Northern Lights seeds cracked and showing tails at 42 hours. White widow a little slower, all seeds cracked, not really any tails. Planted all 10 seeds on 4/12/21. Testing different seedling mediums. Seeds #1 and #6 =100% jiffy seed starter. #2 and #7 = 50%/50% seed starter and Ocean Forest soil. #3 and #8 = 100% Ocean Forest soil. #4 and #9 = Ocean Forest with 25% perlite. #5 and #10 = Layered Jiffy seed starter on top half, Ocean forest on bottom half of cup. Curious to see what works best. Germinating indoors under a T-5 6500k 2 foot long 2 bulbs, 48 watts. Moving outdoors after seedling phase. Update: 4/17/21 : The seed planted in pure fox farm ocean forest grew tall and fast, the rest are nice and short with thick stems, the tall one looks good too though. So far only 2 White Widow seeds sprouted from the Crop King, the two that sprouted were in pure fox farms ocean forest and one was half fox farms and half seedling starter. I will give it up to 10 days before pronouncing the other three dead and digging em up to see what happened. 4/18/21: I dug up the white widow seedlings that didn't sprout, two where lost, the third was coiling up sideways so I planted the root down and placed the leaves on top of soil, it sprouted and started growing by 4/19/21/

NL #3 Growing a little too tall to support itself, had to stake it. WW #3 falling over, I think due to dryness, started to perk up once watered. The rest looking good, stems a little crooked, a little tall. Overall they are growing fast, the autoflowers noticeably faster than the photo periods.

Transplanted 4/25, Northern Lights #4 Root ball crumbled when transplanting, the plant seems fine, growth maybe a little slow. NL #2,3,5 and White Widow #7 all solid root ball transfers, all looked like the pics above. Transplanted a bag seed that I grew a couple weeks before as well, that one is small compared to the rest, not sure what strain it is, might be dank though. Transplanting all NL in and one WW into 3 Gallon Fabric Pots, and two WW in 5 Gallon Pots just to see if there is a big difference. Watered all 3 gal pots with 3/4 gallon filtered water, gave the 5 Gallon about 1.5 gallons of water. 3 Days later on 4/28 the soil is still moist at knuckle deep. Will probably switch to hose water for future watering. So far all plants doing well, temps are nice this week, mid 50's low and mid 80s high. Going to start getting high 90's next week, might put up a 30% shade roof and cover the pots if it starts to get too hot for the plants in the next few weeks, May should be fine but June will see over 100's temps. I kept three plants indoors under light since they are growing slow, noticed the plants I had in the seed starter mix grew slowly compared to the plants with pure fox farms or fox farms with perlite mixes, might do a quarter strength feeding on em. Soil is getting dry on 4/29, we had cooler temps and a little rain this week so it took a little while to dry out. Will water tonight with the hose.

Plants experiencing a little growth Spurt Some of the leaves on the bottom of some of the bigger plants are turning yellow/have yellow spots. The plants look good overall just the lower leaves affected. Started 1/2 strength grow big nutes. Temps rising to steady 90s, slight curl on leaves but all look good. All plants doing well.

Does anyone know what might be causing the yellow spots on the lower leaves in the two pics labeled unknown issue?

Older leaves do whither and die. They will help supply other parts of your plant with nutrition. It sucks the life out of them so that other leaves may thrive. Be careful on using full strength nutes. Over feeding is very detrimental to your plants and if they do get overfed your nuggies and overall harvest will suffer. If your following the fert label for feeding, just go half. Cheers

Got busy and didnt have time to take pics for a couple of weeks. Plants experienced another growth spurt and started showing signs of flowering. Dropped grow big nutes to half and starting feeding half strength tiger bloom. Plants are starting to get a little more thirsty with the higher temps and wind. All plants are alive and well, still slight yellowing on bottom leaves in some plants.

Sorry no pictures for this week but next week will have. Plants got about twice as big, and are looking healthy. Some slight yellowing on some of the lower leaves will try to diagnose next week, doesn't seem to affect plant too greatly. Plants are starting to flower, feeding with full strength tiger bloom. Plants are getting thirstier, giving almost 1 gallon per plant and increased frequency from every 4 days to every 3 days, they were starting to wilt on day 4. Temps rising up to high 90s during days, 60s at night.

Days are 90-100 degrees, been watering each plant with a gallon. Plants are flowering now, the genetics of each seed are different from each other, some plants are tall with thin leaves, some a little shorter and bushier with wide leaves. Will try germinating in their final pots next time, as well as putting them all in 5 gallons instead of 3, will compare their growth. Some of the leaves on the bottom of the plants are yellowing and dying. Overall they seem ok, my guess is its a PH issue since ive been feeding them regularly, going to test the ph of my hose water later today.

7th week buds are starting to fill out. Been having to water every 3 sometimes 2 days if its been 105 for days in a row. Been feeding medium heavy every watering. Pistols are still mostly white so going to hold off on flushing. Overall they seem to be doing well, started adjusting the PH to 6.2 - 6.5 each watering. Some of the lower leaves were starting to die so i pruned em to open up buds to more light. They still have plenty of healthy leaves. The white widow and the bag seed aren't looking too great, I don't think they are a good strain for my arid environment. Will probably try AK 47 and Amnesia Haze next, heard they were good for desert climate. The two white widows i had inside were looking fine until i brought them outside, then their leaves started to get crispy like the other photo periods.

Buds are getting more dense, as of 6/9 the pistols on most of the plants are reaching 50% amber so I'm going to give them one last feeding, then going to start flushing with 6.5 PH'd water for the next week and a half. Watering every 2-3 days depending on how fast the medium drys up, at the end I will let them dry out a little bit extra. Since I started watering with PH balanced water the plants seem to be doing better, less dying leaves, nice green fan leaves, frosty sugar leaves. The buds look a little airy on some of the bud sites, the short plants are like straight thick colas though, looks good. Will try LST next time to maximize light to bud sites. Still have another week and a half for the buds to fill out though.

Figured out the leaf damage was from catapillars, they killed a few bud nodes too sadly, i pick a couple off daily it seems like this week, they are causing some damage and leaving droppings, the plants seem like they will be ready in a week or so. Watering daily now, they seem to like that in the 115 degree heat wave we have had this week. Considering during a bud wash after harvest to get droppings and bugs out. Nugs are smallish.

I threw out one of the plants, was dying and had little to no bud sites at this point. 2 out of the remaining three have somewhat smaller buds and still have white pistils popping up all over, cloudy trichromes from top to bottom on these two, some clear trichromes on very bottom. So I think these two need another week or two. One plant I think is ready to be harvested, little new pistol growth, nice full nugs with orange curled in hairs. 20% amber thricromes on the top, cloudy trichromes in middle. still clear on very bottom, don't want to wait too long though for those to catch up. Will probably harvest within the next week.

Out of the three, the small one is most mature, with small but uniformed nugs. 10% to 20% amber trichromes throughout the whole plant, the lowest node is mostly cloudy with some clear trichromes. Will harvest at dawn sometime this week. The tall one looks good as well, a lot of solid nug formation, a little small but its sprouting a lot of white pistols still, will give it another week or two. The other short one had the smallest nugs out of the three but is also experiencing the most new pistol growth at this stage, will let it go for another week or two. This is about the third week of flushing, they seem to be doing well in the 105-110 degree weather we have been having, they just need water every day or every other day depending on the temps.

Looks like crop king have stepped up their white widow seeds since my last grow. Those seeds look 3x the size of the little black flax seeds I got. Off to a great start though, best of luck with the grow mate!

@Ner0z, Thanks man! Ya I read some iffy things about crop king after the fact so was a little concerned but the one White Widow is doing the best out of all of them right now. The other two are a little slower but I think if i started them in Fox Farms instead of seed starter theyd be growing faster.
