The girls are on week eight, almost ready to flip!. Had some problems with my clone/mother room this time round and the neem oil stress took its toll on the Pink NaPali clones. The Pink grew a little slower than usual. Looks like when I flip the lights the Pink will start it's stretch at about a foot shy of the rest of the crop. The Skunk, Gorilla and Wedding Cake is now touching the top metal trellis at four feet for some final light stress training. The plastic coated metal top trellis works well allowing the canopy to fill and makes pruning up easy before the stretch. The tide of this sea of green is coming in! Had a little problem here in the winter months with my last harvest. The ambient relative humidity got as low as 17% and buds got a little over dried. Hence, a humidor was built for this harvest! 😃 Tonight we will be flushing the roots with fresh R/O H2O. I will run the HP watering the normal 2 min./ 20 min. cycles but, will crank down the Ph down to 5.0 to help remove any salts on the root systems. The PPM rises.

While I'm waiting for this harvest, I am working on my fourth grow room. My first grow in 1989 was in an attic; a complete failure and a bust! My second room was a 16L X 6W x 6H. First grow, in that room, my plants drove right into lights and burnt all the buds. I ended up tossing that crop. The next one worked out ok, after I had some help from a friend. My eight plant grow was using Coco for medium. When I read cannabis was a tracheophyte, I was done with the pot and started growing in the rails. My floor is 10x20 but, the HVAC is taking up a bunch of floor space. I am building a shed attached to my room to hold the HVAC. The new room will hold 140 net pots rather than the 80 now. This means I need more clones. My goal in the 10 x 20 room is an ounce per square foot. I'm only yielding an ounce per 2.4 square foot of valuable floor space at this time. One of the cons of growing in the rails is you need a ton of clones. I'm basically just growing branches rather than plants. I purchased a 96 site cloner for over three hundred. Eighty clones were needed when I moved into my current room, 20L x 10W x 8H. I didn't think over three hundred was worth the cloning machine, so I got some plastic and a pump and made my own 150 site machine. One hundred eighty bucks total, pump and all!👻 Finished the new rails for the remodel. After building the new clone machine I did not bother to buy pre-made rails. Good thing because the one's you can buy are too expensive and only 6 feet. These 8 footers will fit much better in 10 ft. room.

When the outdoor air dehumidification fan runs it produces a periotic negative pressure in the grow room. What is preferred: a negative or positive pressure in a grow room for this method of dehumidification?

Urrrrrmmm, not to sure what you mean, if we use 'passive' air flow then slight negative is preferred, the extractor fan creates negative pressure as it takes stagnant stale air out while 'sucking' fresh air in to create a cycle, to me personally unless it's sealed I would prefer negative so I 'know' it's pulling fresh air in, I wouldn't of thought this would be any different if you have a dehumidifier in the tent as well, you still want that 'fresh' air coming in, hope this helps happy growing 👍

Flipped the girls at week eight and ran four HPS to 1000 watt$. At start of week nine, nodes at an inch; starting week ten nodes at half inch. Will run the 4000 watt$ one more week. Added the Big Bud to the nutrient sump. Very happy with the Jungle Juice. Used to use Sensi Part A and Part B and had to change the 10 micron nutrient filter more frequently. I'm assuming there was a lot of stuff in the Sensi I didn't need. HPW is running at two hundred pounds with two three hundred pound misting pumps at eighty nozzles. I built a magic box to sequence the two pumps for three different zones. This should cut down the nozzle pump ratio so I am hopping I can get the watering pressure up to three hundred. Still working on the mechanical room to get the equipment off the grow floor. Concrete. Good grief. Should have gotten fifty pound bags instead of eighty pounders! 😖

WoW! Week 15. Been spending a lot of time in the mother room. Had a spider mite problem started about a month ago in my mother room. I was using neem oil for my pest control but, I could not keep up with these buggers. The neem oil put a lot of stress on my plants and I was afraid I would end up killing the mothers. Supply house turned me on to: "https://circadiancropsciences.com/product/new-circadian-sunrise-pm-plus-fungicide-insecticide-miticide-2-5lb-free-2-day-shipping/" Circadian Sunrise Horticultural Oil – Fungicide, Insecticide, Miticide One ounce/gallon 3/week. Perfect! The mothers are looking great! This stuff literally put no stress on the plants and killed the mites in two weeks. all gone no new ones! Mothers looking ready for cloning soon! Got the mechanical room done and moved the irrigation system in and off the grow floor. Now just waiting for harvest to move A/C off the floor. It will be nice starting a new grow with a nice sealed isolated room.
