Day 1
Blessed by my buddy, he gave me 2 of these. Can't wait to taste these peppery buds. I have nutrients on the way and as soon as they arrive I'm starting the schedule. If all goes well I'm growing in 20l Air-Pots using a peat moss greenhouse mix as my growing medium.
Day 5
I looked this morning and the ground had still not broken. Getting a little anxious now. I'll take a look when I get home and if there is still nothing I'm going to do a little digging.
Still nothing had popped so I decided to do a little delicate digging. I did bury the seed a little deep. It had opened and was making its way to the surface, so I exposed it a little.
Day 6
Exposing the new shoot to light really got things on the go. I'll give it a few more days then move it to its final pot and start it on its nutrient schedule.
Day 7
OK so I received my nutrients a bit ago and of course first thing I do is mix a mild batch and throw it on everything. Next day this Girl Scout Cookies had a bit of a burn. Not good because this could stunt growth. I placed it on a net pot so it completely drained as much as possible. I did this to avoid any mold or over saturation where the new sapling just kinks over. I watered it with about a cup of clean water. Looking today it looks much better.
Day 8
It looks like the quick response to the burn has saved this plants life. Leaves are looking healthier and it doesn't seem to be stunted. You can still see the yellow burn on one of the cotyledons and the leaf tips have a bit of a tinge. I'll start using the nutrients when I see more substantial leaves. I've moved it to its final pot. I have this Girl in a 20L fabric bag growing in a peat moss mixture I picked up from a greenhouse supplier. I'll keep an eye on progress and will start with the nutrient schedule when it looks ready.
Day 11
My concern with the early burn was that it would stunt its growth, but this does not look like the case at all. This Girl is climbing like the rest and looking good doing it.
Day 13
Today I started the nutrient schedule as we move towards the vegetative stage. Solution was balanced to 6.5ph and I used 2L water per plant. Her leaves look like they are going to be quite broad.
