Taproots took longer than expects to show, I think the water was too cold. Didn’t expect all 4 to actually pop so the small planter is an experimental afterthought

Quick progress, I used a little soil for stability for some of the stems, very surprised at how quickly the development is going

Developing nodes at a good rate, pretty short so far but I think that’s to be expected at this stage and in general for Autoflower

Middle of week 3- 5/5. Plants showing growth at potential bud sites, stems seemed robust but flexible, introduced low stress training. Plants responded quickly and faced back up toward the light in a few hours. I manipulated them a bit and tied them back down. Noticed possible magnesium deficiency in Gelato A, but not others which is strange because I used the same amendment and filtered water for all 3 of the larger pots. Going to introduce a small amount of calimagic probably .5ml per liter, but only to that one plant. Pretty nervous about stress training, can’t stop check on the plants every few hours.

Week 3 into Week 4 brought some sad developments. While applying LST to the banana I snapped off the main cola site with no way to tape or try to salvage it. I left her growing and hoping to get even a single gram in yield to be able to say i grew it. The plants seem healthy but small, I’m expecting to see a big growth spurt in the next week or two as they approach flowering. Either that or I will realize they were stunted somehow during the process. First grow ever so I’m not using nutes at this point, just an Autoflower amendment in the bottom 1/3 of the potting soil. I wonder if they’d be bigger by now if I had used nutes. Been using a weird light cycle by mistake. I have a grow light with red/blue/burple settings that is a clamp with 4 flexible lights that have been set to blue for veg in addition to the SF-1000 light from spider farmer. I realized that while the big light has been set to 20/4 schedule the blue lights have been on 24 hours. The intensity goes down obviously but they don’t actually “sleep”. maybe this rest could make them bigger?? Or is the additional photosynthesis worth it?

Decided to give up on LST this week after I nearly snapped off a huge branch with bud sites and had to frantically tape it back together. That being said I’m Sid doing very light manipulations to them to move fan leaves that are blocking potential buds. Based on what I’ve seen I’m hoping to see some pretty impressive growth the next two weeks, or learn from my mistakes/ how i may have stunted them
