Seeds sown 11th April, all germinated 20th April (the smokers holiday of 20/04, woohoo!). All looking healthy seedings at the moment, around 3cm (over 1") tall. Planted in normal compost, watered twice a day, in plastic greenhouse outdoors so light is normal sunlight and darkness, nothing controlled. Did same last year with x3 Royal Dwarf with good success rate. Once plants were of a decent size, fed them with seaweed liquid fertiliser. Plan to do same this year but maybe with something else added, not sure what at the moment. Also planning this year to employ LST. Have grown tomatoes for years and this works with them too, so will experiment :)
Can anyone recommend another natural additive to add to their growth? As said, last year just used seaweed fertiliser (same as tomatoes) but reckon a little something extra would help them along once they're a decent size.
Plants are growing good and sturdy. Stems strong, no support needed yet, and leaves looking good too. Used copper tape around pots to deter slugs (they got 1 plant last year!), has worked so far, no attacks. Potted on with fresh but the same brand compost as the seedlings, usual multi-compost. They seem to be competing with each other, Blueberry in the lead one week, then White Widow, then the Royal Dwarfs give a push and they're in the lead lol!
All still growing strong and sturdy. Leaves appearing at main nodules. Have found in greenhouse these tend to grow taller but am happy to see the new side shoots appearing, doing what they're meant to! Looking to repot in a week or so.
Hi, I'm currently also growing White Widow autos but indoors. I see you were still in veg state on 8th week. Is there some method how to prolong the vegetative period? Mine were in veg for 4 weeks, which is pretty much normal for autos, but if there is anyway how I could delay flowering it would really help with the final yield. Btw plant looks great, hope everything goes as it should 👌
