Just placed the seed between two paper towels and hence started the germination process. I'm starting this new seed because my last Red Kush seed turned out to be a mutant, a kind of bad seed, and I decided to replant it into a 4L pot and have it just for fun.
Hopefully this one will be a healthy plant and will go to a 12L pot.
---
She started showing taproot after 24hs of being placed between the paper towels. Will plant her into the final pot tomorrow.
DAY 2
She sprouted yesterday and she's looking good and healthy. She is stretching out a bit, but it's normal and if she continues to do so tomorrow, I'll move her up.
DAY 3
Watered her with 250ml of plain water PHed to 6.2. Looks healthy and grows well.
DAY 5
The lady is growing well, everything in order. The second set of leaves already forming.
DAY 8
She's growing strong, but she's also kind of rebellious to go towards the mutant side just like the other lady. However, this one is much more normal and the leaves are barely twisted. Must be the old age of the seeds or purple/underdeveloped genetics. She's beautiful though, nothing wrong about her apart from a bit of a stretch.
Watered her with 550 ml of water PHed to 6.2 with addition of rooting nutes and BTI.
DAY 10
She's special, but a beauty. Looks like the third set of leaves will be almost normal. And grows really quickly, shoosh.
DAY 12
It grew a lot these two days and I believe that so far the biggest seedling that I've had considering it's only 12 days old. Watered it with 750 ml of water PHed to 6.4 with kelp and BTI. Also, sprayed it with kelp.
DAY 17
The plant is growing brilliantly although it went onto the mutant side too, but in a better way. It's going to be really big I believe. Watered it with around 2.5 l of water PHed to 6.4 until runoff with addition of mycorrhizae with kelp, preflowering nutes, and veg nutes as well as BTI.
DAY 21
I performed LST on day 19 and she took really well to it. Will continue to LST her for the coming weeks, she's going to be a big lady. She's growing really well, by the way.
DAY 22
Watered with 850 ml of plain water PHed to 6.4. Growing well and responding brilliantly to LST.
DAY 25
Watered with 2.5 L of water with mycorrhizae with kelp as well as veg nutes and BTI, PHed to 6.4. Thought that there would be runoff but no, the plant is consuming a lot of water and there was only just a bit of runoff that I barely managed to collect. I measured its PH and EC. The EC was okay, but PH was like 5.5. I can't find a reason why it would be that low since I was always watering with water Phed to 6.2 to 6.4.
However, it was really not enough run off to measure it right (about 5 ml, not more) so I would consider it as a false test. Will just start watering with water PHed to around 6.6 from now on. The plant is growing well.
DAY 27
The plant is growing well, but I'm seeing some dark brown spots on middle leaves and blotches on lower leaves. The plant's growth is not affected. The weird thing is that PH went down on my second plant too.
I will do the same thing with two plants, I will place some dolomite lime on top of the soil, water with solution PHed to 6.6 to 6.8 with more runoff, and give her only 1/3 of dose of general auto nutes. And go light on nutes in general.
DAY 30
Watered with 800 ml of plain water PHed to 6.6 today and sprinkled the soil with 3 teaspoons of dolomite lime today, I think that'll work. The brown sports are there, but they are not progressing quickly and the plant is growing with vigor. Also, I keep LSTing her and she responds really well. Promising to be a huge plant.
The lower leaves are drying very slowly, but I think it's because they're receiving less light. I will get another LED strip in a couple of days and connect it to my current one. The plant entered into preflower and started shooting pistils.
DAY 33
Oh my, the lady is drinking well. Watered it today with 2.7 liters of water PHed to 6.6 with addition of smaller dose of veg, flowering, and organic kelp nutes. There was barely 5% runoff so I'll be watering it with 3 to 3.5 liters of water the next time so that a bit of nutes get flushed out of soil.
The PH runoff turned out to be 5.4, but it doesn't really shows on the plant. Although two leaves got some yellow marks on them, the brown spots didn't proliferate and almost stopped appearing. And she's growing really well, so no worries from now on since she's not really showing any big deficiency. Will keep watering her until runoff with water PHed to 6.5 or 6.6.
DAY 37
The plant is getting huge and started stretching pretty fast. I keep LSTing it, but I think I will already leave the main cola alone and let it grow by itself, only LSTing the side colas. There are slight signs of phosphorous deficiency on lower leaves, but I think that'll go away if I keep the water PH around 6.6.
Watered it today with around 3 liters of plain water PHed to 6.6 until runoff. Runoff PH was 6, which is way better than 5.4 from the last time, and runoff PPM was 450, which is perfect.
DAY 41
Watered it with 3.5L of water today with nutes, PHed to 6.5 and PPM 880. The weird thing is that the runoff PH was 4.9 and runoff PPM was 1900. This also happened before and both to this and to the other plant. Hopefully it won't show on the plant as it's growing really well and huge.
What am I doing wrong? Is this about this strain? Let me know in comments.
DAY 43
The plant is growing really well and so far I can't see any changes connected to the low PH/high PPM in runoff. It's stretching really quickly and I hope it'll come to an end soon as I only have 20cm of height left for it.
The lady is really huge and she'll be one of my biggest plants. Hopefully I'll chop the other mutant little girl in a week and will be able to make more room (and hence more light penetration) for this plant.
By the way, she's showing really interesting mutations as one nugget started growing out of a leaf and there are also leaves growing out of leaves, lol. Check it out in the photos.
DAY 45
She's stretching a lot and I had to move it down a bit, hopefully she'll stop growing soon. And she's growing healthy as I see no obvious signs of PH or nute deficiencies. I watered it today with shitloads of plain water PHed to 6.6 (around 4 liters or so I believe) untill runoff. PH out was 5.3 and PPM out was 1000, which is much better than the last time.
DAY 47
Growing well, started to get purple all around.
DAY 49
This bitch sucks really well. Drank 4.2 liters of water today with 10% runoff, never happened to me before as it's a lot of water. Growing well. I LSTed it once again since I harvested the other plant and now there's more room for this baby.
DAY 50
Still growing, god almighty. I think she's slowing down though as I'm still having a bit of height yet. She's a really beautiful plant and a huge one, too.
DAY 53
Gave it around 4L of plain water PHed to 6.6, PPM 220. PH out was 5.6, PPM 900, which is a better and more normal result. Although there are a couple of brown spots appearing on some leaves, they are really fewer at the moment and the plant looks healthy overall. I will continue to give it less nutrients and water with PH 6.6 untill runoff.
DAY 57
The plant is doing well and keep plumping. Watered her with 4.2 L of water with a very humble amount of nutes and BTI. PH in 6.6, PPM 600, first PH out 5.7, PPM 750. WIll continue with my strategy of lowering the nutrient amount and giving it more water with higher PH.
The rusty brown spots started appearing on upper and some mid leaves more quicker, but it doesn't look as anything serious as majority of leaves are unaffected. Hope that I can fix it or at least slower it until harvest. The only way out seems to be stabilizing that soil PH.
DAY 60
Changed colas positions and LSTed it a bit more for better light penetration. The brown spots are still there and keep appearing bit by bit and some upper leaves began showing the signs of burn, but it's not massive and she's filling up. How do you see it for day 60, people?
DAY 61
Topped the soil with around 3 teaspoons of dolomite lime and watered her with around 3.8 L of water with PPM 230, PHed to 6.6. The first runoff PH was 6.2 and PPM was 540, the overall PH and PPM of runoff (which was a lot, around 800 ml) was 5.6 and 880. Not bad but could be better. Let's see if that helps to stop the yellowing of top leaves and brown spots.
DAY 64
The yellowing and drying of the upper leaves is progressing pretty quickly, but mid and lower leaves in the shade are not affected. The plant is growing alright though, maybe just let it be as the harvest is in three weeks? What do you guys think?
DAY 65
As you can see, the calcium deficiency on upper leaves keeps worsening, but the buds are still fattening up and mid to lower leaves are not really affected. Watered it today with 3L of water with light nutes PHed to 6.6 and with PPM of 700. Runoff PH was 6.1 and PPM was 900, which is pretty decent to be honest. Let's hope that this would resolve the calcium deficiency as it seems like the dolomite lime helped.
I will remove the upper yellow dried leaves in a couple of days since they still have some energy in them and calcium deficiency usually takes a week to get resolved after stabilizing the PH. If not, it will continue downwards onto my lower leaves.
DAY 69
The buds are fattening up and it looks like the calcium deficiency at least getting a bit better. Watered it today with 3.5 L of plain water with BTT that was PHed to 6.6. PH out 5.9, ppm 900, which is pretty decent.
DAY 71
Watered it with 3.5L of plain water PHed to 6.6, PH and PPM out were 5.9 and 900, which is acceptable. The yellowing of leaves is stopping and for day 71 the plant still has lots of mid green leaves.
The plant is starting to have a beautiful fade, which is never happened to any of my previous plants. Also, it's started to smell really strong and I had to install an improvised coal filter and it seems that it's helped.
DAY 75
Watered it with around 3.3L of water PHed to 6.6 with nutes upped to 800 PPM, PH and PPM out were 6.0 and 1100. That's pretty good and there's no mass leaf yellowing now athough the almost dead leaves are not falling down, maybe I just need to pluck them off.
There are loads of buds but not all of them look filled up or fat, but I believe that was because of the calcium and phosphorous deficiencies. Anyway, I think the plant will give good yield and the buds look really frosty.
I think I'll give like 10 days more to this plant and will start looking at the trichomes soon.
DAY 78
Watered her with 3L of plain water PHed to 6.5. The trichomes are white with a little bit of amber. I think I'll harvest her in a week when she's 85 days or so.
Que maravilha ✌️
Boa sorte no cultivo e aproveita o desenvolvimento 👍
E no final que tenhas uma grande colheita 🌱🌱

@Greenfingers1988, please do, it'll be worth it! They are beautiful. Mine is almost ready, she's on day 75 now and I'll leave her for 10 days more. Just updated the diary!
I love the little light strip, not only do you get extra light on the mid-lower tiers bit something about it feels festive. It's June and I'd water my plants, take the dog for a walk and when I saw my neighbor I'd wave and say merry Christmas 🎅
