4th time lucky 🤞I finally have a good feeling about this one. Less just say I haven’t had much luck with growing but i think i am there. My first ever grow was 4 RQS Royal gorilla Auto..I gave it zero nutrients the whole cycle, the soil i use has enough nutrients for Upto six weeks..they grew massive, I didn’t know too much about LST defoliation ph levels ,nutrients humidity etc so just stuck them in some 12l pots and just gave them plain tap water..i knew about temperatures etc but was finding it really hard to control it especially because my setup is in my log cabin in the garden which isn’t insulated and it was November. They were also under a HPS light which I didn’t realise how much heat and light they kick out..so i was relying on my heater outside the tent and a fan on the inside to keep with in the right temperature well me being at work all day I bought myself a little Bluetooth temperature and humidity sensor but when i got in from work they were at 30+ degrees throughout the day.. neither did i LST them so they grew so tall literally 2 inches away from the bottom of the Lights height limit..two weeks before harvest they hermied BAD! I didn’t know nothing about hermaphrodites another thing I learned..so decided i would cut them down and harvest them as they weren’t growing any more..i got alot off the 4 plants but it wasn’t the best smoke and that was the end of them so I didn’t give up and thought i would try out 2 strawberry pie autos from fast buds..everything was going fine for the first few week’s I started to do LST so I could control the height more and create more of an even canopy..and not make the same mistake as the first time..I didn’t do nothing about the Ph level just thought yeah my tap water is alright..so with the same setup I learned to control the heat abit more and done the LST, well 5 weeks in they stopped growing! They hermied again..so they got the cut ✂️Is it the light? So now i started to eliminate things the light was the first thing..I didn’t want to buy something really expensive so i went on Amazon £70 Led light looked good well so I thought.. Soo me being determined i carried on bought new soil again cleaned everything out and purchased 3 Zkittlez seeds from fastbuds..put the new Led light in now were in March 2021 and the outside temperature is slowly increasing but didn’t realise the light hardly gives off any heat whatsoever so i had to up my heater to full and basically on for 24hrs a day..the light was crap! After 3 weeks they hardly did anything they were sooo slow..the humidity it was sitting at about 25%..so i done some research went on Amazon got a humidifier for about £30 worked wonders got me up to about 60% which i need in no time..but still weren’t growing alot it must be the light..put my hand in my pocket and bought a Mars Hydro Ts1000 and put that in there..it’s brilliant kicks out abit of heat not too much and alot more powerful just what I needed..so 5 weeks into the Zkittlez guess what? They stopped growing and hermied on me 😡 was it the light swap who knows.. at this point i was soo close to giving up! I started from scratch..after doing some massive research for days and reading for hours this is now what i have changed. .New 12.5l Air pots .Mars Hydro Ts1000 .Humidifier .Extra cooling fan for inside the tent .ph and ec testers which i should of done along time ago And the best purchase of all the Inkbird thermostat temperature controller..so i now have a good light different but good pots..the correct Ph level now sitting at 6.5 not at 7.5 which now i know that is what the water from my tap produces.. So i now have 3 gorilla cookie autos from fastbuds..I've eliminated alot of things and learnt soo much over the past 6 months and I think im finally close..sorry about the essay i just wanted to share my journey so far with growing and my god I didn’t think it would be this hard!
