Hex444 Just got a clone in time to plant next week. Keeping it out in the sun as much as I can manage, bringing it in at night. Already somewhat aromatic.

Hex444 Excessive rain led to the planter being water logged. Leaf damage from this... hopefully the plant can rally. Drainage has been increased.

Hex444 After improving the drainage and letting this plant dry out, I seem to have stopped the leaf damage. I'm relieved to see all the new growth coming out after everything this plant has been put through the last few weeks. Bsatard squirrels tried to plant a peanut... I don't think that counts as a companion plant lmao.

Hex444 This plant seems to have recovered from the overwatering that happened due to poor drainage and heavy rain. It loves the full sun and fresh air... I'm only able to visit it twice a week, so it's really grown a lot since I saw it last. Heavy winds bent the stalk, so I am staking it to help support as it grows before I transplant into a larger container and top.

Hex444 I transplanted my Nuken into an 80L garbage can. It was extremely root bound in the pot I had it in up until now... it seems to be liking the new home much better. I FIMmed and defoliated a little bit to clean things up... hope I did an ok job of each of them.

Hex444 Definitely recovered from the over/under watering issue I had in the beginning, and the garbage cans fixed the root binding effectively. Defoliated and tried to FIM, but I don't think it worked right. Going to try LST next.

Hex444 Really happy with how well the Nuken has recovered from its watering issue in the beginning. Shocked by how thick the stem has grown! It was getting quite a lean on, so I had to rotate and tether it to the porch railing. I was exploring some LST options with it and broke a branch... I tied it back up with the hopes of the plant reconnecting it like a finger, but I'm not sure if it's going to work...

Hex444 The Nuken suffered a bit of shock from a branch breaking... unfortunately I didn't know the tape trick when that happened! I've started LST and done a bit more defoliation, but this one will need some TLC over the next little bit.

Hex444 Pretty standard vegetative growth week. Did some defoliation and trimming, but otherwise left well enough alone.

Hex444 Everything completely fell apart for my poor Nuken this week. There are quite a few leaves showing nutritional deficiency despite weekly feedings, making me think it's nutrient locked. Also noticed that a stretch of roots are exposed... looks more like they grew up towards the surface rather than soil erosion. I covered the roots the best I could and am beginning a thorough flush of the soil trying to clear some of this up.

Hex444 A number of the fan leaves have been turning yellow and dying off. I fear it's nutrient lock-out... not sure. I've been doing the exact same care for that I have for it's neighbour, but this one had a bad reaction early on and hasn't ever fully recovered.

Hex444 The buds are really filling out on this one, even though a number of the fan leaves turned yellow or got scorched looking. I trimmed them down, and am continuing to try to flush the soil in case there is an overabundance of fertilizer that is gumming things up.

Hex444 I've been flushing the soil to try to fix potential overfeeding and nutrient lockout for 2 weeks, started reintroducing a bloom booster food to support it moving forward. Hope that will help slow the yellowing of all these fan leaves... although a lot of the ones I've been taking off probably should have come off anyway.

Hex444 Still a fair bit of fan leaf yellowing... hoping my reintruduction of nitrogen in my feeding helps turn that around. The buds seem to be devleoping nice and plentifully though!

Hex444 I am SOOOO relieved that this plant has responded well to the mini flush and reintroduction of nutrients. I was mentally preparing to harvest early before the whole thing died, but this has renewed my hope. Very pleased with how it's coming.
This plant was the most sensitive to nutrients and water... growing conditions in general I think. It lost a lot of leaves on its own, which made me worried that I had killed it somehow.

Hex444 So... I wanted to have better harvest pictures to share, but after having a terrible storm and 36 hours of rain, as well as the thieves starting to steal plants, I had to harvest the Nuken quickly in the rain. This plant gave me problems with water or nutrients early on, and I've had a love-hate relationship with it. It's been one of the fussiest I grew this year. But after a late season flush and refeed started to bring it back around, I realized that I was quite excited to try its end product. And it has the prettiest flowers of my plants!
Amazing grow! Really good job dude! I wish you the best results with the most delicious buds!
Nice to see your journals! I will drop by some times to check your progress!
Feel free to come by and say hello!
Happy growing 🥦🤩
