Update:
The clones all got their new homes today (6) Auroras, looking very healthy (6) Blueberries, they seem to be struggling more, I think the Aurora is a stronger strain (growthwise) and was taking over the propagator. But let see how they handle the transplanting!
Girls made it through the night without any signs of shock, I'll be keeping an eye on them over the next couple days for signs of stress.
Hopefully the first dose of nutrients will light them up and get them growing quickly! Once I harvest season 1, I'll be moving half of them to the grow room to give them all space.
Clones are looking good very bushy compared to originals at this stage of growth.
I upgraded the lights to (2) FREELICHT FLD-1000 LED Grow Light, Full Spectrum LEDs, for an inexpensive LED this light puts out some light!
Downside is it runs hotter than the mars Hydro, but I did get two of these for under $100 on amazon.
The girls really seem to loving it, they seemed to start bushing out overnight, had to raise the lights to about 18 inches over the plant because of the heat these are throwing out.
I also added a 4" inch duct fan as an intake, took a little situating around in the tent to get it all working well. I've got the tent overloaded currently while I'm finishing off season 1 flower.
Once Season one is harvested, I will move half of the plants over to the grow room.
I will say after several weeks of working with the tent vs the grow room, I prefer the grow room.
the extra space and environmentally it is easier maintain. Just my opinion, I'm sure I'll get comments the other way.
Maybe when I thin out the tent it will get better.
Well these clones are going like gang busters!
Drinking about .5-1 gallon every 3 days, compared to mother plants these girls are definitely bushier & Sturdier.
The stocks on these are already 1/2" thick, at 3 weeks they are matching the the mother plants at close to 7 weeks old!
I have 2-3 weeks on first grow before harvest, I'm thinking that I might end up flipping these to flower at 6 weeks.
All I can say is these girls are growing faster and bigger than I expected. Started clones thinking that I could keep them all in the new tent until Season 1 harvest, well tent is jammed wall to wall with foliage, they all seem very happy and healthy but looking forward to splitting them up.
Currently they are drinking about a gallon each every 3-4 days. the new LED Lights seem to be kicking ass, although they run hotter than the Mars Hydros but for less than $40 each I think i'm sold on them.
New setup is very simply setup, unlike the first grow room where I pieced everything together. Humidity sensor kicks on if it too dry, fans kick on if its too hot or humid. reservoir with a pump to feed the girls, turn on pump put hose in top of bucket open valve, less than 10 min to top off all 6 plants.👍
It is crowded in the tent! These girls are ready to spread out.
Next week is the big move week, I'll be moving half the plants to the grow room after harvest.
going to be going straight to ScrOG after transition. going to give them a week or two before flipping them to flower.
I think I probably waited too long on the first season.
Transferred all the Blueberry Indica over to My Grow Room left all the Auroras in the grow tent. It was so tight in the tent while I was waiting for season 1 to finish up.
going to Scrog both this week and flip to flower in a week. They are so tall and verticale from 6 being crammed into the 2x4 tent. Now there are 3 in each grow space.
Let's see how the cheaper led lights compare to the Mars Hydro as they are divided at equal heights and all looking about the same.
Moving things fast this week. ScrOG added in prep for flip on the 23rd, will get in and do some pruning between now and then.
Moved Lights to Max Height this tent grow is going to be tight with these girls! Hoping the Grow room will give me more head room for the Blueberries since they grew about a foot taller than the Auroras
Splitting the girls into two different methods today.
Aurora's - ScOG, Lollopped 12/12 light Co2 Enhanced
Blueberry's - Natural growth with Trimming, 12/12 light
Let's See if all the extra work on the prep for flower actually makes a difference!
Girls are all budding out.
Aurora in tent - lolipoped, ScrOG, Co2 booster
Blueberry in grow room - Keeping it natural, no trimming, no ScrOG, no extra Co2
We'll see how these method compare to the first crop!
All all things being equal, I'm not seeing much difference in the two methods.
the one thing I am noticing with the girls in the tent, the buds seem to be more compound than in previous grow.
Both Sets also seem to have more buds than season one, hoping to see these grow larger than season 1, but even if they are equal in the end I'll be happy.
I think next grow I'll be doing auto flowers.
I would some suggestions on strains, not a fan of sativas but would do some hybrids that lean more to Indica
So out of the two methods Lollipop, with Co2, and trimming vs. Let it just grow.
The let it grow was super simple, all had to do is keep the plants feed, decent amount of buds (honestly more than my first grow of 4 plants)
Although it was easier, it didn't produce near the quality or quantity on flower the high maintenance set did.
The buds on the tended plants are huge and dense. total weight on the grow tent crop is at least double if not triple the let it grow.
With the little work on the grow tent crop, I'm going to reap the rewards.
Now both the tent and grow room had equal lighting, same feed schedule, just doing the pruning and adding the Co2 seemed to be well worth the effort!
I'll be posting dry weight in about 10 days!
