15/05 Slowly but she is growing with a little help of my friends. This week was a cold week with some raining. Let us see how weather developes. I gave her some Trichoderma! 18/05 First day in the garden in full sun. Up to now she had a little protection from the rainy weather we had last week. Waiting for some clay pebbles to avoid water waste

Is there any relationship between trichoderma harzianum and enzymes? Are they similar products or are they completely different?

They are completely different. Trichoderma are living strains of fungus the will colonise your plants roots. They live in a beneficial "symbiotic" relationship with your plant where they both live in a harmonic relationship. The fungus needs the plant to live on, and in return the plant is able to access nutrients more easily due to the fungus almost "pre-digesting" the nutrients in the substrate into a form that is more readily available for the plant. So it is a win/win situation for both the plant and the many species of living Trichoderma fungus. After experimenting with their (boosted/added) usage in my soil grown plants, I can now never see a time that I would not add them to my soil mix, so impressed was I with the perceived benefits. These include a reduced amount of frequency for fertilizer application, which was highly notable, and an over all increase in vigour and health. They may be a little expensive, but well worth every cent in my opinion. "Mykos" made by Xtreme Gardening is the one I use and can recommend highly. Enzymes are more of a refined extract, do not have any life and can be thought of more as a specialized fertilizer and are highly beneficial, but do not actually live in a harmonic relationship with the plant like Trichoderma do. I also highly recommend the use of enzymes, they too are great for plants and I use 3 separate types with notable boosted plant health at each application. Enzymes help release nutrients from the substrate to make them more easily assimilated by plants, just like Trichoderma, but in this instance, it is achieved through chemical reactions/synthesis. They can almost be thought of as natural plant steroids, or like what people use to bulk up, such as protein shakes. So, both these things work in completely different ways. The Trichoderma are like little "nano-bots" pre chewing the food for the plants and enzymes are like "super foods". Good luck with your explorations, you will find both these different products will help your plants health greatly. Hope this helps,.............. Organoman.

I am in the mediterranean clima zone with very hot days in the summer. Is it worth or advisable to cover de soil with some clay balls to prevent water waste and water evaporation? I have noticed that the upper part of the soil has dried out but the roots are still damp.

Yes any form of inert media(inorganic) will benefit you greatly. Perlite is also a good substitute and is white to reflect more light also reducing heat in root zone and evaporation. The perlite is cheaper as well. Happy Growing!!!

24/05 The weather is still bad for us. It is rainy and cloydy and sometimes very windy. But my girl is still growing, slowly but steadily. I gave her some clay pellets to protect the soil. Let us see what happens! Thanks everybody for your answer about the questions I made. I never thought I could use perlite for mulching. I will try it soon. On saturday I was walking in the woods and I found some pine bark. I use it on the dwarf beans. I didn't use the bark on the Plant because I am not sure abou possible insects that can cause harm on it. Well, I am still having fun! 26/05 We are happy because she is doing well. Windy says we well have some sunshine till saturday! 😎 Let's hope he is right. 28/05 The sun has been shining for two days. Now its warm. The summer is here. The sunflower I planted for camouflage reasons is big and about to flourish. The Blueberry Auto noname is also doing well. The world seems a nice place to live - at least the garden. The Blueberry auto in a double flowerpot as I have seen here.

31/05 Very Lucky. We had two days with the usual Mediterranean summer sun. Yesterday it rained again. But she is growing well. Now she is 9 cm high. The sunflowers are open. This week I will give her some nettle tea I made last week with nettle flour. I saw some ants in the neighbour beans and I will use some diaomaceus earth all around the garden. I am watering only with rain water collected in barrels. I may ad also some calmag to the irrigation water. 02/06 We worship the king-sun, immortal, brilliant; when he burns with his rays, the heavenly spirits rise by thousands to spread his splendor and send it to earth.

07/06 The sun is still shining. The summer is finally here. The plant salutes the sun from the morning to the evening. I didn't water plenty... only when I feel she needs it. I don't work with a fixed shedule. I know its kaotic :-(. I start to protect the leaves with LeaveCoat from biobizz because one off the neighbour tomatoes was misserably assaulted by leaf miners. She also got some nettle tea those days. The evolution is splendid. She doubled in size. Now she shows 19-20 cm. Her one week older Blueberrys neighbours had grown even more. We are very happy. I used some training clips from RQS on the Blueberrys. I also planted one in a double pot and the other in a smart pot. At the moment the one in the double pot one is winning the run. I will soon start a diary with two yodas from Philosophers Seeds to enquire more about the different pots and its efficiency. Some cabbage carterpillar are troubling me. The garden is full of brussels sprouts that have been attacked. I need more pirates to help me. I used some baccilus thurengensis and neem oil. Wish me luck bros! 😢

14/06 It is still very hot. The lemon potion is still small in comparation with the blueberrys nomame. Nevertheless, this year none of the plants of my garden are growing very hight. But I am happy. She has begun to flower and that is always something to be be happy with. I have a little trouble to find the correct watering amount. I am still using spruzit - may be too much because today some leaves were yellow. I cut them. I am allergic to yellow leaves. To help her with the stress I used some alg-a-mic from biobizz. It has helped me a lot in the past. I had a look on my notes and I could find a difference in the substract. The blueberrys had 100 g of nitroguano from TopCrop and the lemon potion only 50 gr. Maybe that explains de height differences between them. Well, the lemon potion has 50 g👍👍r of batguano and the blueberrys do not have any batguano. We well see what happens now. 17/06 She is growing very nicely after some days of full sun. I gave her a little Terra Bloom. As you know if you have ben following this diary I have also two bluberrys auto in the garden. One in a terracota double pot and one in an smart pot. The one in the terracota double pot (one pot inside another pot of the same size) is doing very good in comparation with the one in the smart pot. The is very interesting.

Day 47 Another week passed. We had sun and rain - dirty rain with sand coming from the sahara. She got a new friend. Her name is red hot chilli pepper and she is a friendly plant. Maybe I make later cannabis absynthe with red chilly as I am also a moonshiner. 😎 Its like a Molotov Cocktail for the liver. It is my personal valiryan fire only for special friends in small quantities, off course.😵 Day 48 Sun, sun, sun. I am waiting for the rain to fill the watertanks again, maybe tomorrow with a little luck. The Tatanka from RQS and the critical from eurogrow are doing well.

Day 54 Another week in flowering but she still doesn't grow as I was expecting. The other autos (blueberrys) are growing much better. She is still small. The only diffrenece with the Blueberrys is the size of the pot. She has a smaller one (3 gallon versus 4 gallon). I think its to small. Next time I will use one or two size bigger as I still have a lemon potion seed. Nevertheless, she smells very good and the central cola looks ok. I hope I will not have problems with humidity as she is very compact. I only give her water with some biobloom and top Max. Maybe a little to much. I am looking forward. When the tree autos are done I will grow another Lemon Potion in a bigger pot.

She is still small in comparation with the Blueberrys. But I like her very much. I should have treaten her better and gave her a bigger pot and the same amount of Nitoguano than the Blues. Nevertheless I think I will start another try in a cupple of weeks and do it better. The buds are very thight and she smells good. The harvest will be better as you may think now. She will be ready in 3 or 4 weeks. I gave her some strong PK and I think it was to much as some leavestips get burned. I am waiting for a nice summer rain to clean up the roots a refresh all the garden. BAD NEWS Today I found a broken bud. It must have been the wind or a cat. The good news is that under the broken bud is growing a new one that looks fine. With a little luck it will grow and the loss will be less.

Is a sudden mediterranean summer rain good or bad for an auto in flowering stage? Does the buds recover afterwards from humidity or is the danger of rot and illnes to big?

I would build a cover for them out of Corrugated Clear Polycarbonate Plastic and some 2x4’s it will at least keep the rain from beating your buds. Best of luck to you with fighting the mildew and all of that. Be sure to keep an eye on it.

I couldn't see her suffering so much and I gave her more substrat. It was not a complete transplanting. I only take her out and put some substrat on the base of the smart pot she was in. It was my first try of an auto in a smart pot and it was definetly to small for her. Let us see what happens the next two or three weeks. I think she will be OK, because she looks nice. She is a bid to compact for the humid climatic condictions were I live, but in two or three weeks she will be ready before the weather changes begins. I didn't see any roots while the operation and I think this is good. In a normal pot she would have been root bounded, but the smart pot helped me in this case (I hope, sic).

Well, the lemon potion is developing good since I gave her more substrat, the main cola is bigger. She is still very ugly but I am happy and I think I will have at least some weed to make edibles. Definitley I will grow another lemon potion again (if i do not receive seeds from mafia seeds, I will grow another lemon potion). I think I can do it better. The blueberry is almost ready to harvest. The smell of both are very nice. Its a joy to work in the garden. I give both only water before the sunset. The sun is very strong. We can barely move from 10 to 7. The Lemon Potion is also ready to harvest, maybe 3 or 5 days more. I was wondering if they are ready for harvest and remembered my daughters school microscope. I was able to make these pictures of the lemon potion. The trichomes of the lemon potion are much bigger than the ones of the blueberrys. They look very nice but I think they need at least one week more
