July 13: I thought it was slowing down but it grew another 3 inches in one day.
July 17: much cooler today only about 16 C today in part due to widespread smoke from wildfires that blocks the sun. Air quality index is at 10 out of 10 or just generally hazardous ☢️. This new summertime normal really sucks.
July 19: still not clear if this is a male or not. Still in quarantine until the flowers are more fully formed.
July 20: seems to be a straight male. I’ll use this for breeding but I’ll have to keep a close eye on it to keep from releasing pollen into the garden.
Apparently about 1% of feminized seeds come up as male, and the weather conditions have been very extreme (low of -3 C one night in May, and high of 37 C three days in a row in late June) which also seems to stress the plants into producing hermies or males. This plant would represent about 1% of my feminized seeds so that seems normal enough. I can make use of a Critical + auto male so I’m not fussed about it.
Looking good and progressing very nicely !! Good luck with the grow !
Please feel free to check out/show love on some of my recent grows (Tropicana cookiez/Venom OG/Banana Mango )
Also… I have a lots of growing tips on my profile page (comments section)
Мульча из соломы это хорошо , но это является благоприятной средой для разных насекомых которые могут нападать твою малышку , запах и вкус чеснока их отпугнёт. Я так поступаю со всей рассадой
@SegaYGriega, thanks. Good point about the straw mulch. I’m using potassium silicate as part of the foliar spray which is supposed to harden the plant against bugs. Also a peppermint soap which smells a bit and Is supposed to help much like garlic would. I also have dill growing which should attract lady bugs which did good job on aphids last year.
