She was cut on day 136 way later than I would have liked but I was struggling with some health issues around that time a had to put off the harvest longer than I would have liked. She was grown in a two gallon pot filled with 50/50 coco perlite and fed with general hydroponics flora trio and CaliMagic She grew to 34 inches tall by 26"×26" wide
wider once her ties were removed.
Yield was impressive 151gr dry bud and probably another 100gr or moreof tiny budlets that I just cut up and threw in with the trim for making hash at a later date.
I was curious about this type of grow and now I can say I tried it. But I think I will be sticking with the water only soil grows that I have been doing. I find it to be a much more relaxing and forgiving way to grow that better suits my style.
@Inganjawetrust, come to think of it.. I think I'm generally a lazy grower too. Might just stick to soil as well... Hmmm... Daily++ watering sounds like a chore and a half!
@Rock_n_Roll_Randy,
Thanks man
It was quite the learning experience, the thing I learned the best though, is that I really like growing in my water only soil mix. It just makes things so much easier and yields all the top notch bud I need.
I'm noob who has never tried coco. So you recommend it bro? Seems like they def get gigantic in that substrate. Crazy grow man! She looks like a happy giant!
@Inganjawetrust, ha! Im also just as lazy. Whatever makes decent bud with the least effort makes sense to me! The >= daily watering can be a pain w coco for sure... I'll stick to soil and finish my remaining bags for sure! Thaks!
@Vincent_Van_Grogh,
Well there's no doubt it can give some impressive results, but compared to soil it's a lot less forgiving and requires a lot more attention. Personally I prefer using the water only soil mix I've used in my other grows it grows some awesome bud with little or no effort on my part, for me it's a much more enjoyable way to grow. I just wanted to give coco a try and can see it's potential but I think I'll stick with the lazy man's way.
