Directly planted seeds in organic living soil. These plants are vigorously growing, topped today. By the way things are going I believe that the recovery time will be very short. All organic ingredients. De chlorinated water with vitamin c. Fan leaves are larger then my hand

Once the new shoots have at least 2 nodes (or more), are they ready for re-topping. I have plants with leaves bigger than your head quite often! You can dechlorinate your water by letting it stand for 24 hours before use, negating the need to use anything else. Hope this helps,...... Organoman.

In my city we use chloramine. The water sitting out doesn't evaporate the chlorine cause it is binded with ammonia to make chloramine. In fact letting chloramine sit over time actually increases its potency. Vitamin c dissolves the chlorine and and the ammonia.

Hi guys. Anyone else using living soil? Will going from a 3 gallon to a 7 gallon be enough nutrients to get me through 9 weeks of flower? Should I go bigger? I know I can just ammend the soil and use compost tea but I'd rather just not run into any defecinces at all. Thanks

No soil, no matter how big the pot, will have enough nutrients to grow a plant through the entire flowering cycle without supplemental feeding. The combination of your plant feeding and water leaching nutrients, will lead to your plants needing extra food at some point. Surely it is not that hard to mix a watering can of fertilizer every 10-14 days? There are plenty of healthy organic supplements available. If you are worried about deficiencies, adding something at some point will be unavoidable. Hope this helps,......... Organoman.

Most grow soil have enough nutes to get them through the veg cycle. Don't think they actually supply enough p and k throughout flowering. Unless they make a soil specifically for flowering time, then I would feed some bloom ferts to your babies. I personally have found 5 gallon containers are a great size for quick grows. I like my planters to be near root bound before switching into flower. Seem to bud the best that way. Cheers

Hey guys. Can I top multiple stems at the same time? Or should I do it gradually. Thanks.

Hey Steve, What a great name that is :) hehe I would advise training gradually as to not cause her too much stress at one given time you may slow her down or at worst stunt her I mean it seems you have been pretty heavy with the defoliation anyway so I would advise letting her recover abit from that first and then when you have some fresh new growth then start to top them one at a time. :)

So I'm day 2 into flower. Decided to flower in the 3 gallons. Mostly this is a test for some organic soil that I'm using. Gonna ammend soil with gaia green power bloom, should I do this now? Or wait? I want these plants to stress so what nutrient should I increase to make this ha

Another thing I never see mentioned (though I've witnessed hundres of times). The pot/soil/root space profile (like narrow but deep or shallow and wide) also influences the stretching dramatically.

with extra N, there may be potassium deficiency signs near the end of stretch. then you can focus on bloom nutes more.

Hi guys. On week 4 of flower and just added some gaia green power bloom. I was just wondering. I have some bloom synthetic nutrients and was wondering if there was a good time to use that when would it be? Week 5? Just to give it that extra boost. I may not even do it.curious.

Your synthetic nutrients are likely salts. Gia green is organic . I would make sure you maintain a run off every time you water if you do this. It is honestly not a good idea to mix nutrition from different places. Can trigger a chemical reaction and have major issues. Good luck and happy growing

I'm at week 6 of flower, and this plant takes 8-10 weeks. Should I add worm castings as a last feed? I also have gaia green power bloom. Should I give it last feeding? Thanks. Organic soil / banana punch strain

I would continue with the Gaia Green and plenty of worm castings too. Proper and natural worm castings can not burn, so heap it on and in future, use it all through your grow, your plants will love you for doing so! Looking at your pictures, you probably have another 4-8 weeks, so don't stop feeding too soon. The quoted 8-10 weeks is just a guide and not really applicable to the real world. There are too many variables to make the 8-10 week suggested timeframe achievable - there is a huge difference between hydro with 2000 watt HID lights and a person growing in a cupboard with cheap soil and a cheap blurple light to make these figures realistic for everyone growing that particular strain. Hope this helps,......... Organoman.

Hey bro, that would be an artificial stretch,I wouldn't do that.instead I would switch to bloom lights. dunno about leds,I use sodiums and I go with flowering lights all the way through which leads to bigger node distance. Also, do some wet-dry-wet soil cycles, this would help lengthening internodal distance. those plants will have long and united buds.I would just switch to flower lights and push extra N in it but in the end plants decide whether it's compact or not. anything to make these plants throw longer nodes would be highly unnecessary as the tendency is to have a compact structure. flowering lights during veg is a good way to get long internodal distance,I do it in my grows and yes I get highly long node spacing.at this point, flowering lights + dry-wet cycle + high Nitrogen will make the higher stretch

@Stevecraig766, if that is dry organic amendment, it is best to apply asap because they release slower than bottled, liquid nutrients. 200w at 30 inches is a lot of distance, they are probably getting weak light intensity at plant level. this may cost them energy to grow into light instead of producing strong growth nodes. intentional stretch by moving light should be a move to avoid if you ask my opinion.I would just lower the light a bit and boost more Nitrogen from day 1 of flower.plants will already get wider and taller in flowering no worries

@HighRoller909 hey man thanks for answering back! Ya I just decided to give it a shot of worm castings and a shot of N. I ordered gaia green power bloom for the bloom. When's it best to apply that? Organic ammendments? Should I wait a week or so? What are your thoughts. By the way my lights are 3500k leds. They are ment for blooming. Samsung diodes and a mean well driver. Solid lights. Have them set at about 200 watts and 30 inches up. Expecting plants to grow into light? Anyways thanks man! Happy growing!
