I'm very excited about this grow number 5. This is the final 3rd seed of the Puff Puff Pass Amnesia. The last grow I'm still smoking. It will be gone soon. This is a nice Indica. I'm using a 5 gallon forever pot. Perhaps in 2-8 weeks I'll move her outside to my greenhouse. It depends on the weather. Only took 5 days to germinate. 1 day of soaking in a shot glass of distilled water. 2 days on a paper towel and 2 days underground. I kept the seed warm on a radio. I kept the seed humid inside a bag, while underground.
I've moved a bunch of other stuff in the grow room outside so now I've got room to move her closer to the light this will help with the stretch. I didn't have any more of the compostable cups so I put her straight into the forever home. This is what is needed to do this with an auto because transplanting stunts the growth. Only the first set of leaves is showing. Since she's in a 4 gallon pot I water 20 ml instead of 10 ml.
This week's pictures are exclusively from inside the greenhouse. It has been cold this week. On sunny days she really likes that sunshine, see the prayer formation.
Plants aren't growing too fast. The soil must be very good because a zucchini popped up and was ready to be transplanted already but it got cold and now looks dead. The second set of leaves looks good and is a 3 point. The greenhouse is humid and that is evident by dew on the leaves. I plan to add some clover in the future.
I took some before and after pictures of the topping of this plant. The first topping is the cutting off the third node. The cut needs to be made between the second and the third nodes.
Fantastic it has finally got warm. Today was the last day of frost. It is not ready for a second topping. I'm a few days late on this diary. Week 6 and not flowering yet and not very tall. I love Indica. Glad I added some clover.
The clover and the compost tea have got to be helping this plant grow. I might keep her in the green house all summer. If I keep topping Amnesia won't get too tall. I predict flower mode on June 1.
Amnesia got the 2nd topping 2 weeks ago. Maybe she might get a third. I moved her outside because I thought she started flowering. Once outside the plant got drenched and now it is 39 degrees.
I've bumped the height up to 18 inches. It doesn't really matter. Never made it to a 3rd topping. There is a small amount of bug infestation, not a problem. Just so happy she kicked into flower.
I dropped a lady bug I found in the green house in the Amnesia pot. I also sprayed a little bit. Then it rained so most of it washed off. This is the 2nd week of flower. Coming slowly and it is getting cold again at night.
She is growing so nicely. I was away for a week. It rained everyday. My caretaker didn't need to water at all. The bud sites all look so nice thanks to the topping technique.
4 nice buds on top and 4 nice buds on bottom. Topping has really helped spread this plant out compared to her sister the other Amnesia from last summer.
Since this 27 inch Amnesia is producing such nice buds, I'm helping the process along with 100ml daily of compost tea, because every day this week has been rain free.
I took some scope pictures of the trichomes. It rained a tremendous amount and many growers are worried about mold, not me. Amensia stayed the same height. Some leaves are dying not an issue.
The smell is strong. She's grown 4 inch let's assume. I'm ready to do a 3/8 harvest because some leaves are dying. I'll take 3 of the top 4 colas. She's thirsty and I'm giving her 8 ounces of compost tea daily.
I took half the plant. I left the other half of Amnesia to grow a little more with the top part gone. To be more precise I took 3 out of the 4 top colas and one branch from the side. Looking like 3/4 ounce net from this half harvest.
This is the last week. I just realized I had her in a 5 gallon pot not a 4 gallon pot all this time. This is the other half harvest. A gross of 88 grams on this clipping.
The second half of the harvest. It was dried while I was on vacation. It took me about 15 minutes to do trim job on a shower curtain. And I was actually wearing rubber gloves.😀
