Things are looking sad. Growing but always slightly wilted. Definitely drying them out. Starting to see some small brown spots on foliage. Thinking potassium deficiency. Going to try a potassium foliar spray and get something with more potassium for the feed.
Transplanted both WTC from 5 gal to 7 gal fabric pots (GDP from 2 gal to 5). 10 gal pots would have been to large for the tent with the humidifier. Between the LST and the topping (once for all plants, week 7), each plant has 5 or 6 solid stalks with a few branches at the top. Set up the 4" scrog netting today to help train the canopy to fill the box (4x2 Spider Farmer tent).
Topping worked much better on the younger GDP plant in the middle. It bushed out nicely. The WTC on the sides did not respond as well as they were older. Looking forward to a final veg feeding and a major defoliation next week.
Major defoliation today. Plants looked a little sad after but it was a major stress so no surprise. Leaving the lights on 18hrs until they perk up in a couple days, then flip to 12s.
Holy crap the canopy filled out only 1 week after defoliation. GDP looks like a lady for sure. Purchased a new AC Infinity T4 fan with climate control. Senses temp and humidity and adjusts for around $100. Now working on some cloning issues. The keep failing to root despite peat moss cubes, humidity dome, etc. Just bought a Clone King autocloner cause why not. Ill try a couple more clones next week and leave it be after.
End of 3rd week of flowering. Another big defoliation today. No burns or issues with the UV bulb going 2 hrs a day. I have a CO2 bucket that isn't working so I'll have to figure that out, PPM meter isn't going above 500. Loving the purple on the GDP.
Set up a CO2 tank this week after I added another SF light (now a SF-1000 and and SF-2000) so now 300 watts of LED full spectrum lighting with an extra Flower Power UV bulb running 2 hrs per light cycle. All the reviews for the SF-2000 claim too low PAR values in the corners of a 4x2 setup, but better for 3x3. By adding the extra SF1000, it evens out the PAR map greatly.
Since temps were approaching 90 in the tent with an extra light and summer weather, I figured I should throw more CO2 in to help them cope. I wasn't getting above 500 ppm with the Pro CO2 bucket so I went in on a Co2 tank. I have the regulator set on the lowest possible setting, so barely 0.3 cuft/hr. Gets my CO2 levels in the tent between 1500 and 1600 without fail, even with an exhaust fan. I'm stoked to run CO2 throughout my next grow. With the added light and CO2, I'm hoping it will cut down on the overall cycle time in Veg while plumping up the buds for harvest.
Flew past week 8 into the end of week 9 of flowering. Seeing some differences in the plants. White Tahoe Cookies on the outside is very purple and has about 25% amber trichomes BUT still has maybe 10% clear trichomes and only 35% of the hairs have turned orange. Meanwhile on the center plant (GDP?) The hairs are mostly orange, all cloudy trichs with no amber ones, and the leaves are turning very light green.
What do yall think? When would you harvest?
Buds look great, top shelf for sure! Awesome move on the co2 to account for temperature. I'm growing in deschutes county, barely surviving these temperatures myself 😂 Good luck!
@BigDickBazuso, yeah the heat has been tough. I have fresh air circulation but keeping the garage below 90 was impossible. I lose a lot of CO2 but I feel like it saved the plants from the heat. Have gone through 2, 20 lb bottles in a month though. I'll probably stop after this next one runs out. I can make the system closed just not between May and October.
