyster shell provides a gentle nutrient charge of 0.20‑0.40‑0.05 (N‑P₂O₅‑K₂O), plus calcium for strong cell walls and balanced pH. Because the mix is fully amended and pH‑buffered, you can plant straight from the bag: work a 3–6 inch layer into new garden beds, top‑dress established plantings, or fill raised beds, tree holes and rose borders without further additives.
