First Grow

Week 2 of Flower started last Friday (4/20). I vegged for 4 weeks under 250w CFL. Have been under 600w HPS last 3 weeks. Blue cookies has a very pungent dank smell. while the 2 bagseed (same strain very dif phenos) both smell kind of fruity. but not very pungent. the small bagseed is already showing budlets on day 11 of flower. seems early but I'm excited to see how this first grow of mine goes. any tips are very appreciated. happy growing. END OF WEEK UPDATE: A little bit of mild nute burn on the blue cookies. went from 650ppm to 750ppm and she didn't like it. yellow tips on only the new top fan leaves. very mild. also dropped ph from 6.2 to 6.0. overall week 2 went well. got my exhaust now properly set up and temps are now in mid to upper 70s. saw buds develop on all 3 plants this week. and the stink in the tent has gotten loud. very excited for the weeks to come.

I messed up last week and noticed yellow tips on new growth of my Blue cookies. Thought I over fed her. after further examination the next day it turned out to be K deficient. added more koolbloom and fn bloom and the yellowing stopped progressing. and her flowers are getting back on track. it's a couple days behind now but luckily I fixed the problem before it got bad. half way through week 3 of flower. will update again Thursday at the end of the 3rd week of flower. Update: Friday day 21. end of 3rd week of flower. the buds have really bulked the past few days and the Blue Cookies already has trichomes covering the sugar leaves and even some on the base of fan leaves. she's a stinky girl. the other 2 bagseed plants stink some. no trichs yet. #1 smells hashy and kind of like chocolate. #2 smells a lot more fruity and exotic. the K deficiency on the Bc has been assessed but left her with some ugly yellow tips. she is ok though. no further progression on those. so far so good. on to week 4 of flower.

overfed all 3 of them a little bit. going to flush tomorrow with just water and continue feeding at 700ppm.

lowered ppm to 650. over fed last week and burned all of them just a tad. nothing major. the 2 bagseed are starting to put on some resin and bulk. the smaller one (#2) loves being closer to the light. I put her on a box to keep her at canopy with her sisters and she started to bulk up her thin buds. #1 smells of citrus and ammonia. #2 is citrusy and hashy. blue cookies is really putting on a show with her resin. I don't think she will yield much. nugs are small and tight. they feel like little rocks. but her smoke will be excellent. she smells wonderful. can't even describe it. everything is going decent. about 4 to 6 more weeks should do it. EDIT: Bad week in the grow. AC unit went out during heat wave and ac guy is bullshitting. did everything I could but temps were over 90f for about 4 days. and my Blue Cookies hermied due to heat stress. balls all over lower nugs. a few pollen sacs started to open (about 3). im afraid my crop is already seeded as I didn't catch it quick enough. removed all affected lower nugs. and will continue removing balls as I see them throughout. couldnt bring myself to throw shim out due to insane resin production. if it were either of there other two I would have tossed them. oh well. I'll continue to update. I freaked out and removed all balls but will get pics of any balls as they show up next. FML. Maybe next grow.

last week sucked with the heat issue causing Bc to hermie. I haven't seen any new balls since I got it somewhat under control. hopefully it stays that way. lower branches were affected on nugs that weren't yielding anyways so I stripped it below the 2nd topping site. pistils aren't really dying yet. some are starting. mostly white still. bagseed 1 got some foxtails on her buds from the heat stress last week. pretty ugly but oh well. bagseed 2 was nute burned as well last week. bad week last week. hopefully this week will be better. everybody got flushed Friday with PHd distilled. and fed at 500ppm Sat. will continue at 500 unless deficiencies show. should only have 3 weeks left but we will see how they develop. thanks for stopping by.

all is going well. AC unit was fixed last week and temps are under control. I've continued to lower feeding as harvest approaches. about 400ppm for the rest of the week for the cookies then I will assess if she wants to be flushed yet. I'm guessing she will. going to give the 2 bagseed the remainder of this week and next week on nutes then probably flush. so I'm guessing 1 and 1/2 weeks on the blue cookies until chop and 2 and 1/2 weeks for the other 2. they're really starting to smell. the bagseed 1 is starting to fade it's fan leaves a beautiful dark purple. and the cookies is starting to purple out on the tips of the buds. all is well in the tent.

Started flushing all 3 last Friday. Blue cookies was ready. bagseed 1 was probably a couple days off. and bagseed 2 was about a week off from when I should've started to flush them. but need to harvest all at the same time so I can use carbon filter while drying. Living in apartments smell is an issue and I only have 1 filter. So bagseed 2 will get chopped a little early. gonna do them all when bagseed 1 is ready. so cookies will be a few days late to let the other 2 maybe catch up and help flush out all them nutes. Cookies run off ppm was high af at 2400. other two were at 1400. runoff ph was 6.1 on all 3. finish line ahead in about a week to a week and a half. won't let them go past next Friday. thanks for checking in.

about 10 days into flush now. just hit them all with their pre-harvest defol. should be harvesting Friday. blue cookies and bagseed 1 are on track. bagseed 2 will be early but it's mids so I don't care. cookies smells like sour berries and earthy cookies. very pungent. bagseed 1 just started putting off an ammonia smell with strong citrus and pine smells. bagseed 2 just smells faintly of sweet citrus. will update again when I chop them. thanks for stopping by my first grow. I think I've done ok to this point aside from the hermie issue which I'd like to think wasn't my fault as there were no light leaks or nute problems when it occurred. just the AC going out for so long was way too much heat stress. they hit 95f one day. and we're consistently over 90 for a week and a half. they did well considering. had a great time and learned a ton. thanks to everybody who's given me tips and helped along the way. EDIT: Chopped bagseed 2 at day 59. she threw pollen on lower branches that came from within buds. most likely hermied from nutrient stress due to early flush. oh well. she was mids. I cut her down before this next week made it a seeded mess. quite a few branches were affected. pretty much all secondary nugs. f*ck it. other 2 look great and had their last flush today (Tuesday morning). Bc runoff ppm was 42. bagseed 1 was crazy low at 28. Ph is high at 7.2 on both but not worried about it as there isn't much nutes left to take up. chop Friday for those 2.

they are now all chopped. posting as flower week because I wanted to update but don't don't weight flavors etc for a harvest report. that will come in 3 weeks. after 1 week dry 2 week cure. thanks to everybody for stopping by my first ever grow. it's been a real pleasure.
