This is one of three journals I am running this grow season. My first go with Pacific Seed Co and Advanced Genetics. It was searching the web for a supplier for this strain (Forbidden Fruit) that led me to discover PSC. They get mixed reviews, apparently for their customer service. Luckily I don't generally find myself in that boat so I decided to risk it to give them a try. I'm a big believer in Rapid Rooters plugs. Began using them for hydro and cloning but they work equally as well for starting seeds in soil. Just give them a quick soak then squeeze out the excess. You want them damp but not soggy. These ladies are sharing a dome with some other girls. Hoping for a true sisterhood this fall. ;)

**edit 5th sprout is up** Sprouts are mostly up, one straggler. Transplanted plugs into 1 gal fabric pots for now, they'll go into larger containers (50 gal roughly)once they go outside full time. Getting these girls used to the sun early. My light is weak so I want to utilize as much sun as I can. Frosts are still a risk so I bring everything inside at night. Only lightly watering(about a cup per plant) until roots establish. No nutes yet.

These ladies are coming along nicely. The one that sprouted a little later is a bit behind but nothing drastic. The weather has turned nice enough I am leaving these outdoors and hoping they're getting enough light to not try to flip. Almost 13 hours(not counting dusk/dawn windows) in almost direct sun should be ok. Even running 12/12 from seed it still takes 3-4 weeks for the plant to reach a maturity to even show sex. If I was running clones instead of seeds I might wait a couple more weeks though. Gave their first dose of nutes day 8, kept it a light one since they're still pretty fragile. Each plant is getting about 2 cups of my dilute mixture, every other feeding is just straight water until I get a feel for the nute needs for these strains. Couple days of heavy rains kinda beat them down a little bit but sprung back up nicely.

To start the week pots still have a bit of weight from all the rain. They should be ready for another dose of my mild nute mix in a couple days. I think I have 2 phenos on my hands. FF 1-3 show vigorous growth and are about 5 inches tall. FF 4&5 are a bit spindly and slower growing with the early growth showing kinda purple before greening up. Crossing my fingers some of these show that dark purple in flower.

Crazy week in the garden. A cold snap rolled in forcing me to bring my girls indoors for a few days. These ladies are going strong on minimal effort so far. Haven't given any nutes this week and the only watering has been via the rain. I'd like to let them get a bit taller and then I will begin to consider transplanting them into their final pots and doing some topping.

Weather is much improved this week. I probably won't have to water again this week thanks to some mid week rain. Plants don't appear to be hurting for nutes yet so I will just let them do their thing for another week. I'd like to put them in their final pots soon but still concerned about a late frost. Will likely wait another week or two for that but I might consider topping some of my more aggressive ones as this week finishes.

Topped everything at the end of last week, responding ok thus far. I also managed to squeeze a feeding in between all the rains. FF 1 has tried to flower on me. I knew I was pushing the line on how early I brought these outdoors but it's the only one, not only of FF but all my photos this season, to try flowering but still plenty of time for her to transition back over.

This week I will be working on transplanting all my photoperiod plants into their final pots to run in for the season. My girls will be going from 1 gal fabric pots into large plastic pots that are approximately 30 gal in size with nice sturdy rims to anchor to while LSTing my branches later on.

Plants are adjusting to their new homes well and I've begun training. FF1 hasn't shown any signs of transitioning back to veg yet. Hopefully will by the end of the month. Almost wonder if they didn't accidentally ship an auto in the mix but will continue to monitor her. Still haven't given any nutes in weeks. Too much rain for extra watering, but the soil isn't totally devoid of nutrients and they aren't showing any signs of deficiencies. At this rate I may not need to feed until bloom but will keep an eye on things.

Growth over the last week is impressive. I had been pretty busy and hadn't checked on them and was pleased with their progress. Still not adding nutes yet. Rain has been fairly regular and watering hasn't been needed. FF1 still isn't showing any signs of reverting back to veg, in fact the buds are swelling and getting frosty lol. It might be ready to chop in a few weeks if it continues to stay in flower. Really think it had some recessive auto traits that got expressed in this plant-or a mix up with the seed order. If it does get an early harvest I'll probably be gentle and see about reveging it after under artificial light.

A couple days before these photos I retrained the branches out more. Even though the plants are only about 20 inches tall, the canopies are nice and wide- on average about 2ftX3ft, the bigger ones more like 3X4. Will probably allow things to go vertical for now and decide if I want to train more at the start of flower. Still no added nutes, just rain. Flowers on FF1 continue to fatten and no signs of reveg.

The girls are growing taller. I might have to train more again soon. I managed to work in a light feeding this week and the plants loved it. The next couple weeks likely won't be too eventful. Just stacking growth until preflowers start to show up.

Temps have been scorching this week. Should have probably watered more frequently. Only used water this week. Will push nutes harder during the transition to flower. FF1 is basically done, starting to go a little amber. Will clip buds off it soon.

Cooler temps this week. Preflowers are starting to show. Look for the plants to transition over the next few weeks. Will slowly begin introducing bloom nutes. FF1 seems ready to chop, no clear trichs to speak of but no amber either. Waiting a bit longer to see if it might bulk more, but it's close. **Chopped FF1 on Day 89. Amber began showing quickly after originally posting this and the leaves quickly began a fall like transition. High temps could have sped that along. This plant really surprised me, mostly with it acting like an auto. Certainly wouldn't have topped it had I known. Still the buds turned out dense and dank, once dried I think I will be pleased with the outcome considering how small the plant was.

High temps and wicked humidity has been the theme this week along with bouts of heavy rains daily for short periods. Did a light defoliation in the middles where leaves were clogging up a bit. These plants are a bit more fragile than the others I am journaling and a few have splits from training "oopsies". They'll be fine but I will probably have to stake up some branches when they get heavy with bud. One particularly damaged limb on FF3 broke off during the storms. I stripped off most of it's big fan leaves and stuck it in the pot the original FF1 was in. Doubt if it roots but it has perked back up after a few days of heavy droop. Plants growing tall and all are showing their preflowers. I expect full transition to commence soon now that the solstice has passed. This week is supposed to be cooler and dryer so I might get to start working in my transition nutes.

More heavy rains this week. Plants are going strong with good growth. They should be entering flower any time now, though I won't actually mark it until tops begin to take shape. Still haven't given any nutes. This soil mix I threw together must have had a good amount of nitrogen already present or the nutes needs of these strains are pretty light because they've shown no signs of deficiency. Surprisingly the branch I stuck in FF1's old pot is holding on so far. I realize it likely won't produce much even if it does root but it will still be more than if I had just trashed it and being outdoors it's not like I am hurting for space. *For those curious how the original FF1 turned out, I managed to pull 21 grams dried off of her which I found super impressive considering it was topped after it went into flower and was less than a foot tall. After 2 weeks in a jar it's smelling/tasting pretty nice. Fruity with an uplifting high. The flavor wasn't as intense as some of the Forbidden Fruit I've found in the NW, but I think the others might push that more with a little bud candy.

After four months of veg my girls are finally starting to show. Flowering isn't uniform, FF3 is showing the beginning of tops but the rest are still stretching and popping bud sites. I gave up on the broken branch I was trying to get to root. Too woody and too much foliage to support without a root system. After all the rains they finally got to dry out, maybe a little too much as I was busy this week but I got to start working my transition nutes in to push a little more PK in the diet. Gave them a light defoliation in the middles where things were getting clogged up.

Officially marking the beginning of flower. FF3 is further along than the others but all have begun pushing tops now. The heat has punished these a bit, they are definitely more sensitive to heat than the other strains I'm currently growing. Makes sense considering I generally find this strain in cooler NW US climates and it carries a purple pheno. The plant structure is also a little more fragile than my other strains, care needs to be taken during training. If the advertised flowering period is close they'll be ready in 8-10 more weeks.

The heat continues but in a short mild break atm. Flowers are coming along well. The weight of the branches and high winds have caused some to split some more, staked the worst ones up for extra support. Smells are beginning to develop, especially in FF3.

The heat and humidity continues to punish these. They're trucking along but I can tell they'd perform better in a pampered indoor environment. The flowers on FF3 are starting to fatten up a little but of course they all still have a long ways to go. No relief in site on the heat so I'll just have to cross my fingers and keep them hydrated. Due to the increased watering schedule I've only pushed nutes every other watering.

Not quite as bad as last month but it's still been hot and dry. Flowers are getting bigger, branches are leaning a fair bit. FF3 might finish soon. Hairs don't look ready but it already has a little amber showing up. I want to give it a bit longer if I can, will monitor to see if more amber shows or if it's just a few early heads. Rest will probably be about 7-10 days later, FF3 developed a little early. Ideally they'll run another three weeks if they finish as advertised.

Well the cool temps didn't last long. These girls are close to finishing, chopped FF3 on Day 185. Will update info on the pull once it dries. That one started flowering about a week before the rest so we'll see how much more the buds plumpen up over the next week. They're at about 90% cloudy with very few ambers at the moment. Still waiting on those last few clears to turn.

Including the 21gs pulled from FF1, this grow netted 422 grams, good for a 3 oz per plant average. I'll admit I was a little lazy with my trimming (I had 9 others plants to work up besides these) so I could loose a little weight when I clean it up more. More trim for edibles/extracts lol.
