Germinated for 24 hours in a glass of water, 48 hours in a paper towel and then I planted them into biodegradable seedling pots. Northern Lights looking a bit ahead of the Dosidos seeds but that was expected I’ve grown Northern Lights before and they sprout real quick. One of the Dosidos’ first true leaves is looking a bit wonky but we’ll see how it goes I suppose.

If your paper towel is dry for a few hours while the seeds are germinating and they’ve just cracked is this bad? Will they bounce back? I watered them straight away when I saw that the paper towel was dry.

They should be fine. Just keep them moist not wet. Best of luck!

What everyone's opinion on those biodegradable wood pulp seedling pots? Should I transfer the seedling out when planting or keep it in the pot and plant directly like it says?

They will work to replant better if you remove bottom

I’m going to leave the seedlings in the small brown pots until their 1st node and then I’ll transfer them into bigger plastic 3.5gal pots with 80/20 soil to perlite potting mix. One Dosidos is looking a bit behind and the one with the weird leaves ended up catching up to the Northern Lights, maybe even growing faster than it. All Dosidos’ ended up dying but one and I’m sure it’s on the way out. Northern Lights has had no issues and growing perfect.

All Fine! They got this sometimes but its nothing to worry about unless they start to discolour fast or wilt and dry out... Just give it a bit more Time and you wont notice much of a diffrence later this happens mostly on the first few leaves a plant makes. Cheers

All of the dosidos’ ended up dying. Hope it was a case of weak genetics and not my incompetence because the northern lights seems to be completely okay, and we’re about 2 and a half weeks in now. Next node is coming in and the plant is really kicking into fast growth now around 4~5th May.

They all started to wilt like this 2 died quick and one lasted a few days longer before finally giving in. Any explanation as to why this would happen? As I was growing the Northern Lights along with them and she seems to be real happy with same watering amount and light schedule

See if any of the following matches : first , root temperature shock meaning water too cold and pot too hot. Second, second hand soil with one or more larvae inside. Third, insect bite , for example crickets (sounds loudacris, trust me is not). Fourth, soil too dry for a fair amount of time. Hope this helps.

Hey there, man I know that really sucks. 😢I seen your question, and thought I'd share this little experience I had with you. First, imo, the previous answers you've received are spot on. Those guys are a lot more experienced than I am. However, I recently had the same thing happen to me. 4 Bruce Banner autos, 3 did well in seedling stage. 1 damped off, and died for unknown reasons. I reached out to some of my associates, and was informed that it had damped off. What they told me was that it could've been for many reasons, such as fungi in the soil, maybe old soil in the pot? Might have been old seeds, cold, wet soil with bad drainage, a combination of some of these, or even, all of the above. I know this doesn't do anything for the loss, but hopefully it'll give you some ideas to prevent it from happening again. I'm growing Do si dos right now myself, but I've had to keep them inside under the lights due to cold weather. I'm not sure, but 50 degrees may have been more of a shock to the Do si dos than to the Northern Lights. Might want to contact RQS, and see what they can do for you. Hope all this rambling helped.😌 Good luck! The NL looks great!👍✌️

So the Northern Lights free seed from RQS ended up out living all 3 of the Dosidos’ “USA Premium” seeds that all died within the first week of sprouting, hopefully an explanation will be found for this as I have not been able to come to any conclusion as to what happened. Long live the lights amiright
