Of the 7 seeds, 5 successfully germinated and were placed in seedling soil in solo cups. Seedlings popped up on May 18th. Hoping to give the plants a full 18 hours during their early stage, I channeled my inner Ricky from TPB and built a make shift grow tent. I used a survival blanket to retain as much light as possible, a small space heater on fan mode to circulate air and a cheap grow light from Home Depot. Although far from ideal, it was nice being able to keep them under light all day, especially when it was raining. By the end of the week they were about 3cm tall and started growing their first real leaves.

As I intend to keep the plants outside once they're in their final pots, I wanted to start introducing them to natural sun and the temperature/wind fluctuations early. So for the next couple weeks, I will bring them out during the day (if it's nice and sunny) and put them back under their light in the evening. The deck I'm growing on get sun form around 9am till 7pm, and I hope this continues to expand as we approach the summer solstice. It's been enough for me to start a small vegetable garden, so I figure it'll be adequate for cannabis although not quite ideal. The plants so far look great! One seemed to get stuck while discarding its shell which has cause a bit of a growth stunt. I guess every litter has a runt. I've been bottom feeding them with spring water so far which seems to be working fine.

Week three started off strong but the plants quickly became unhappy with their small pots. The major leaves began to droop and one of the plants began to turn yellow. I was very busy this week but finally found the time to transplant them, sure enough, the roots were beginning to accumulate at the barrier of the cups. Their final pots are Root Farm Felt 23.9L pots. I was told these pots help with providing oxygen to the roots and provide good drainage to help prevent rot.

Had pretty bad weather this week and the pots are too big to fit in my make-shift grow tent. I tried to keep them under a light on the really bad day but left them outside for the most part. Still seeing them get bigger everyday regardless. The plant that was showing some kind of disease has rebounded since I removed the infected leaves and seems to be growing the fastest. Began giving the plants extra nutrients this week. The brand I'm using is a replica of the General Hydroponics 3 part system that's made on Vancouver Island. As I assume the soil is still quite nutrient rich, I've decided to alternate pure water and nutrient water for now and may increase nutrient feedings as the plant progresses.

Good growth this week for two plants in particular! One of them is the plant that was struggling with a disease earlier and made an impressive bounce back. Starting to get full size leaves. Still feeding with that same nutrient concentrations and schedule.

Lots of growth this week for three of the plants, two of them however have remained stunted. The three plants that are continuing to grow have started to develop large leaves and the stocks are getting quite thick. The two stunted plants have remained rather short with smaller leaves yet have started to produce white pistils indicating the starting of flowering. We experienced a heat wave in BC this week so I gave the plants an extra watering to make up for evaporated water and make sure the plants wouldn't wilt.

Got through a heat spell without too much damage. The leaves on the bigger plants have been droopy for the last couple days but other than that everything looks healthy. The plants have all started producing their flowers so I've switch my nutrient mix to the early flower period. The more developed buds have some crystals appearing too, very exciting to see.

@Rock_n_Roll_Randy, I'm using Nature's Care Organic Potting Mix. I received the same advice from an experienced grower I know and have since reduce the amount of water. This has made a world of difference and the plants are thriving!
