Late start on my diary. Third week of vegetation. My goal is to move them outside late next week and grow them in containers. I need them to harden so they can withstand the Spring winds and hard rains. If all goes as planned I will harvest at the peak of Summer. Experimenting on LST and topping of autos.

Not the best photographer with a tablet. Second posting in five days. Easter night, the girls move outside and start their life journey in the great wide open. They have survived LST, defoliation, and now to harden to the elements. One Sweet Tooth is slim and we will see if she can make it, the other is very hearty and starting to stink up the house, so she had to go outside. Cheese is sturdy and looks promising. FastBerry girls are very healthy and take whatever abuse I give them. I am not going to do any more stress on them for at least two weeks. I have cut, bent, and poked them for two weeks and the shock of moving outdoors is going to add a lot of stress to them. Tomorrow they bask in 80 degree sun all day, should be nice start for them. Tuesday maybe some rain, but definitely wind and a chance of hail. They survive this week and they’ll be ready for the bigger storms coming next month. They are also mobile so they can come inside for a day or night.

First full week outside and it was.stressful to be a plant. Dodged a frost, but withstood four days of hard wind, 35 to 50 mph every other day. Days in between were upper 70 to 80, which was good. I did some more stretching and foliage removal last night, but with a week of cool temps and rain forecasted I need to let them recover from all the stress. I added straw mulch because the wind dries out the soil very fast. The two Sweet Tooth girls are doing well. One is still smaller and the other is one of the hardiest plants I have. Both seeds came from a plant from last season that popped a banana late, so free seeds, free weed. The FastBerry twins are adapting very well, the main stems are strong and flexible, handles the wind better than most. On the sunny days they really produce growth. First time to grow a 420 genetics but I can see why it is the top brand on GD. The experimental Cheese is doing very nice, I expect her to do well, I have never tried a cheese and don’t know what to expect with the final product.

My goal was to have all these girls outside all week, can’t do that. The weekend was cold and wet Saturday, Sunday was great, Monday 75 in the morning then 25 at night with snow. So back inside for three days. One more night of frost and freeze, them back out for sun, thunder, and 80.s come next Monday. I don’t know who’s more stress, the girls or I. They are all doing much better than I expected for the roller coaster environment that I am putting them through. The FastBerry from FastBuds 420 is in bloom. Right at six weeks with some pretty shades of purple. Heavy thick healthy stems for a solid base. I expect the low stressed branches to fatten up as the buds develop to maturity. SweetTooth still a runt and a big sister, one is dominant in growth and development while the other is slower but holding her own. The Cheese is surprising in many aspects. I guess I wasn’t expecting much from a free seed, but it is darker in rich green leaves and very healthy. She will be blooming by next week if not sooner. Happy 420 growers!

Fast Berry have both flowered, one is taller and greener while the second plant is purple from the soil up. Same birth date, same LST, just different traits. Good genetics so far. Cheese hit flower stage overnight. A very nice looking plant. Healthy, strong against the wind, easy to grow. Sweet Tooth are little slower to develop, but boy do they stink. I have them sitting between CatMint and a blooming Dwarf Orange tree to mask the smell. The orange blossoms dominate the air with the most beautiful aroma, but occasionally you get a wind of skunk. Everything bloomed this week because of the weather swing. Toads came out , tree frogs are out, and my German Shepherd won’t come in unless it rains. Spring is here but I bet it goes straight into Summer in just a few weeks.

Let's start with the Fast Berry girls from Fast Buds 420. I am very happy I chose this strain at this time of year. It has been cooler this season than I can remember and this strain does very well with the cooler temps The coolers in these plants are beautiful, my wife really likes the way they look in our garden. Very healthy and responds well to my organic nutrients of AgroThrive and banana peel compound. Can't wait to try it, but I will. The Cheese from Canuk seeds is doing very well, she likes the weather too, turning in some purple tones up close, and reaching out for the sun. Growing her next to the hops, it seems a good match for the two. Probably the most dominate plant I have at the moment. Intrigued by this one. I think the yield will be higher than I expected. Sweet Tooth girls prefer warmer weather, and so do I. They are growing, but not like the others. Sweet Tooth 2 is bigger and stockier than 1, but one is starting to flower where as two is still in veg state. 1 had a close encounter with the dog chasing a tree frog and split at the base of the stem. I think she will live, but growth and development at this stage will probably be slower and limited to what she can produce. If I can get a few buds out of 1 when it's all over, then I will take it. I didn't expect her to live at the start but she's tougher than a dog and tree frog. Thanks for visiting and leave any comments if you wish.

My first picture is of my garden that I had to rebuild due to construction. It's been a work in progress since last Fall. I am posting this for those who think that they can't grow a discrete garden, Be smart and plan it out, choose a good variety strain and grow LST. This past week Spring finally showed up and camped out. The temps jumped to 70's and 80'2 F, and rain every night. Been bone dry and it feels great to get rain and sun, plants are loving it. Fast Berry strain by Fast Buds 420 is kicking ass. It loved the lower temps while in veg state and is taking in all this rain and swelling up to be a good early harvest, can't wait. The colors they both produce are incredible. It is one of my wives favorite plants in the garden, she doesn't want me to kill it. We will she what she thinks when she gets to burn some of it. This strain has been so easy to grow and it is just a beautiful plant, low profile, great for an urban garden, balcony, or beginner grower. I highly recommend it for those reasons. We still have to harvest and taste test to review. Cheese, this thing had to be moved to the Chocolate Mint to protect it from the dog. She's been chasing bees, rabbits, and tree frogs and Cheese was in the way. Cheese split at the main stem but has recovered nicely with the help of some more LST and care. Doing well in the mint camo and the scent is masked by the strong mint. Sweet Tooth girls are still a mystery. One is a runt flowering strong putting out some major stink, but just can't seem to get over the hump and grow up. The other is just now starting to flower and has to be propped up with bamboo stakes to support all the branches she has grown, I have this one hidden amongst some Cat Mint which is a huge five year old established plant. This one is going to have some volume when it's all said and done. Reminds me of the movie Twins.

One down, more to go. Two weeks of solid rain, I can't believe any of my plants have survived, but they are all hanging tough. This one has past its due date and has all the signs of ready to go to its tomb. A very easy to grow strain, beautiful colors are strong smell. Hated to butcher this plant because it is so beautiful. Her sister looks wonderful too. I will post more later, running behind on many things, I will catch up soon.

No smoke report yet because we are in the stages of curing. Very easy to grow, beautiful plant. All organic outside grow. Withstands wind very well, it likes cooler temperatures, withstands heavy rains. A pleasure to grow. Sad to have to cut her down but the trichomes were cloudy and turning amber, so it was time to Tomb.

Buds were tight compact together. I was surprised there were so many after I cut here down. The flavor is berry, sweet, and very smooth. A very nice body high with a nice mind buzz. Relieved my body aches.

Nice Pirate Joe, very nice! I'll be keeping an eye on this grow. Too bad you can't let them tap into that magic pipe that your Wild Thai did.

@@Room_215, I’m going to let them grow because I don’t have an issue with air circulation outside, if I have a problem this time of year it’s too much wind. I agree with the concerns about stalling growth over the time it takes to heal. I’ve already battled swinging weather changes and the LST, so it times to just let them develop. I started early this year because in the past I have had autos hermie and go to shit from heat stress. Autos don’t like too much stress compared to photo types. I had two inches of snow on the ground a week ago today and three days in a row in the 80’s, that’s enough to stress me out, let alone my plants.

@@PirateJoe, I've got three autos almost a month into it. One Auto Blackberry Kush from Dutch Passion, one Red Poison from Sweet Seeds and one Fast Buds Purple Lemonade. All are looking and growing nice. My question for you is do you lollipop or clean-up your autos? I never did cause I felt the plant would try and heal instead of grow. What's your opinion? Do you even have an opinion? If your huffing on that Thai I'll look for a reply in a week or two. LOL!

@@Room_215, That Wild Thai was wicked stuff (still hitting it slowly). I am still in the process of rebuilding my yard after that sewer collapse, almost done. The second Thai plant stressed out and popped a banana or two, so I have some seeds from that plant that I am going to plant in a remote spot or two. Just going to let it go wild and see what it does. What are you growing? I have storms rolling in as I type this response suppose to last two days, then I'll update my diary. One of the Fast Berry plants has bloomed nicely and is a beautiful purple. I can't believe it snowed a week ago today, and since then it's been upper 70's to mid 80's, the plants are loving it.

@Fast_Buds, Thank you. This was a beautiful strain. The colors were amazing. I put these two plants through hell and they both withstood every element I could throw at them except for the Summer heat which just showed up today. 😍
