I don't have a lot of pictures for the first week, because I wasn't planning to document this, but for a first time grower I think this is a good idea.
One plant (we'll call him Fynix) had the seed shell stuck on the top and was not getting light on the leaves for about 3 days. I did not remove it because I thought that I could damage the plant. Eventually I gently pushed the seed with my finger and it fell of, also the Fynix is doing good now.
I have named the other 2 plants for easier recognition - Dux and Princeps.
The plants are growing steadily and from what I can see they're growing without any defects. Fynix is a slower growing plant, probably because the shell wouldn't come off for a couple of days, but he's catching up.
I'm considering the training methods that I could use, and I was thinking I could use both topping and LST or just LST. I'll probably try both methods and leave one plant so I can see the differences. If some one could share his/her experiences I would be very grateful and you have my thanks in advance.
All is good (I think). Dux and Princeps are growing very fast and are adjusting well to LST and the lower branches are growing and getting plenty of light. Fynix started to catch up and I did some LST on him too, so the lower branches are now growing quite rapidly and I think that by the next week he will be comparable to the other two.
I skipped 2 days of nutrients and will probably skip another one, because I think I over done it and possibly caused some root burn as the tips of some leaves have turned yellow. It should be fine.
A lot of growth this week, they bushed a lot and the smaller brancher are rising nicely. Today I've trained the branches for basically for the last time and I'm not planning to make any more big changes.
On one plant I went too hard with the training and I've broken one of the branches. I tried saving it and I think I succeeded, because the growth hasn't stopped.
Today I'm setting a new light schedule 18h - light, 6h - dark, and I'll be also switching my nutrients as buds develop.
Also Happy 420 guys🌿 Keep on growing!
A lot of spreading this week. They basically doubled in size if not more and are now starting to grow up. Due to this incredible growth I've cut some leaves of the bottom; they've just gotten over grown by other leaves and the top to let more light in.
Nothing special this week. I've defoliated the plants this week even though I've planned to to that next week, but it was just getting too messy. I'll need to defoliate even more later this week so that I can switch them to a 12H cycle on the 7th week, and not cause too much stress doing both things at once.
Happy growing 🌿
This week was a bit stressful. I was trying to identify the nutrient excess/deficiency. I think i narrowed it down to calcium deficiency, but these symptoms could also be a side effect of potassium excess (but what I gathered from my research, there is a very slim chance of this). Anyway I started to add CalMag to my regular waterings and they're showing some correction. I'll probablly water them with water, CalMag and lower than recommended amounts of nutrients for a day or two just to make sure. I had them on a 12/12 light cycle for 4-5 days, they've streched and risen up, which was what I wanted. They now on a 16/8 cycle.
Nothing special this week. I added another light, now there's a light for every plant. From the photos you can see that they're not growing equaly so I'm treating them seperatly from now on. Otherwise 2 are floweing and the third will begin flowering probably this week as it's already showing signs.
Finally got my better camera back. I had no problems this week just watching those buds grow😁 Plant 1 is growing great and this is probably its last week of nutrients before I'll flush it water for 1 week (I'll be very happy to hear your opinions on that). Plant 2 is on a similar path only 1 week behind, and the third just doesn't care and grows how it wants to😆.
Thanks for stopping by and happy growing guys😀🌿
Just watching them grow :) nothing special to add. I was considering flushing one plant this week, as I mentioned in my last post, but to be frank I didn't consider the actual flowering time and just wanted everything to be as fast as possible, which is not a good thing on my part. Now I'll feed them 1 or maybe 2 weeks longer (depending on the plant, as I'm trying to give them at least 5-6 weeks of flower (the recommended time for flower for this strain from what I can gather).
I would love to hear your opinions on this.
Thanks for stopping by and happy growing 🌿😁
I've been flushing my 2 big plants for about a week now. They've grown denser buds and the trichomes are becoming milky and I expect them to be fully grown in a couple of days (I want about 80% of trichomes to be milky). The other one is flowering nicely and I feed her everyday. The smell also shifted to a very pleasant lemon/citrus aroma and the test bud I took off last week also has really good taste when smoking.
I had a great time with this grow. Auto Banana Blaze is a great strain from the growing part to the smoking part and I recommend it to everyone. I'll be growing this strain again.
