Ferinky Spring-like temperatures week.

Ferinky These past two weeks, most days have been in the shade, and care has been non-existent for now. It's developing well these first few days.

Ferinky This week it has grown like a champion and I've been able to take cuttings to keep the variety in case I like it. The apical cut was made halfway up the plant to take advantage of the cuttings, and the side branches are being trained with LST using wire. I also removed the less useful leaves and shoots. There is some slight deficiency noticeable.

Ferinky Transplant week to its final 20L pot and saying goodbye to the black pots that were scorching the roots with the heat these days. I removed the LST wires to make the transplant easier and will leave it without them for a couple of days. Its branches are tough and resist LST training. For the supersoil, I used my own mix composed of: Peat Worm humus Coco Perlite Vermiculite Horse, goat, and sheep manure Homemade compost Clay pellets for drainage To which I added the following organic fertilizers: Blood meal Bone meal Fish meal Rock meal Dolomite Epsom salts Bat guano Seaweed extracts Neem meal I let the mix rest for 8 weeks, moist in the final pot, so it would be ready to use on transplant day. And finally, I placed a tablet of Mycorrhizae and Trichoderma in the transplant hole to promote root development and strengthen the plant against fungi. Cheers and thanks for stopping by!

Ferinky It's growing at a good pace while I tighten the wires and prune it. I alternate the watering, one time just tap water and the next I add Cannazym. So far, after more than two months of life, I haven't added any nutrients; with the initial supersoil mix, it seems to have everything it needs.

Ferinky I couldn't update on week 11, but here we have its current state, it's starting to stretch to prepare for the pre-flowers. Last week I adjusted the LST wires and did the last defoliation trimming.

Ferinky These are the days when the transition to flowering really starts to show. I'm fertilizing for the first time with solid seaweed extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum) at a rate of 0.5g/L, alternating with watering with just water and another watering with Cannazym.

Ferinky In this update, I'm including 2 weeks since I couldn't add the previous week due to work. On August 15th, it received the second spray of Bacillus Thuringiensis to prevent caterpillar attacks. I'm still alternating watering with water one day and Ascophyllum Nodosum the next day. I've stopped watering with Cannazym. I'm noticing a nitrogen deficiency.

Ferinky This week it has started to show its flowers and is finishing stretching out. I continue alternating water-only irrigation with one of water mixed with 100% organic bio-stimulant Ascophyllum Nodosum: Alginate acid 16% Mannitol 4% Nitrogen 2.5% Soluble Potassium oxide 18.5% It will also receive its third spraying of Bacillus Turingiensis to protect it from caterpillars. It is suffering from nitrogen deficiency, so I added a bit of humus on top of the substrate to be washed in with the irrigations.

Ferinky This week it got its first summer storm, but it handled it without any problems thanks to the branches being secured with LST wire. I took the opportunity to do a light defoliation and clean off dead leaves. I've watered once with Ascophyllum, another time with Cannazym, and the rest just water; it's been drinking about 3-4 liters every day for 40 days.

Ferinky Final stretch of flowering, the buds keep fattening up, the leaves are yellowing, and the smell is getting more intense. This week I'm including a general photo from all angles. According to the seed bank, the harvest should be ready by the end of September, and by its appearance, that seems correct.

Ferinky This week I've only watered with water just like last week. The buds are hard and heavy, full of resin and with an intense smell with a hint of sweet orange. I'll be harvesting it in the next few days.

Ferinky Hello and thanks for stopping by to check out my diary. When I bought this seed, I was looking for a fast-flowering variety with hints of orange to complete my outdoor grow. The plant grew without any problems except for some deficiencies that showed up early, especially nitrogen. Being a 100% organic grow and only using tap water for irrigation without adding liquid fertilizers was to be expected, although the final result leaves me very satisfied. Additionally, the fact that I added all the nutrients to the substrate made it easier for me to manage watering and avoid having to do a root wash. The plant developed in a 20L pot and produced 90g of dry buds, quite dense and with a pretty good flower-to-leaf ratio. The smell of the wet flowers was quite intense with sweet and citrusy notes. Regarding pests and diseases, it has been very resistant; I haven't noticed any signs of spider mites, aphids, or thrips thanks to the addition of neem cake in the substrate. I also didn't suffer the dreaded and usual caterpillar attack (neither the leaf caterpillar nor the bud one) thanks to the sprays at key times with Bacillus Thuringiensis. It was also not affected by powdery mildew, which normally appears at the end of flowering in the area where I live, nor botrytis despite the buds being dense and full of resin, so the mycorrhizae and trichoderma tablet worked perfectly, not only reinforcing the root system but also against invasive fungi. The climate has also been favorable this year; I live in a warm area where the temperature is usually optimal for outdoor cannabis cultivation. In May, it rained pleasantly on some days, June, July, and August were particularly dry, with only a couple of nights of rain at the end of August, and September has also been very respectful, raining only twice. For all these reasons, being the first time I’ve made a supersoil, I’m sure that for the 2022 season, I will repeat the system, making some adjustments to the mix to avoid the deficiencies I mentioned.
