third week after clones went into soil.. unfortunately I didn't started with photographs sooner but what I did so far: week 1: - clones of 10cm height received and went directly to 11l pot with watered soil light mix with perlite (of which roughly 10 - 15%) - I built DIY humidity dome around each clone using sticks and food foil with holes.. I sprayed inside water every now and then.. - during this time they were under 400W HPS.. temperatures around 25/28 during day and 17/18 during night ( yes I realize this range was maybe too high) - first full watering 3 days after putting them to soil.. I used 1.5 litre per pot (maybe too much I know) - clones were thriving.. all five were visibly growing leaves, no sign of any problems week 2: - I bought 250W MH light so I changed it.. temperature inside the space lowered to 22 during day and 17/18 night - soil was drying very slow - I suppose because of low amount of perlite (next time I'll be smarter about this) - next watering was 8 days after first full watering (when soil was visibly dry on top and moist one knuckle in) - I used Advanced Hydroponics Bloom / Veg / Micro with half of regular dose - again 1.5 litre per plant - plants had already over 20cm on main cola with few 4 side colas on each - I did first topping shortly before watering them.. I cut main cola on each and cut it quite low (maybe too low) - I'd say not even 10cm was left of main cola with side colas branching from there already - I also started using oscillation fan.. another mistake here as I read somewhere that I should point it to soil to help with drying out.. so I pointed to soil but to plants as well. Soon I started to see effects of Wind Burn and I believe they are still visible on some plants (dark leaves curled down) - I did some LST.. as some plants were smaller than others I tied down some branches to the pot to stretch it to the sides a bit - I defoliated a bit.. the leaves plant had from beggining - when you receive clones some leaves are on it but they are shortened.. so I got rid of these and I can't see any harm done week3 - tomorrow next watering.. now with full recommended dose of food - I'm thinking about next topping to have more colas MISTAKES SO FAR: - add more perlite to soilmix .. 30% at least - oscillation fan should not point to the leaves otherwise they'll burn - maybe I won't top that low next time - air humidity is low.. it's between 40/45 %, I'm using air humidifier and I can't get it to higher level no matter what I do.. plants doesn't seem to care too much though - I'm afraid temperature is low QUESTIONS: - soil dries 7 days again.. I plan to use less water and maybe I should just drill some holes using pencil to make it more airy? when creating holes I'm bit worried about roots and potentially hurting them - should I do next topping? after first one it took some time until plants recovered and they are still quite low.. considering I'm in middle of week 3 and I should switch at the end of week 4 (I'll maybe give it another week of grow anyway) - as you can see some leaves are clawed.. I think it's still result of wind burn.. but maybe it was symptom of over-watering? it's difficult to tell I'd say - SCRoG - I still haven't decided.. I would need more colas for that.. at least 8 on each plant meaning I need to top every cola I have again.. any idea welcome :) - do you think temperature is too low? 22/16 is not that much

do you think day temperature of 21/22 and night temperature of 16/17 is too low?

Weed has awellness temperature and that is above 20 degree and under 29 degree everything under that slows down, and above stresses her but your numbers are good, alittle warmer in the daytime would be good, but it is enough your nighttime temps are toatally okk

soil takes 7 days to dry out.. on last feeding I tried using lower amount of water, I also drilled few holes to one flower once already.. is there something I can do about it? I think low temperatures might be reason for this and lack of perlite

7 dayys is along time, and awelccome invitiation for pests do it as you mentioned and try smaller amounts between 0.3 and 0.5 l each plant check them daily,,,,, if the soil is knuckledeep dry.. water again... feeding: never feed in dry soil....... so just water tthem with the half of pure water,,, then go with your feedding mix

I watered after 5 days so slightly smaller amount of water helped. Maybe it's because roots are stronger and require more. I topped one more time. On each plant each of four main branches to create 8 colas per plant. I gave the flowers for first time full nutrients as I was afraid previously. I tied them down today before taking the photo and that's the reason why they have maximum 17cm from ground. Otherwise they'd be larger. I moved my MH light to 30cm distance to force them to stretch a bit. They still seem too squat and bushy. I also defoliated few fan leaves on each plant to let light penetrate better. My plan is to leave it on grow phase for another approx 14 days making it little over 5 weeks in grow phase.

As the girls still keep relatively low height even after 4 weeks on grow I changed the lights to 400W already while keeping them in vegetation phase. I'm watering every 4 days approximately. It's got quite crowded inside and every day they grow more and more. Middle plant is not doing so fine but others are healthy I'd say. I will not do more topping or LST. Lamp is 40 - 45cm above them so they can stretch a bit. I defoliated some lower fan leaves and even some low branches where light coultn't reach but always just one / two leaves or one branch at time.

I've got problem with one of my plants (out of five). It's bit smaller than others. It's been going on for two weeks I'd say. Leaves are much smaller and darker than on other plants. Some of them clawing. New ones are not really growing. I'm watering when soil is soft.

Browsed through your diary...my conclusion is hydric stress, meaning in this case your substrate does not drain well (no perlite like you said). What you could do is to carefully drill holes on the side walls. Try on 2 of them first, the worst looking ones. Rise a little the temp if possible to increase perspiration . Do you have a working fan in there ? Stop watering until substrate is visibly dry or the roots will rot and plants will dry. Next time You´ll know and put drainage on the must list :-) ! The other thing You could do is add 10 medium sized earthworms per pot( considering its volume), they will increase to some extent the drainage, wich is better then nothing. If no visible changes in a week, add another 10. Hope this helps. Spirit Up !

This will be final week I think. After exactly 6 weeks on grow and two toppings I'm going to switch to 12/12. I continue with same feeding schedule (once per 4 days). Only one plant (that looks weakest) is drying out lot faster so I watered it yesterday (after 3 days). I also have problem on one of the plants with leaf. Seems like P deficiency. I'm still gradually defoliating leaves / stems where light cannot reach.

4 leaves affected on only one plant. All plants are receiving same feeding and are from same clones. Based on photo and googling it looks awfully lot like P deficiency? I'm still in vegetation phase though. I'm feeding with Advanced Hydroponics Grow + Bloom + Micro based on chart

and no need for using Bloom atm,, forget the charts, sttick to your vegetation Nutes ( and only the vegetation + Beneficals) otherwise it adds up to much nitrogen. and they have no need for P and K atm

I switched to flower after 41 days on grow. Now it's day 6 on flower. I'm fed two times already with flower schedule. Smell got worse and filter is must. I think I can see some small preflowers already. Will post detail later. I did some topping before I switched and removed 30% of leaves from the bottoms. It's getting crowded inside. Leaves touching the tent on all sides I'm still defoliating every now and then. Especially the bottom leaves and some new stems low on plants. What I'm struggling with is to maintain even canopy. One of the plants is just taller and stems longer. I'm trying to keep it down with LST as much as possible. I don't want top them anymore even though this one would probably need it.. The health problem on leaves got away. Anyway new one appeared on another plant. Will send some photos later.

I skipped the week unfortunately. The problem I reported with yellowing leaves on top of the plant continues. It seems every plant is affected now. The front three ones are doing worst. I moved the light from 40cm to 50cm to mitigate the light burn but this was done 1 week ago already.. My ventilation is running on full power during day and I wouldn't say it is too hot in there. From what I've been able to google out it can be potassium deficiency or nutrient burn. I have to admit my last feeding schedule might have been close to ph7 (i'm using drops so it's hard to tell) so I gave flushing with PH 6.2 clean water to front three plants 2 days ago. So far no big improvement. I did some defoliation of worst leaves. Other than that the smell is becoming worse. The buds are growing from what I can tell (but as it's my first grow I'm not sure if it's up to speed).
