Growman2020 I'm very excited about this grow number 5. This is the first seed of the 6 Banana Durban, auto-fem from MSG. His last 3 cherry bomb didn't grow, so this a nice redemption. His freebies last year were the Sour Diesel Sativa and this is probably the replacement. I'm using a compostable 2 ounce container. Perhaps in 2-5 weeks I'll move her outside to my greenhouse and into a 4 gallon container. It depends on the weather. Only took 5 days to germinate. 1 day of soaking in a shot glass of distilled water. 2 days on a paper towel and 2 days underground. I kept the seed warm on a radio. I kept the seed humid inside a bag, while underground.

Growman2020 I've moved a bunch of other stuff in the grow room outside so now I've got room to move her closer to the light this will help with the stretch. For now she's going to remain in the 2 ounce cardboard, compostable cup. Eventually I'll transplant to the 4 gallon container. It will be fine to do this with an auto because the container is compostable. Only the first set of leaves is showing.

Growman2020 She needs to be transplanted soon. I'm completely outdoors now. I need a little bit more dirt and some clover in order to put her in the forever home of a 4 gallon pot.

Growman2020 I added a bunch of clover and transplanted to a 4 gallon pot. Roots were coming through all over in the compostable container. It has been cold so hard to say how much water.

Growman2020 Plants aren't growing too fast. The clover looks very nice. The second set of leaves looks good and is a 3 point. The greenhouse is humid and that is evident by dew on the leaves.

Growman2020 I took some before and after pictures of the topping of this plant. The first topping is the cutting off the third node. The cut needs to be made between the second and the third nodes.

Growman2020 Fantastic it has finally got warm. Today was the last day of frost. The clover in the Banana Durban is flowering. It is not ready for a second topping.

Growman2020 By next week Banana Durban will be ready for topping #2. I got stung by a wasp and now the wasp is back. No flowers yet. The wasp must be getting ready.

Growman2020 Topping was done earlier. This is flowering. I put her out in the garden so no more wasps. There was a big rain storm. Banana Durban got drenched.

Growman2020 I wouldn't really say this was LST. I took a branch and tucked under that wire because this one leaves was causing shade. Then as the week went on I had to apply more LST.

Growman2020 See some bug infestation. I sprayed a little bit. Then it rained so most of it washed off. This is the 3rd week of flower. Coming slowly and it is getting cold again at night.

Growman2020 I'm just going to assume this plant is at least 2 feet tall. I can't top her anymore because she is in flower. She seems to be bending in one direction. Not sure yet about staking.

Growman2020 There are 4 small flowers on top and 4 small flowers on bottom. I've tried to indicate where 2 of the lower buds are falling over and have been tied up. She's about 30 inches tall.

Growman2020 Since this 30 inch Banana Durban is producing such nice buds, I'm helping the process along with 100ml daily of compost tea, because every day this week has been rain free.

Growman2020 I took some scope pictures of the trichomes. It rained a tremendous amount and many growers are worried about mold, not me. Banana Durban stayed the same height. Some leaves are dying not an issue.

Growman2020 Banana Durban is ready to be harvested. I don't think she's growing anymore. One bud was harvested and dried for 9 days. It went from 1.7g wet divide by 0.5g dry equals my usual ratio of 3.5.

Growman2020 This is the final week of flower. Hard to believe this is the whole plant. This is the first of many things. The first time I've chopped almost a whole plant and the first time I'm hanging upside down.
😀The buzz on this is amazing. It is way stronger than I was expecting. I owe it to a quick harvest. It was a small harvest and I did use a 4 gallon pot. So not sure how much better I could have done. I topped and got more than it would have been had I not topped. I'll try this plant indoors since I've got 5 more seeds.

Growman2020 Harvested on July 27 and jarred on August 3 today is August 30 and she's almost cured since 28 days will be August 31. Almost 1/2 ounce dry, makes for a 4.12 wet/dry ratio.
