Looking good there. I'd recommend you mulch around the plant (though I dunno what your conditions are) if you haven't considered that.
This is more of reference in case it ever applies to you, like when you need to boost ambient/underside lighting, cool the soil, etc. but as an "addition" to mulch sprinkling mix of calcitic lime and DE, like just a light covering could be a good idea (as it's very neutral, wont hurt your plants, bugs don't particularly like it either). I mean, that gravel there is kinda similar too, although much larger obviously.
