Transplanted the girls into 3 gallon plastic pots last week. Decided to do a little trial by going organic with 3/11 plants. One plant from each strain was transplanted into a Promix and Perlite blend amended with a few Gaia green products. You can see this plants without caps as they'll need to be watered separately.
We also do our usual defoliation #1 on this day. Definitely not for everyone, but we are always blown away by the results.
The stretch was real during this week. We were waiting the throw up the next layer of trellis, but could have used it to train those stretchers better. The mineral Ayahuasca Purple and 1 LSD plant were stressing us out as they tried to touch the Luxx...
Defoliation #2 as we try to expose as many bud sites to the light as possible. The organic plants are noticeably smaller than the rest of the room at this point.
Buds were fattening up nicely, and the Ayahuasca Purple was pretty much completely purple at this point. We had to tie down those taller colas trying to prevent any light bleaching.
The HLG also showed up and was hung up right away. Was cool to have 1 half HPS and the other LED with their different spectrums.
Veg tent was booming at this point! They were more then ready to be flipped but the flower room still had a little longer to go. Definitely taking 2 waters a day to avoid any wilt.
We did one last topping before the flip trying to level out the canopy. Never hurts to split that apical dominance a bit, and discourage those stretchers from taking off.
We were flushing at this point, aiming for a Day 60-64 harvest. Was super impressed with Ayahuasca Purple and LSD genetics for our environment. The Cookies Kush could have used a few more weeks to reach her full potential but still put off decent weight nonetheless.
Shoutout Barney's Farms for putting out high quality, affordable genetics! Respect.
